I had a presentation done by freedom forever for solar panels. I canceled the contract within the three day period. I was also told my house was not eligible for solar panels because of the roof Being older than it should be to put solar panels on. About a month ago I started getting emails and now I have a formal letter stating that I have a $9000 loan with mosaic for solar panels. They have told me at ****** that I need to go through Freedom Forever to have them cancel the loan that I never agreed to. I do not have solar panels but now I have a $9000 loan that I never took or agreed on. I have tried to contact freedom forever but Im always placed in the queue and never called back. Last year we started the process of using Freedom Forever for our new homes Solar Project. After a few miscommunications with the company, and their installers we decided to cancel the project around September 2024. Last month, January 2025, they took a loan out in my name for the project that was cancelled through ******. Now ****** is hounding me about making payments to a loan that I never took out for a project that was cancelled before it began. I have tried going through both Mosaic's and Freedom Forever's customer support but the are unhelpful. Giving no timeline or guarantee that it will be taken care of or cancelled. I would consider a lawsuit if this can not resolve this problem as it has hindered our ability to complete other projects on our house and the emotional stress of having a loan out in your name.Business Response

I am writing regarding my solar energy system installed by Freedom Forever at my residence located at *********************************************. I have recently experienced significantly higher-than-expected electricity bills, which I believe are a direct result of the system's performance and its alignment with my utility providers policies.Based on the "Acknowledgement of Utility Billing Practices" document provided during installation, I was informed that my utility provider, *****, does not offer net metering. Instead, exported solar electricity is credited at a rate lower than the retail price. This limitation, combined with the systems sizing and lack of energy storage (e.g., a battery), appears to have caused financial strain, as the system is not offsetting my energy costs as anticipated.Additionally, the production guarantee provided as part of my contract promises a specific level of system performance. If the system is underperforming or improperly sized to meet my energy needs, it would fall short of this guarantee. Looking into getting solar with Freedom Forever in May of 24. They prequalified us and at that point after given pricing, we concluded it wasnt for us. That week we canceled all the installation and inspections. We assumed that was stopped at that point. review of credit in aug. 24 there was still an open loan for freedom forever lender Mosaic. I sent an email requesting yet another cancellation. Now in Jan of 25 the loan has still not been canceled. Ive called and been hung up on multiple times. I canceled my solar project with Freedom Forever on Jan 5, 2024, yet they have failed to process my cancellation despite repeated follow-ups. Freedom will not provide me any information for the account still open, They say that the Cancellation process they have to review it and they will notify mosaic. The cancellation process was done in 05/2024 and it should take 90 days but it has been 9months. When I talk to someone in Freedom they have to talk with someone. In July 2022 I purchased solar panels for my home with address ********************************************, from Freedom Forever for the amount of $23,550.95, but until today I havent had any benefit from this purchase.Back then, I sent several emails to Freedom Forever, asking for the documentation that the power company (******* EMC) required for the corresponding rebate.They ignored most of my emails and the ones that they responded to did not solve the problem; I spent my whole lunch time at work for weeks on the phone, asking them to read my emails and telling them that my power bills were the same, that I was not getting any savings from the panels. They always said that they would take care of my emails but they never did, and about the savings they told me that installing solar panels did not mean that I was going to have any savings in my electric bill.Since then, I have been paying monthly to the loaner (Mosaic), I still owe $22,253.62, I cannot sell or refinance my house because they put a lien over it, I did not get the taxes benefits they told me, I did not get the rebate from the power company and I have not save one ***** in *********, I do not even want the panels anymore, they can take them back, give me back what I paid so far and cancel my loan.I appreciate in advance your help or guidance regarding this case.Business Response

Freedom Forever dealer ****** ***** showed up at our door on May 11, 2024. After long talk, he persuaded us that sollar panel installation is a good idea. We were offered very quick loan prequalification, preapproval over the phone, at least this is how it was presented to us. On May 13 we changed our mind and contacted dealer via chat requesting to cancel project. A few times afterwards, we were contacted by agency selling us services and every time we responded that we 100 percent decided not to proceed. So there was definitely no misunderstanding regarding cancellation of ********** August 2024 upon checking my credit report, I found out that I have active loan with Solar Mosaic for ******** dollars and it is active since May ******* communications with Freedom Forever and **********. August, 2024. I called Solar Mosaic to cancel loan and was told that Freedom needs to contact them with cancellation request. I called Freedom forever. I was reassured that they are aware that installation never happened and it just takes long cycle to cancels loans and projects.We received email from **** ******** with Freedom Forever in on September 24 stating that project was cancelled. We assumed that loan was also ************ January 2025, I checked my credit report again and my loan is still active.January 17, 2025 I called ************ Rep ***** H stated loan Id ****** for ******** was disbursed to Freedom Forever on May 16, 2024. Loan cancellation case was submitted to ****** on September 10, 24 and but closed shortly since customer wanted to proceed. My first payment will be due on July 20, 2025.I contacted Freedom Forever . Per rep **** M, loan cancellation case ******** is opened is escalated and will be resolved within 7 -14 days.January 31 I contacted Freedon Forever. Per rep ******* loan cancellation case is still open and escalated but they will get to case in order it was received. She could not provide timeframe.Business Response

Transaction began February 16 2023 The contract price is $90,731.71 , upon signing the initial agreement I payed $1000.00 ,after installation was completed I payed $72,585.37 after passing the final inspection I payed $17,146.34 The solar panels that were installed were installed improperly & when it rained ,it caused water damage throughout the house , this shouldnt have happed because prior to getting the solar panels,i had a new roof installed. I informed freedom forever and made them aware,they denied it being their fault until I produced my receipt for a new roof ,I went through all of their proper channels to remedy the situation,they sent a contractor out to repair and do a water test ,the guy they sent did not do the job properly, kept making excuses for him to come back to the point I felt uncomfortable.I reported that as well ,I told ********* **** in business resolution all of this .Told her as long as the leak was fixed , Id pay for the painting over the repairs made inside my home because I did not want that contractor back in my home .. Now its 2025, almost a year later .We finally had rain here in ********** & the leaks are back ,the only difference is now my house is for sale and in escrow. I have reported all of this all over again ,only to be told that I have to go through all of the proper channels again. I am an actress ,who has been through a pandemic, a strike and now survivor of the la fires,The buyers are growing more nervous each day that freedom forever has me waiting to run in circles.I have less than 30 days and I've been given the run around. I cannot afford for these buyers to drop out of escrow which is now contingent upon freedom forever repairing the damage .No resolution has been made . waiting to figure out the next course of action is what I have been waiting on for a year !! Which has now caused me to lose the sale of my house !! Which was detrimental for my well being financially!! Now , as I sit here and wait freedom forevers next course of action , with no compensation makes me fill all is lost !! I have been vocal for the entire time of me signing up to have solar panels when all I wanted was to be an asset to our declining energy & I feel Ive been punished the entire way !!
