      Sallie Mae or loan sharks they are untrue and have the highest interest rates ever I at 17 had no other choice and I wish I did I wouldn't have went to school. I owe them over $80,000 and there's no way I'll be able to pay it off anytime soon. They expect me to pay a $900 payment each month. That is totally unrealistic and they will not help lower their payments. Sallie Mae is robbery and if I could save you don't do it

      I wish I would have found these reviews before accepting this loan. The only concern of any one working at Sallie Mae is if you are able to make your payment online. They will constantly blow your phone up to try and get you to answer. I called for assistance with my loan and they were not concerned with helping at all.

      this company should be shut down we did a co sign for our son for college and 10% interest?!?!? are you serious?? for young kid this should be illegal they will never get this loan paid off. We started making payments and are now seeing interest is being charged twice a month! WHY can't someone do something??!?!?!? let everyone you know never use this company they will not do anything to help these poor young people all they care about is money. We all need to figure out how we can stop this!!!

      Very poor communication: my account was up to date in may of 2023. At that time I sought out info on re enrolling for the rate reduction program. I was told by a representative in may that my account would need to be in delinquent status before they could let me know. She advised me to let the june 12 payment go late. I did so and called back around June 28 and they checked and told me that no I would not and could apply until February of 2024. Since then I have gotten an average if 5-10 calls a day for payment. Everytime I explain the situation and tell them I am making monthly payments. I continue getting letters also telling me to call for payment options in which I do and they tell me that I don’t qualify. I did what they told me to do and yet they are hounding me for payment. They want me to go from $125.00 payment plan to $509-800 payment.

      I wouldn't give them any stars if I could. The worst student loan lenders in a horrible industry. First of all, the 10% interest they charge is usery and should be outlawed. Second, their customer service people are not very good and I hesitate to pick on customer service reps since they have tough jobs dealing with angry people sometimes.
      But, they didn't seem very interested in helping me understand how I could get a lower interest rate.
      I did everything I could to pay these monsters off as soon as I could and not pay their inhuman interest rates.
      STAY AWAY from them.

      PREDATORY LENDER STAY AWAY

      Highest interest rates I've ever seen. they are supposed to work form the SOFR index rate to calculate the current rates. as of 07/18/2023 the SOFR rate for student loans was %5.06 yet they are charging my daughter %15.125!! I called to get an explanation and they don't know or don't want to admit to predatory lending practices. STAY AWAY from this lender they are despicable and should be brought under litigation.

      Worst company I have ever worked with! I am trying to get rid of them asap! Do not get a loan from them. My monthly payment is half of one of my paychecks!! I can’t afford that! And I called about programs and they “enrolled” me and didn’t communicate with the other departments so it never started the program and screwed me over even further! I just tried to give the student loan to a new company because I have been paying on these for years and my amount never goes down. It’s all interest. And they are calling me 6 times or more per day! I have talked to so many people and told them I am switching companies and the new company said don’t give them anymore money. They were constantly calling my family members like my brother and a bunch of random relatives that have nothing to do with me!! Why are you calling them about my student loan? Their number isn’t anywhere on any of my loans!!! They are stalking me and harassing my family members. I tell them all the time that I am done and to stop calling and then they transfer the case to someone else in the company and they will try to call me again over and over and over again. Do yourself a favor and RUN!

      Sallie Mae is one of the worst financial lenders around. My biggest regret was accepting their loans. I have recently been unemployed from my job and it’s been very tough financially. I have to pay rent, car not, groceries etc. this high loan payment isn’t a necessity. For them not to have any empathy for my situation shows how sorry they are. The constant calling ever hour and calling relatives is just ridiculous and pathetic. What’s up with all the harassment? I will be taking legal matters to address this nonsense!

      Sallie Mae took my student loan payments for 3 years and now that I am eligible for PSLF they cant locate my account or my payment history.
