My email account I can't get into because the email is over 10 yrs old. i wanted to go into the account to take it off my Microsoft account and they are telling me i have to sign up for a subscription to get help to get into account so I don't have to use that "yahoo" account anymore.. again haven't used that yahoo account in over 10 yrs. The "free" help tells me to call them. They are effectively holding my account hostage because I don't have a subscription. To summarize, I noticed my Microsoft accounts main email was the yahoo, but cant get into the yahoo to change it, yahoo people tell me I have to pay to effectively stop using the account.

      Hello,:

My name is *********************** I am writing with a very serious request. I want to completely remove the old recovery phone number from the Yahoo system. ************. The number has been disconnected with T-Mobile and I have since moved to Verizon.
I called Yahoo and requested that, since their system only demands to input another number for verification.
I have verified that yahoo has since sold off the numbers they collect for monetary purposes and this has caused my great stress and aggravation due to the fact that the sale of the numbers has been used to send mobile spam/unsolicited messages by the hundreds per week. Whereas, before providing yahoo my phone number on this account, there were none.
This has caused me to disconnect the number/line and because my privacy has been abused and misused by the Corporation for monetary gain.
The CSR then asked me to send a copy of my drivers license. ABSOLUTELY NOT!
I have reason to believe that these people in different countries are stealing customers' Identification and using them to create fake identities and theft of the American people's ID.
Yahoo corporation has aided and abetted criminals in this act and is using the rouse of identification and phone number authentication to cover up their scandal.
If Yahoo doers not want to remove the phone number without me providing my ID, then they can cancel the account. I will write a 2 page article in the Washington post to alert woke consumers of this theft model that this and other Corporations are using as security.

Since July 22, 2022, I am not receiving emails in my Inbox. I see a lot of emails in Spam and occasionally an email will appear in other folders, but on most days, nothing appears in my Inbox. This is not normal; I usually receive a significant amount of emails in my Inbox. I have no idea what is causing this problem. I tried to find some way to contact Yahoo for help, but Yahoo Help makes it impossible for me to file my complaint with them. I am turning to the Better Business Bureau because the problem is causing many important emails sent to me not to be received. I have paid for Yahoo Mail Help, but I am receiving no help at all. If I'm expected to pay for help, I deserve a solution to the problem, but the problem is still continuing.

If Yahoo has reached out to me, where do I see their response? I haven't received anything. If they sent the response via Yahoo Mail, that is dead right now; I need a response that I can read and relate to. I am sure Yahoo has much more to say than that. As I said, for decades I used Yahoo Mail with no problems, so having it suddenly shut down is really a shock to me.

This morning, I went to open my flickr and I just came across this message

      Attention required: Not-safe content

      Hello Realistics Photography,
Your account has been determined to contain moderate or restricted content. While Flickr welcomes a wide range of artistic expression, moderate and restricted content is limited to Flickr Pro subscribers only. Your account has temporarily been placed into a suspended state where your content will be viewable only to you as the logged-in account owner.

We ask that you resolve this issue by either upgrading to Pro or deleting your non-safe content. You can upgrade your account here:

      Upgrade to Pro

NOTE: After upgrading to Pro, please make sure that ALL of your content is PROPERLY MODERATED with the correct Safety Level before requesting review. You can find out more about our Safety Levels here:

Set the Safety Levels of Your Flickr Content or Account

If you choose not to upgrade to Pro, you will need to delete all content that is not safe for global audiences. For steps on how to delete content see the following article:

How to delete photos or videos

Once you have brought your account into compliance you'll need to contact our Trust & Safety team with a request to review your account. You can submit your request here:

flickr simply suspended my flickr claiming that I was breaking the site's rules! Almost forcing me to have a PRO account since I don't have the conditions to do so! I was super disappointed and so I deleted many of my photos that were RESTRICTED! And in order to have a faster response, because flickr is my job. So I signed the pro version because in the email it says that those who have a PRO account are answered within 4 hours and nothing has been done so far, that is, it's a lie :D Such a simple thing and I can't solve my problem. I can't work because of this. I will look for a lawyer for this case.

