Just avoided being scammed by this company. Thank goodness I knew that there were absolutely rooms set aside for my grandmothers funeral and exactly how much they were supposed to cost. This site tried quoting me a much higher price saying all of the rooms had sold out. Then they tried to say that they were called getaroom.com. Horrible people. I really lucked out.

I used www.guestreservations.com to book a standard 2 queen hotel room for one night. The advertised price was $280. I was congratulated for getting their “jackpot price” on the site. It promoted me to enter my information and click a button at the bottom in order to proceed. At which point, they have you. There is no summary, no final checkout page, no explanation of your final price with tax or fees, nothing. Not until you receive confirmation that you’ve been charged $490.15 instead of the $280. I called in an attempt to dispute this, but was informed there was no cancellation or refund. They offered 10% back to my card which I doubt we will ever see considering it’s been over a week. I spoke to the hotel and they said the company had reported that they’d charged me $336.84. So, where did $490.15 come from because that is what they actually charged me. I’m amazed this company can still be in business as they continue to scam people, despite being reported so many times.

Made me think I was booking with the hotel. Stated a rate that was reasonable, once I hit submit the charge was alnost 50% higher than the rate on every other site for the same room. Predatory and misleading. Cancellation costs 65% of the price of the room. It’s a complete SCAM and should be shut down.

This place is an absolute scam. I don’t know how they are even allowed to exist as a business, they should be shutdown for sure. I was tired and making a late night hotel reservation, thought I was on the actual hotel’s page but it was a sponsored page by guest reservations. Once I realized my error I tried to cancel but they tried to charge me $200 to cancel, which was more than the actual hotel room! They gave themselves a $92 fee for booking the room. When I called customer service they just read a script and then the representative acted like she couldn’t hear me. Shady company. Stay far far away from them.
I genuinely hope they get shutdown sooner rather than later!

    BEWARE!!!!
I called a number which I was led to believe it was the hotel reservations department. I even asked the agent if this was the Beauport Hotel and was told yes. He stated it was the hotel's reservations department. I booked my reservation. I stated my CC was on file, where upon I was told the system had been upgraded and I needed to provide the information again. I did tell the agent I was a reward member of the hotel was having a 15% off room discount and he also asked if I had any other type discounts such as AAA AARP etc. I told him I did. He stated he would apply the discounts. Also, I received the email with the confirmation and it is non refundable, I called immediately and could not reach an agent just an auto attendant that sends you in circles or disconnects. I have sent 6 emails and made 8 phone calls and I cannot reach anyone,. The auto attendant tells you to call the hotel. The hotel cannot help you since this is a 3rd party, This is a deceptive business practice. I want my money back. The difference in pricing with this company is $400.+ I will have to contact my credit card.

Terrible business. They imitated being the actual hotel business because their name "guest reservations" is so plain in the top corner of the site, and it makes it look like its the hotel reservations. They bypassed my credit card security that popped up and took my money even though I didn't give approval. They hid the "additional fees" of $60 until after I had put in my credit card information. It was at the bottom of the page on my phone browser, and wasn't accessible until after details were inputted. Felt like a complete scam! They also don't tell you its non-refundable until you get the receipt. They also don't have good ways to follow up with them or file complaints.

BEWARE, SCAMMY SCAM SCAM. Thought I was booking with the actual hotel. Site had all the pics from the place (a hotel I stay at always on business). They charged me TWICE ($1,170.55 each time). The room price they advertised ($129) became $195 at checkout. AND THEN added a $388.55 "Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees". All of this only visible AFTER I'd made the purchase.

I called. They said it was non-refundable. ALL $2341.10 OF IT. So I'm on hold after speaking with a very nice woman who says she "talked to her boss" and now can cancel it. She gave me a cancelation code. Now I'm currently on hold while she lets me know when the pending charge will be removed from my card on their end. It's been 30 minutes. Not going to hold my breath, but will call my credit card company and cancel my card, if need be, so they can't get my money.

    A difficult to avoid scam.
They position their website so as to appear the official booking site of the hotel. Once you are using their service, you are unaware. I clicked on a hotel room for $169 per night. There is no visible summary of charges to see. I ended up being charged $333 per night, non-refundable.

this is definitely a scam website. I quickly made a reservation to Rochester Minnesota so I could be with my dad as he was dying. I thought I was buying two nights at a $250 a night room and they charge me $10,400. I’m sick to my stomach.
