Transferring homes was a nightmare. The First **** I was working with stop responding . The Second **** ************** was able to move me into a new home. Now fast forward I havent received my move out statement or deposit which was done on May 3 nobody is replying or nobody has an answer for where my money is . All I was told there was a delay how is there a delay when everything was done. Also my new home is being charged a smart home fee and its not a smart home . I was told it would be removed and it still stating I oweTricon Residential

I am a current resident and cannot even get a response for an emergency maintenance request. We spoke to a live representative on Friday 02 June 23 and were told we would receive a call back within 24 hours. It is now going on 48 hours. They do not have a phone number you can call on weekends. I do not recommend anything about this company.Tricon Residential

They sent me my lease renewal and the rent was going to increase $125 which is crazy it already went up $125 the 1st year so I decided that I will just buy my own house since I can pay the same amount for my mortgage as I pay in rent now. Well I went to give my notice and apparently you must give a 60 day notice to vacate although they only give you the lease renewal 45 days before the lease expires. How do I know 60 days in advanced if I want to renew my lease if you only send out the renewal offer 45 days in advanced?Tricon Residential

Tricon Residential works very hard to keep rental rates fair and comparable to the market. If your rent increases, it is because comparative rental rates of similar homes in your area have also increased in value.
Renewal options are provided to our residents more than 60 days in advance.
In addition to providing information on vacating at the time of renewal, you are provided with a copy of your lease agreement at the start of your lease.This contains the information on vacating the home and clarifies that it is residents responsible to notify our team if they wish to vacate the home 60 days prior to the lease expiration date.

14mo Renter. First, I was never advised I have gas in my home other then the gas logs/pilot light off. The mo of April rec. a charge on my rent inv. of $181.00 for gas! I pd this & have spent literally hours on the phone trying to reach to discuss. Fast forward to May, my rent did not auto ********* rec. an eviction notice? Cont. to attempt to reach them (I have been late one other time & again! It was their system that randomly dropped my auto draft). That was taken care of quickly and easily! Side note, late fee will be 15% of your rent & you cannot pay online late! To rec. an Eviction notice on the 6th of the mo? Insanely horrible customer service! If I were perpetually late? 30 days late? Maybe! But that is just absolutely rude! To top it off? I finally get in touch with someone ******, this was one of the most rude human beings I have ever spoken to! She spoke over me, talked to me like I was a criminal, admitted after she told me I was absolutely told my home had gas on my welcome letter that she looked my letter up and couldnt tell me why I was not notified. Had i been notified I would have had an acct in my name. If ****** worked for me? I can assure you her behavior would not be accepted. Listen to her recording, please! After all of her rude behavior, talking over me and telling me basically To Bad! If you use our auto draft it is still your responsibility to make sure it drafts? Really? I use this because I travel constantly and want to avoid this happening! Waiting on hold 40+ minutes? Unacceptable! If that is not bad enough? I had to get a money order and express mail my check to the tune of ***** after paying their 15% late fee! Which is also insane! Tricon drafts my checking act! I am extremely unhappy. I also rec renewal notice in my junk mail, however, unable to view per ****** because I was in the process of being evicted! ****** also refused to tx me to her supv. Told me she would call me. So I started my journey with Tricon May 5, 2023 with a coming soon home. We applied for the home based on the pictures and were approved. I started working with *********************, at first communication was a little shakey but once the GA ****** provided her with my move in date everything went smoothly from there. I also worked with ***********************. ****** is amazing. Always answered all calls and text even on her off days. Our move in scheduler, *************************, she was very sweet also. ****, the maintenance guy, very polite and helpful. As of today May 19, so far so good. Just hoping it can stay like this. Thanks Guys. Oh and PS the pictures did little justice for the house. Way better in person.Tricon Residential

Worked with Tricon as a resident for almost 3 years no problems with maintenance getting done in a timely manner. No issues with finding ways to get rent paid with multiple ways to do so. When I had to terminate my lease early because of my mother's death I had great help from them eventually and they worked with me. Sometimes it's just kindness patience and who you talk to. The people who answer the phone are people too mistakes and misunderstandings happen. Thank you again *****Tricon Residential

It has been 3 months of me trying to get my security deposit back. I moved out in January 2023 and have been blown off since. I never get a return call. “They’ll call you today” is the answer I get every time. They’re quick to take your money but the legal 30 day return of your deposit and magically the company doesn’t exist. Terrible. People depend on this money. Especially when the house is left with zero damage. In good condition. I will be seeking legal advice as my next step. This company needs to be held liable.Tricon Residential

Do not sell to this company if you are trying to sell your house. Take a real person's offer. This company uses shady tactics to pressure people into taking their cash offers. They swoop in and offer one amount then dramatically decrease it the day due diligence period is to end then say take it or leave it and as im sure many are in a bind at that point they get away with it. A quick close seems great but don't be swindled by the scheme they pull. A company that can show a **** of America letter showing they have over 39 million dollars in their account to prove they can offer you cash shouldn't be offering you 50k under your market value so they can protect their bottom line. They set the price of the rental market by buying up all the available homes in an area. Don't be fooled and feel you HAVE to take their offer! Sell to real people!Tricon Residential

I am genuinely overwhelmed with this company. When I initially moved in there were multiple active gas leaks later to find out that there were more months after. Not to mention, when I moved in a NC ******* Gas Technician came to the home stating that an order for a gas leak had been placed by me. I hadnt placed an order and had only been in the home for only a few days. Fast forward to almost three weeks ago, my home flooded due to an issue with the plumbing. Not only has dealing with their automated system for an emergency maintenance been difficult but, also dealing with the people who should assist has been overwhelming. They finally sent someone out two days later to put dehumidifiers in the home. They didnt even attempt to remove any water. The following day someone came to put a pressure valve in the way. That fixed the issue with the knocking in the wall from and I guess with the flooding. I later called multiple times in regard to the wet carpet and the mildewing in the wall. Out of those calls I was hung up on, promised another call back, or given some excuse. Someone finally came May 1, 2023 to remove the damaged carpet, base boards, and mildewed wall. As of now, there are no floors and theres a hole in the wall from my room through the laundry room. I still havent received a call regarding new carpet. Me and my child are starting to have breathing issues as we both have asthma and no one wont be back out for another few days for the drywall. My issue now lies where I received an email **************************************** my the arrears and they are demanding a payment or I will be removed from the premises however, I have a bank statement showing that my payment for ***** was submitted and I still have a few days left to submit my payment legally without any fees. I genuinely do not want anything from them. I didnt ask for financial compensation or to be moved. I just wanted a home that was livable for me and my baby. Its really unfair.Tricon Residential
