      I am looking to get my password reset with yahoo. And they are requiring me to pay money to reset a password that they confirmed is my account. I need to log in to complete some forms for work.

      Yahoo blocked my email address ******************************************** I tried to change my password on 2/14/2025, and probably entered the new password with an error. All password recovery options do not work for some reason. I called their support line twice, they said they cannot help me, and I should wait for instruction which will be sent to my recovery email. They also confirmed my phone number and driver license number. Today, >48 hours later, I have not received any communications from yahoo and still cannot access my Yahoo mail box. I have this mail box for more than 20 years, all my accounts are linked to this mail box. I cannot access some bill payment websites and other accounts without my ********************** mail because I got code-confirmations to my yahoo email address. I would appreciate any help to restore my access to my yahoo mail box. Thank you.

      I need to restore my access to my yahoo mailbox

      Their email app is not working correctly and they want to charge me to tell them that, not going to happen...I shouldn't be charged for something wrong with their end...the app allows you to put in username but next screen to enter password never comes up, so that tells me the app is not working correctly, you would think that you could report this issue, but you can't without paying

      I have been locked out of my Yahoo! Mail account tried calling the helpline in this *************.       I've been using Yahoo Mail regularly for 18 years. However, the recovery information is not updated, and Yahoo will not allow me to log in without verification. Therefore, I am not able to access my account settings to update the info. I never realized that Yahoo customer care is trash until I experienced it for myself. They only offer customer support as a premium, paid service. The "free" service is only an info page, where Yahoo reiterates that they won't do anything to recover your account without a premium. I don't need to talk to a live agent. I just need Yahoo to let me sign in to my own account because I have the CORRECT username and the CORRECT password. Even after 24 hours, they won't reverse that **** verification step. In a time where customer service is prioritized, ********************** is doing a lousy job of maintaining their users.

      I am rejecting this response because: Yahoo has not resolved my issue and has ceased communication.

      I answered 5/6 questions to verify ownership of my account. I provided answers for all requests but the selfie with ID, and the ********************** Concierge representative informed me that Yahoo cannot continue with the verification without this photo, which I'm unable to provide at the moment. I inquired about the other information I provided but have not received a response (given two business days). It is not clear if they cannot proceed or if they just refuse to. 

      It is more difficult to verify my information with Yahoo mail than with my bank. I am using my Yahoo email to respond to the Yahoo team. I just can't login to my email on desktop because it requires a code (outdated recovery info).

      I am writing to file a complaint against Yahoo regarding my experience with their email services. After updating my Apple iPhone to iOS 18, I began receiving persistent mail error messages related only to my Yahoo accounts. Despite multiple troubleshooting attemptsincluding removing and re-adding the accounts, resetting passwords, and following all available recovery stepsI remain locked out of my Yahoo email accounts. I currently have several Yahoo email accounts, including SamuelArkin, Bigmanpizzaboy69, and ******.*****, none of which I can access. The error messages persist, making it impossible for me to retrieve important emails. After exhausting all self-service recovery options, I finally reached out to Yahoos customer service for assistance. To my shock and frustration, the representative informed me that in order to recover my accounts, I would need to pay for a premium subscriptioneven just to access my recovery email. This practice feels exploitative. Accessing my own email accounts, which I have used for years, should not require a forced subscription fee. Email is an essential service, and locking users out without providing reasonable recovery optionsbeyond a paid subscriptionis unacceptable. I respectfully request that Yahoo simply reset my passwords so I can regain access to my accounts. I also urge the BBB to review Yahoos practices, as this paywall for basic account recovery seems designed to take advantage of customers in distress.

      On going but started the first week of February 2025 and is still ongoing the week of 2/13/2025. Approximately $7 for a monthly plan for what seems to be two monthly plans. I thought I would be able to use the mail forwarding feature through mobile but I cant so I purchased the 4.99 plan as well via my iPhone. The most pivotal thing they committed to provide is mail forwarding from yahoo to my new email through proton.I tried to set up the mail forwarding from yahoo to proton and the service did not work. I wanted to call yahoo but they want to charge you for that service so i couldn't do that. So I tried live chat and got disconnected a few times. I then emailed and have been emailing back and forth about this issue. I tried all the steps there were asked of me and nothing was working. Now they are saying it is because I 'only have the mobile version." As stated about I should have BOTH the mobile and PC versions. I had also sent screenshots from my PC of the yahoo plus email and how I have access! They are now asking for more screenshots! Why is the process of my getting what I am paying this organization to do so difficult. This just feels like a desperate money grab on the part of yahoo because they know they cant compete with a service like proton which offer safety as well as free customer service features which I have so far not had to use. Y is ripping people off! I guess if you can call emailing me back and forth and giving me the run around for almost two weeks is 'attempting to resolve the issue' yes they have tried but they are useless in helping me to use the one feature I got the service to be able to use. There is no reason this should be taking this long to use a feature that is fee for most other services.
