I was under the impression I would receive an 10K tax credit for adding solar to my house. My first few payments were what was agreed on and the bill raised. Freedom Forever Solar told me I had to use the 10K to keep the bill low. I never received an 10K tax credit it was more like $300 dollars. I realized there was an leak and was coming from our roof where a drill hole was made. The Freedom Forever ************* advised me that we multiple holes and it was from the installation, couldn't find the beam. I called *** Corporate and they sent the same workers out multiple times fixing one hole at a time due to work order. I'm wood and installation to include ceiling drywall was damaged in my kitchen and bedroom. I took matters into my own hands and had my roof repaired and replaced. *** Corporate voided my warranty, simply because I fix my roof to prevent further damage or complete loss. I was called about an warranty repair and they told me after opening my account they would call me back, haven't been called back to instructions.Business Response

Hello ****** Family,
Thank you for reaching out to us at Freedom Forever. We understand your concerns regarding your warranty status and want to provide clarity on this matter.
We have assigned a dedicated point of contact to address your concerns. They attempted to reach you on March 12th, 2025 but was unable to connect. They spoke with you on March 14th, 2025, to address your concerns regarding your warranty concerns.
As outlined in your Freedom Forever contract, specific terms apply to your Workmanship Warranty, Production Guarantee, and Limited Warranty. On July 24, 2023, you informed us that you had your homeowners insurance subcontractor complete roof repairs, which included the removal and reinstallation of our solar panels. Unfortunately, third-party modifications or repairs to the system fall outside the scope of our warranty coverage.
After a thorough review of your claim, our Business Resolutions Team provided a formal Voidance Letter in 2023, detailing the reasons for the warranty voidance. We understand that this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, but we must adhere to the terms set forth in your contract.
If you have any further questions, please dont hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your understanding.
Best regards,

The agreement on contract was not to remove or replace solar panels with our contact with Freedom Forever Solar.
I talked to a customer service agent that is no longer employed by Freedom Forever Solar and I was told if I had to get it fix do it just keep her in the loop. I have multiple holes on the decking of my roof that cause major damage on my drywall, basketball size holes to include discoloration of ceiling drywall. I didn't put the solar system up on my own roof? I didn't make unnecessary holes cause I couldn't find the beams. This was the fault of the workers.
Im being told since I saved/ repaired my house from complete damage or possible loss I am no longer covered up the warranty. No if the system breaks or doesn't work I'm out 33K dollars that I'm currently paying for.

Dear ****** Family,
Thank you for your response. We understand your frustration regarding your voided warranty and would like to clarify the reasons for this outcome.
Since you first reported your roof leak in April 2023, we had been actively working with you to investigate and address the issue. However, the solar system was removed and reinstalled without Freedom Forever facilitating the process, which impacted your warranty status. Below is a timeline of key events:
April 2023: You notified us of the roof leak via email.
May 1823, 2023: Our team investigated and attempted to repair the issue.
May 19, 2023: You informed us that you had contacted a roofing company.
June 14, 2023: We advised that using a third-party company for system removal would void the warranty.
July 13, 2023: You informed us that a team planned to remove the panels to take photos of the damaged areas.
July 14, 2023: You notified us that the panels had been removed and reinstalled, and the roof had been replaced.
August 22, 2023: ****** *. from our team contacted you regarding the voided warranty and next steps.
October 23, 2024: You requested a warranty reinstatement, stating that Freedom Forever took too long to complete repairs. We advised that we could not reinstate the warranty, as we cannot cover work performed by a third party.
Per your contract, the systems removal and reinstallation (R&R) must be completed by Freedom Forever to maintain warranty coverage. If the leak had been determined to be related to the solar system, we would have facilitated the R&R process for your homeowners' insurance company to complete repairs. However, as we were not given this opportunity, the warranty was voided.
Since a third party tampered with the system, we cannot assume liability for its current condition.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please dont hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,

I believe this system was placed on my house incorrectly that caused damage to the shiplap and interior drywall.
Causing me to replace wood from it's original place. Now add the damaged roof insulation and drywall ceiling.
I would like for the system to be removed and refunded all funds. This has been a complicated and misinformation was used to gain business.

