I received a letter from the ** State Controller, ********************* last week regarding a settlement check for the Dotan vs Rentokil N.A.Inc case in the amount of $447.46. This business was in charge of a class action lawsuit and a check was sent and received in 2023. They never sent a W2 and refused to answer their phone or respond to emails. Fellow coworkers have had similar issues and recommended to report them here and thats how they were finally able to get their attention.Business Response

I got a letter from **** in Feb 2022 in reference to a class action lawsuit against Southwest Patrol. Per the letter received in the mail, checks were set to be issued on February 22 2024.. But was told that there was an error and that theyd be sent out the following month. After many attempts to contact the company thereafter, there was no luck reaching anyone for an update. Past colleagues who were fortunate to get ahold of ILYM were given 1-2 or 3-4 week ETAs and either didnt receive their checks or not get the full amount. The comany is running some kind of scam after looking deeper into reviews and it shows they wait till checks are unclaimed to donate the funds. ILYM lacks communication and integrity in handling claims on behalf of those owed and their clients.Business Response

I had recently filed a complaint in regards to ILYM Group for not going through with sending a lawsuit check associated with Class Complaint / *********** v. Southwest Patrol. I have already taken steps to resolve the matter, however ILYM group has not provided any response to a complaint I had already filed for not reaching out to me in a timely matter. I understand the organization is busy. However, a business who does not provide feedback or an update to a customer should not be an operating business. Especially when it is dealing with legal matters. ILYM Group is a scam and it continues to maintain a negative reputation to all organizations that deal with them. I was awarded $2,160.49 in a settlement in Doe No. 1 et al v. *************, case no. ******C by the **** Court of Federal Claims. The law firm representing me, *********************, P.C. *************), hired the ILYM Group to disperse the checks. I have yet to receive my check, however, I know others have received them since November of 2023. I cannot get a hold of anyone at ILYM Group and have no other way of receiving my money. Originally called ILYM back in or around january to change my address for an upcoming settlement check from ***************************************** VS Southwest Patrol. At which time my address was updated and i was advised checks would be going out february 22nd. Shorty after february 22nd, myself and other co workers had called regarding checks and were told there was a delay in payment. other co workers were told a variety of excuses. on 3/18/24 i called back and was advised that checks were sent out on 3/1 ?? and would take 2-3 weeks to be delivered however we were already in week 4. when i brought that up i was told it is only counting business days. i dont understand how anything could possibly take 3 weeks in the mail even coming from over seas. from all of the complaints and reviews how has this business not been investigated? i do feel like they are trying to scam people out of their money. It looks like your payment was split in two checks - one for $72.72 and one for $1,105.38. The smaller check was from when you worked there from April to May of 2019, and the larger check was for dates from November 2018 to September 2021. When they sent us those different employment records, each record had a different address. The $1,1015.38 check was sent to an address in *******, ** instead of Upland like the $72.72 check. I have placed a stop payment on that $1,015.38 check and reissued a new check today, shipping via **** priority mail with tracking number: **********************. He gave me his personal number which continues to go the voicemail. I call again to their main number and get a lady who basically says the same. It doesn't take this long to send out.a check. This company is in charge of distributing checks for class action lawsuits. I never received my check Checks were sent out since mid January I believe all my coworkers got theirs already they re issued my check February 8th 2024 they said itll take 2-3 business weeks so M-F excluding weekends it is now March 26 2024 and still no check Ive tried to contact them and they never answer the phone .. all I want is my check that is rightfully mine .. they keep beating around the **** and avoiding everyones calls from what people are saying in the reviews.. thats all we want is our money thats it thanksBusiness Response

I was sent a letter stating I had a check to collect from a settlement case before June 2024. Since I received the letter I have to reach out to this company via all means of contact including the email address to *********************************************** various times. They do not answer their phones or emails. Its actually extremely sick that for them to carry themselves as a reputable business they dont respond to the very people they are suppose to help. Its terrible that people have to right into the BBB about not getting money that is their own. Its like chasing your tail. Absolutely disgusting being that they are in the business of helping people. Its like once they get their money they dont care if you get yours. Word of advice go to another company.
