I got locked out of my Yahoo account and the "recover email" feature on Yahoo's website is not working. Every time I go to change my password/reset my password I end up in a loop and am getting nowhere. I need to get back into my email in order to access really important emails in order to communicate with people in my life. ****************** is my email and I only would like to be able to reset my password to get back into it.Business Response

My Yahoo mail account was hacked. All recovery options were removed by the hacker and replaced with their own. All attempt to login and regain control of the email account has failed. Yahoo has indicated they can't help any further as there are no provisions for other options on the login and pages. The hacker has gained access to personal info online and is attempting to login to my bank accounts. I am at the moment unable to access my accounts and Yahoo is allowing my identity to be stolen. All attempts to contact Yahoo support have been unsuccessful. I will require Yahoo contact me to provide information in order to help recover the account as soon as possible.Business Response

Cannot log in to my email account, try with recovery email and phone number but yahoo tells me I can't for some reason, I tried calling but they keep telling me to go to the recovery website, after repeatedly telling them it doesn't work I need to talk to someone they proceed to tell me they can't help me because ************* and to go to the global website to try recovery, it does not work and impossible to reach anyone who can help, I need to have access to my email it is important, this lack of service is unacceptable.Business Response

I have had two email with yahoo for years, one for junk mail and one for personal important emails. Only on my personal email do they now want me to verify my identity with a phone number I haven't had for a couple of months. I signed up for yahoo email support and ask them to help me recover my email which they could not do. To cancel they need to send an email to the account t I do not have access to and on top of that they want me to pay for a premium service to hopefully help with this account. There is no way for me to access my account without having to pay. I have never been more frustrated or upset to access my email which I have not had any problem with until now. It would be nice to be able to access my account without having to pay for it.Business Response

Well, I go to log into my old email and everything is GONE. I mean gone. They deleted everything and I wasn't given any notice to my email or anything about them deleting my email. I kept things since I was in Highschool in that email that I no longer have now. I mean my daughters photos. I had no idea that they would delete all the emails because I didn't use the email address. All my stuff is gone and to speak to someone I have to pay. Like I should have gotten notice and I didn't. On September 7th my yahoo account (*******************) was hacked by someone in Nigeria. (i have proof from my gmail notifications the account was accessed in Nigeria). My daughter and I changed the password and removed their email address from the "Forward replies to" section in yahoo. We actually changed the password several times but then while we were reviewing the activity log the account logged out and now when I try to login it says "Sorry, we don't recognize this email address". I called the yahoo helpline and the person on the other end said they were going to send me a code to my phone and to provide it to them. After just being hacked I knew this was a bad idea and hung up. We obtain another number from the yahoo Contact Us section and was directed to call ************, the person on the other end took my concern and escalated it to another team. They took my phone number and my alternate email address (********************) and said I would need to wait for a email and to follow the instructions. I have attempted to follow all the steps yahoo! chat has recommended to recover the email. I MUST gain access back to this email address as it's my main email with a lifetime of info. Waiting 24-48hrs in limbo and wondering if i'm going to get my account back is stressful. After reading several review people said they were charged for the help and then never got their email. I need to get access back to:*********************
Please note, I had two factor authentication on with had my cell phone, my wifes cell phone and my gmail account as options and I was still hacked and I am still unable to recover my account. While filing this complaint I used my wife's email address to be able to communicate with BBB.Business Response

My uncle has been trying to access his email account for the past month without any success. He has tried resetting his password and getting a code sent to his phone number, using different browsers and apps, but the message "uh oh we can't sign you in right now" keeps on appearing. He is not able to reach a human on the help line either since they don't recognize the number. The chat redirects him to the phone line which is useless. He would appreciate any help since he has been using this email address for the past 20 years and it's his main form of communication.Business Response