Had solar panels installed about a year ago, promised savings was a lie, now panels sound as if they are coming off of roof or at least rattling severely during any time when wind is 20mph or greater. We are experiencing significant water damage and are extremely dissatisfied with the lack of resolution from your customer service team. We have tried on numerous occasions to work through their internal channels only to have teams come out and look in our kitchen cabinets (not sure why) and not even bother to go on the roof.Timeline of Events:October 2021: Contract signed for solar panel installation January 2022: Initial solar panel installation.April 2022: Solar panels activated.Late 2022: Additional solar panels installed due to insufficient energy production.Early 2023: Freedom Forever crew determined previous installations were faulty and performed a complete rework, moving all panels and conduit.Early 2023 - Present: Multiple leaks emerged, causing substantial damage to our master bathroom, kitchen, and patio roof. These leaks are directly correlated to the areas where solar panels were installed and reworked.Evidence of Damage:An independent roofing crew hired at the recommendation of your customer service representative confirmed the leaks are a direct result of the solar panel installations. They identified:Damaged shingles Damaged roof vents from solar panel materials Missing caulk/sealant around bolts Missing caulk/sealant in holes where panels and conduit were relocated I have attached two photos to this complaint and am happy to share 37 more and the independent report from the roofer mentioned above.Resolution:We request immediate action to rectify the damage caused by these faulty installations. This includes repairing our roof, replacing damaged drywall and electrical wiring, and ensuring the solar panel system is properly installed to prevent future leaks.Business Response

Good evening BBB team,
The message I received back from Freedom Forever solar is the same as I already receive for the last year. They promise me to expedite the request and that there are multiple instances involved in this project. This is exactly what the tell me over and over again. When I asked if I could be CCed on communication between parties they denied it. So currently I am still not satisfied their actions and I do not see any progress yet. I cant shake the feeling I will be led around the table again. As said before this is already going on for more then a year now and all involved parties should have been able to cancel their involvement/project by now. Please continue involvement in this issue,
Kind regards,

I had solar panels installed in just the last 2 years or so, that stopped working late summer/ early fall of 2024. Freedom Forever Solar was said to have taken over the servicing contract for ******. After roughly two months of panels not working, a Freedom Forever technician was dispatched to my home to change out the inverter. This was December *******. Just TWO WEEKS later, the system stopped working AGAIN!!!!! I have made several calls and left voicemails as well as emailed with ZERO response from Meraki Solar. I have spoken with several different people at Freedom Forever and am now being told that they are no longer servicing ****** customers as of about January 21, 2025. I need immediate resolution! Either get them working consistently or come and take the panels back and return my investment!!!Business Response

Hello Furlough Family,
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us at Freedom Forever regarding the service needs for your system. We completely understand your frustration and can only imagine how disappointing it must be to have gone through this process with no clear resolution. To ensure you receive the support you need we have assigned you a dedicated point of contact.

However, our service contract with ****** has since expired, and they have chosen not to renew our partnership. As a result, we are unable to provide service to ****** customers at this time.
To address your production concerns, we recommend reaching out to ****** directly for further guidance on next steps. While we understand that this process has been challenging, we are confident that ****** will be able to provide the support you need. We initially signed a contract in 2023, took months to get the system up and running. Once it was finally up and running we were approached but another sales *** where We Added more panals in middle of 2024 and we are now about to be 3 months into 2025 with our initial system is shut off until they can get the new one up and running- which we were told it would not be shut off that would still be generating and using it. We have been making payments each month for the original system and paying a full electric bill because our system is still not working. We have spent about $1,200 in payments of the initial system with it not working. This also doesnt include making payment when we got it originally and it still took awhile for it to be turned on. We are looking at well over $2,000 in payments made and our system still not working. We have made multiple calls to our *** and customer service as well with little to no help. All we want is a resolution as this is not what we were promised/sold on. I am wanting a call from an executive to discuss compensation and to find a resolution to get this up and running.Business Response

They have a phone and chat scam to delay any progress for repairs and a 18 day delay from day one after your warranty repair request. This was not the kind of service I was promised when I bought this system. Why would anyone buy into this kind of service when my neighbors get service from their solar company in a few days. A month of no production removed any savings for the entire year.Business Response

have reached out to Freedom Forever several times to address some issues, but I am getting frustrated because no one is following through. She gave me your email to see if you could help. The issue that I have is that I get a different person every time I contact Freedom Forever. Then when I do speak to someone, I get a promise that the issues will be resolved and someone will contact me. But no one ever contacts me. I feel like this company has abandoned me. There have been several promises that have not been kept. This is very unprofessional. Especially the lack of communication and follow ************ are the issues that I would like to be resolved. First off, I have been paying both the loan payment and the electric bill with PG&E at the same time since it took overly long to get PTO. According to the contract, I should not be paying for both. Secondly, our ***resentative ******* promised me $500 for the inconvenience of the process going way over the original time frame given. I have never received any money from Freedom Forever. I have the correspondence for that promise still. Thirdly, when the company was installing the solar panels, they drilled large bolts through the roof that went all the way through the *****. They left plastic and packaging material in my rain gutters, thank goodness we noticed before the storms came. And while installing the powerwall, a worker said to find the studs, they just drill into the wall until they find one. They left several holes in my siding on my house. They left so much damage to my home.I have reached out time and time again and never can get anyone to help me with this company. I have been completely ignored by my sales *** as soon as installation happened. They didnt even service my battery at the time of install I had to pay someone to come out and do it after I had PTO from pge because nobody would answer my calls.Business Response