I had a subscription to Jayhawkslant.com (Kansas University) sports talk thru Rivals.com that never has worked. The subscription was due on July 1 and I called in early June to tell them not to renew. I received email notice that they renewed it for another year. I called again and they said they would cancel it and then got another notice that it would be cancelled July 1, 23 and charged my credit card and have refused to credit the charge ( $99.95) back

On July 5, Yahoo locked me out of my email account, indicating that I had entered my password too many times, although I had only entered it once. A temporary password was texted to my recovery phone number (I can prove this as I still have the text) and I was able to change my password and access my email. Two weeks later, it locked me out again claiming I had entered the password too many times (although I only entered it once) but this time I did not receive a recovery text. I have spent hours on the phone with support and have been told by both technical support personnel and a supervisor that the only option they have (even though I had a recovery number in place) is to send an email containing a temporary password to the LOCKED email account - that I obviously can't access. They claim they cannot send it to my phone, or to a different email address, or provide it verbally. I am at a loss as I have had this account for years and need to retrieve important information from some of the emails.

I do not consider the issue fully resolved, but have been told by Yahoo that the issue is with AT&T, not Yahoo. My family has four email accounts that we have accessed using Yahoo for many years. I submitted my complaint after the first account was locked; since then, we have experienced similar issues with all our email accounts. Yahoo Support informed me that they "only manage the mail side, and AT&T manages the verification side (passwords)." We have spent several hours on several phone calls with AT&T trying to restore our email access; we have been told that the issues are known and being addressed, but we still have one email account that we are not able to access and now appears as inactive. We are still working with AT&T to fix this, but will open a complaint with AT&T if not able to resolve.

I set up 2 'Yahoo Plus Secure' accounts to resolve a technical problem involving 2 computers. They were not able to resolve the problem, and I cancelled the accounts on July 27, 2020. (Their records show that one account was cancelled, but I know that I cancelled both since they were set up and cancelled together.) I just noticed that they continued to bill one of the accounts through June 30, 2022. When I called today (7/26/22), they agreed to cancel the account but refused to provide a refund back to the date when the service was cancelled.

I have held a free yahoo email account for several years now it was linked to my number. My phone was destroyed and so i got a new phoner and a new phone number. When trying to log into my free yahoo email account, i realized that i had forgotten my password. So upon trying the password reset, i was prompted to receive a text verification to my phone. However, my phone number is no longer the same. now I was directed to the help page or a phone number. the help page could do nothing for me without my password or my phone number. By now you should see the issue. So i contacted yahoo to reset my password and change my phone number. she takes all my info and leads me believe she's about to help me and then I'm told I must sign up for a paid plan to simply reset my free plan password. This is unbelievable so i call again and explain that i am not interested in a premium plan, I am simply locked out due to the destruction of my phone Again after hearing me clearly state the situation the rep goes on again through the whole process even having me upload my identification just to lead me to the same solution, pay for their service! Am I, the customer, now being forced to pay to recover my free yahoo e-mail account? What exactly are they doing with my identification photo? The rep went so far as to ask me WHY I wanted in MY own email account. The phone number is **************. One rep went by the name *****. I asked for a supervisor and was denied. This situation seems so unreal it seems a scam. How can a company force me to pay to unlock my free account? How can this company have me upload personal information, leading me to believe I was being helped? Where is my personal information? MY ID? How can their help page not be prepared for a person having a change of personal information due to loss of a device or number? There are emails containing my prescription information that I need, job possibilities, etc. It is a free email account, these are the Email purposes!

I am having a hard time accepting that they will contact me This is because Yahoo had refused to even accept my information , or put it to use rather, unless I paid them. Therefore, if they are able to contact me then that would mean they took my information and kept it even though I was not paying them. And if they kept my information, then why would I not have been granted access. So this leads to to my question about the uploading of my license. Where did my info go? Why did I get told to upload it in the first place? And the most important question once again, is how exactly this company plans to contact me . They have an email that they refuse to unlock and a phone number that is no longer in service?

I know the answer to one of my recovery questions, yet when I enter it correctly, it tells me to reset my password I am required to pay to do so by calling their "premium customer service". I thought the entire point of recovery questions was to avoid the ridiculous scam that is "paid customer service". This is the ONLY option they offer to reset my password which is ridiculous.

I have not had access to my email ********************* for several years and now I am unable to get into my iCloud that is attached to that email which is causing problems for me getting into my phone. There is no email backup or phone number and yahoo mail is not providing a recovery method. There is no way to chat with support or call them and the last time I tried to recover it over the phone I wasn't helped. This is extremely frustrating as I used yahoo mail as my main email for a very long time.
