I have repeatedly received spam marketing emails from them despite having all of my email marketing settings turned off on their website. They have no way of contacting them that isnt a paid customer service line to resolve this issue.

These marketing emails do not fall under the definition outlined in the notices section of the *** and in fact not respecting my unsubscription from those marketing emails is a violation of the CAN-SPAM Act. Remove me from all email marketing lists or I will move forward with legal action.

      Complaint: 23026423

I am rejecting this response because:

Yahoo responded saying "you can't unsubscribe from notifications that keep you informed of changes to your account or ********************** services" but I am not talking about these types of emails, I'm talking about purely marketing emails that I have continued to receive long after clicking "Unsubscribe" and adjusting my marketing email preferences to all be off. This is illegal under the CAN-SPAM Act in the ************* and I would like Yahoo to manually validate that those settings are off for me and cease those marketing emails.

      Sincerely,

      ******** *******

      - I constantly have to change password (monthly) for Yahoo (not for any of my other email accounts) because of data breaches and spam. - In order to do this Yahoo for some reason does not allow saving the new PW in my password app (this does not happen with any of my other email accounts or actually ANY site that requires a password )- Password changes are fraught with bugs - constant loops, receive codes, still doesn't accept a password change and on and on, UNTIL:- Yahoo set limit of attempt is reached and then you are locked out. WHAT OPTIONS does a user have?:- We are instructed to do this over and over again OR PAY FOR A PREMIUM SUPPORT PHONE CALL.- NO I will not pay because Yahoo's user interface is deliberately programmed to be horrible and defeating, requiring us to PAY THEM to fix the issue they created.- WHAT DO I WANT: I want my acccount CLOSED NOW. I want all my stored data deleted - not retained, not shared and DEFINITELY NOT sold.TERMINATE MY ACCOUNT. You can do this with my email: ldiamondstone@yahoo,com and that is all the info you get as I cannot get back into my account because of the way Yahoo has hacked how to (not be able to) change passwords.

I tried getting into my email at Yahoo! and when I enter my correct information, it asks to verify my identity. The problem is, the same issue occurs with my email, also with Yahoo!, that is used to send the verification. I also couldn't use my phone number, attached to the email, to send a verification code because it is a home phone and can't receive text messages. I've read multiple complaints from other users that had this occur to them. When I tried to get in contact with Yahoo!, they could not help me with their free services and only would help if I paid for their premium services. I would appreciate your assistance with this situation.

I signed up for a yearly subscription for ***********rivals.com. Weeks after signing up, the entire staff left, leaving the site without new content...hence changing the product last minute. No updates are being given, so I am looking to have my money refunded for the span that is left on my contract.

My yahoo account has important information on it. For years, I had signed in without any issue. When I went to sign in again, it turned on two step verification for some reason and now I'm being asked to pay to fix a mistake I did not make. I want my account back and to be able to sign in, because this is ridiculous. I do not have access to the alternative email that is listed, so I couldn't even verify if I wanted to.

Today at 1pm my email address I've had for over 15+ years was permanently locked. Tried resetting password and receive "Uh-oh" we cannot sign you in at the moment. When logging in with correct password I receive "Try a device you've signed in with before" after logging in. From the same laptop and browser I've had for years. Same messages when trying from my phone that is also years old.Called Yahoo Representative and was told the account is unrecoverable. Gone forever. The account has a password recovery email address associated with it and numerous other ways to verify the account. Apparently nothing can be done since Yahoo's system states its unrecoverable. I can verify any and all information needed. I have full access to all recovery methods associated to this email address. However, that doesn't matter with Yahoo. They decided for no reason whatsoever to lock my email address permanently and make it unrecoverable. No new sign in attempts or new locations. Just like that, I lost 15+ years of emails. It's also my recovery email address for other accounts. Unable to change email addresses without approving the email that I will never have access to again. My desired resolution is I really need access to my emails. Even if its just for one hour so I can change email addresses with accounts. I've been a ********************** customer since the dial up days and just stunned they would permanently lock peoples accounts for no reason. No warning, no notices, and even the Representative doesn't know why it just magically locked.

My phone was stolen. On that phone I had all my saved passwords. I do not remember my passwords, therefore I tried to go thru the online support with yahoo to reset them. Yahoo in the past has made me setup 2 factor authentication. I can verify the phone number but the 2nd factor is another yahoo email that I cant log into. The phone with the password manager was stolen. Yahoo's only option to contact customer support is to PAY, for a so-called premium support service. If that is premium, than where is the standard customer support?? The only other option is an AI chatbot that does nothing to resolve the issue, other than give me the number to the PAID support line. This is unjust

I've had an account with this company since the mid 90s. My original, and main, email address, Drak0mega, was intentionally locked out by them, requiring me to provide the answers to security questions I created 30 years ago, have not used since, and no longer can find. They're doing this as a way to get money from charging people to use "customer service" who no longer pay for **********************, as there's no need to do so since people no longer use dial up. However, I (and others) still keep those accounts. I ***orted this to either the *** or FTC, which only resulted in a *** for their company trying to gather all my personal information in the form of my picture ID, front and back, a selfie of me holding it, some other info I can't remember, and asking me to provide emails I received on that address in the last week. How can anyone provide emails received when they can't access their account that's been locked for over a year? They know full well that the email address I'm filing this complaint from is listed on the account info page for your main email address. No one should have to provide all their personal information so it can be stolen by someone in order to unlock and email they're blocking to get you to give them money or/and your private personal info. Also, they keep pushing for people to choose to sign in by using a fingerprint. Really? This is some serious Orwelian overlords kind of nonsense and they should be in jail for this!
