Visa blocked the $444 upfront charge with Guest Reservations for a 2 night stay that was supposed to be $212. Thank You Visa! Then I got a text appearing to be from Visa (but was not) asking me if I wanted to cancel my credit card or leave it open...now I am getting lots of pop up ads from Guest Reservations. Not nice people. I replaced my Visa card just because I don't trust Guest Reservations having any access to my account.

Absolute ripoff... misleading webpages with actual "total price" well concealed until AFTER you've committed to pay non refundable charge. Their "service fee" is then more than 50%!

    AVOID GuestReservations.com!

This company will willfully and purposefully defraud you. We paid over $1,000 for reservations for a hotel near Carlsbad, CA in March, that were scheduled for a July, 2023 stay. We showed up at the hotel at 11:00 p.m. on check in night with three youth. The whole place was shut down, locked up with chain link fences and gates locked. The hotel literally had shut down and no one from Guest Reservations had let us know that the hotel was closed nor even offered to refund our money. We had to scramble
at midnight to get another hotel with three kids in tow. Guest Reservations should be ashamed of themselves. We then called them and after a long time on hold on the phone, we finally got them to refund our money. By the way, the money has still not posted to our account yet. I asked them, "Is your company going to call all the people who have made reservations at this hotel and let them know that the hotel is closed?" They implied they had no intention of informing any other guests or refunding any other of their clients money. Absolute frauds! Avoid this company at all costs!

The company is a definite scam...didn't show the fees until it was time to confirm. I exited the site without hitting the confirm but they still confirmed it and charged me $78.37 in tax recovery charges. Because I thought I hadn't confirmed it, I made a reservation through a different source for a room at the same hotel. Because neither could be cancelled we ended up with two rooms to pay for. The room we didn't use then was supposedly used with someone from Madrid (this was a hotel in North Dakota) who also bought $10.00 from the hotel shop.

This company's only purpose is to scam people when they are looking to make a reservation at hotels. I recently was looking to make a reservation at a Holiday Inn Express and was going to book directly with IHG. When I searched for the website, this horrible website came up and it appeared I was in IHG. I made my reservation and when I checked out, I noticed that the total was more than $250 more than what I researched for my room. When I noticed this, within 5 minutes of booking, I cancelled. Come to find out that once you book with this horrible website, no matter what, they will charge you. THIS COMPANY'S SOLE PURPOSE IS TO OVER CHARGE UNSUSPECTING TRAVELERS AND TO SCAM YOU INTO THINKING YOU ARE BOOKING WITH THE HOTELS. PLEASE MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTELS, NEVER USE A THIRD-PARTY WEBSITE TO BOOK HOTEL OR TRAVEL RESERVATIONS. THIS WEBSITE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. I DO NOT WANT TO WANT TO EVEN GIVE THEM ONE STAR, THEY DESERVE TO BURN IN HELL AND DESERVE NOTHING MORE THAN ZERO STARS, BUT IN ORDER TO POST YOUR REVIEW YOU HAVE TO AT LEAST LEAVE ONE STAR, WHICH DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE.

guestreservation.com is a Scam. Note guestreservation.com is a booking.com company. I had the same experience as everyone else noting after the transaction they charge me a 50% fee. I immediately cancelled the reservation and lost my money for a one night stay at The Graduate in Minneapolis. Additionally Guestreservations.com DBA CCI*HOTEL RES charge me for 2 nights for a total charge of $512.00 instead of $150.00 for one night. I did get one of the charges removed but Wells Fargo VISA refused to remove the other one.

For all those folks out there that were Scammed... continue to put pressure on Guestreservations.com and booking.com and boycott the hotels that use them. Get on their social media sites (Facebook etc.) and let everyone know what they are doing. Also contact the FTC and state Attorney Generals office.

This is a scam. The offered price of 1700 usd turned out to be 2500 usd at checkpout, only visible after the point-of-no return.

This third party website masquerades as the website of the actual hotel you are trying to book. They then charge you significantly MORE than the hotel would charge you for the same booking. However this is hidden until after you have checked out and then added as "tax recovery fees and surcharges” (192 AUD in my case). Unbelievable that they are allowed to continue to operate. My hotel has now instructed them to refund my booking, as the hotel agreed to cancel the booking and not charge me, however guest reservations has ignored the email from the hotel directly to them, and still have not provided a refund 2 months later! Very distressing, beware of this site.

This company overcharged me by nearly $50 when I made a reservation at Celilo Inn in The Dalles, Oregon. If I had made the reservation directly to the Celilo Inn, I would have been charged $20 or so in taxes and fees. GR charged me over $60 for "taxes and fees." When I called to complain the choices I was given were to accept a 10% refund or to cancel and be charged $139 for the cancellation. So I accepted the 10% refund (which has not showed up yet-we'll see). When I got to Celilo, I talked to the person at the front desk about my experience. She acknowledged that there are reservation companies that run scams but there wasn't anything the Inn could do about it. I doubt that, but in the meantime, avoid this company at all costs. They are paying Google to list themselves at the top of a search page, betting that most people won't scroll further down to the motel's actual page.

Why is this scam company not under legal action by now? I was toggling back and forth from the Kimpton Paris website after booking and landed on a page that looked like I hadn’t completed booking- this is what they do!! Booked on accident and cancelled immediately, they cancelled my reservation and are not refunding me a dime. Is that not illegal?! Not only that, but they charge $500 in service fees and cannot tell you what service they are providing nor provide said service. Is this not illegal?!
