      Yahoo is holding my email account hostage. Like thousands of others, my password failed to work one day. I tried to recover and even reset thru other verification methods. However, even when they verify me they fail to help. They are requiring that I pay money to get back and send a photo of my ID, which seems insecure and incorrect. Which makes no sense in the first places as I have set-up authentication and provide the code they give me. However, its an endless loop where they just take me to the page to pay. This seems to be a massive scam happening to lots of people. Why this is still allowed to happen years later is crazy. They are forcing users to pay money for something that is their issue.

      MY YAHOO ACCOUNT HAS BEEN HACKED AND THEN YAHOO DID NOTHING. YAHOO EVEN DELETED THE ACCOUNT FOR INACTIVITY. THE ACCOUNT HAS IMPORTANT FILES AND IMPORTANT ACCOUNTS LINKED TO IT.

      I have had my Yahoo! email address ****************************************** for over 25 years. I changed my phone number and theres a bad phone number in there so I cant complete two-step verification. Apparently getting your account unlocked now a paid feature. They will not unlock my account unless I pay them money. This has always been a free account

      My yahoo mail on my tablet that I rarely use was out of date so when I tried to update after 45 minutes and 12 tries with a code they kept sending me I had to change my password twice only to be told everything was "invalid". I called their costumer service number only to be told yes it is a problem on their end and in so many words if I did not pay $12 per month plus taxes and fees they would lock up my account and mark as inactive. Which they did. I'm not sure if they deleted it or not but they will not even let me create a new account. I just want my email back.

      i believe the government is illegally surveying me and the perverted werido hacker they hired is committing identity thief in my name using the ****** and yahoo emails to obtain vital records and information that would help them file $13,400 in unemployment in my name file things on my credit profile and hijack my otheremails I'm finding a lot of these emails may be connected to a FanDuel fraud scam

      I have two yahoo accounts and have valid passwords for both. However, the accounts use each other as their recovery account and Im now unable to access either because I have a new laptop and Yahoo doesnt recognize the new device. The ********************** help website is useless, theres no online chat available to work with a support tech and no way to open a helpdesk ticket. Based on my internet searches, this is a significant problem for many users, some of whom resorted to paying for support and even then, did not have the problem resolved. This is a fundamental, unacceptable design flaw of Yahoo mail. If Yahoo hadnt forced me to provide a recovery account, this would not have happened. Regardless, Yahoo should provide tech support so the reference to those recovery accounts can be removed and I can again access my accounts. Very frustrated Yahoo doesnt provide customer support to its users.

      have TWO yahoomail accounts. the last 2 days yahoo DOES NOT SEND THE CODE IN THE 2 STEP VERIFICATION TO MY SECOND ACCOUNT.CANNOT GET IN..THEIR HELP PAGE IS now wanting me to get help which they are now CHARGING MONEY FOR!!!!!       While using AOL for email, when selecting log-out, AOL servers do not officially and completely log you out.When you log back in, they show the previous connections still active. Trying to force those connections to close is unsuccessful.This transfers between different computers, different locations and different *********************** ********************** servers fully and completely closing these connections at the end of a session, leaves these sockets open for exploitation.I have completely turned off multiple devices to prove that it's not a "cookie" issue (which is their BS excuse). Right now I can query via their email interface that multiple connections are still open for devices that I know are powered off presently.

      I have two yahoo email accounts. I've had one acct for many years **************************************** The other acct. was set up last September 2024, which was formerly a *** Internet Svc. email ****. ******************** *** members were told that *** would no longer support emails on their platform - if anyone wanted to be migrated over to Yahoo, *** would assist in doing so. I called *** and a **** assisted me in doing this. On 2/13 or 2/14/2025, I tried to log into my ************************************* email acct. and instead of taking me into the acct., a message came up saying, "Is it really you?" Underneath was a box with a partial phone # in it, which is my # (the one listed on this complaint form). I clicked in the box and a new message came up saying a code was sent to my alternate acct. ********************* I went into yahoo website and entered my alternate email address and password. Instead of getting into the account, a message came up saying, "To keep your account secure, quickly verify your identity." Underneath this message was a box with my phone number in it. I clicked the box and the message said, "You;ll get a phone call." Well, my phone NEVER rang and when I lifted the receiver a few minutes later, I had a message in my voice mail. I went into the message and it was an automated voice from Yahoo telling me to press #1 to get the code. Of course I couldn't press #1 since it wasn't a LIVE call that I could answer and press #1. I've tried several times since to get in. I believe this is the way it's programmed - instead of ringing as a live call, it goes directly to voice mail. I called Yahoo sup't and *** did NOT help, but hindered.. First the *** said she couldn't "verify" me, I had to pay a premium, then wanted a photo (?) off my license. I was shocked that ********************** would ask for that. I declined. I need to get a LIVE phone call, not a voice mail, to verify it's me and request Yahoo respond to this complaint and assist me. Thank you.
