      DO NOT USE SIXT!!!! We spent over $400.00 on a rental, our flight was delayed and they told us they'd remain open until their closing time. We were at the counter 10 minutes prior to closing and they were GONE, leaving us to book a rental with another company. They will NOT refund us for a car that we never used because they decided to close and go home early.

      I rented an X5 a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that the car was in a front and side collision so I took some pictures and mentioned it to the lady worked there. She dismissed me, and said to take photos, but the damage was noted in my rental agreement. Before I pulled out I checked the rental agreement to make sure it was there and it was noted. Off we went. When I returned the attendant was taking photos of the same side of the car where there was front and side damage. I received an email a few days later claiming that I damaged the rims and I had to pay $2200. Now I 'm no body shop mechanic, but looking back at my pics you could clearly see that damage from the side collision had extended all the way to the tires, trim and rims. I'd give this company no stars if I could. They just seem shady, and should really make it their policy to go over the car when clients pick it up, it just seems like you are already playing defense when you take possession of the car. And maybe they should start reading all the bad reviews. Never again.

      DO Not Use Sixt Rental Car! This is the worst rental car company. I rented a car for a 4 day period and prepaid up front. In the contract it did say I will be charged a cancellation fee and I needed to call the office to take care of this. My trip was 3 weeks away and when I went to cancel because my plans changing they charged me 3 days of the rental. Nowhere in plain site was it stated a three day minimum and when I called they had to direct me to some hidden page to see where that was stated. This company is a total bunch of scammers and I would never rent from them again.

      My experience with Sixt at the ********* Schiphole Airport was horrendously bad. It was by far the worst I have had during 53 years of traveling while vacationing in Europe. I was charged $3,156.02 for 2 weeks of using a 3 series *** from Sixt in **************************. The initial contract I signed on a Pad that had only a signature line. They then suggested I make a photo of the contract with my phone. Because my eyesight is not what it used to be, I am in my eighties, I asked the attendant to do it for me. When returning the car in *********, *******, they made a Photo there, too, showing the final. It showed several added options that drove ut the cost that almost doubled it. I noticed that when getting home to ******* and printing the copy on my computer. The original copy was already padded with strange charges and the final got worse..Never again will I even go near Sixt car rental.****************** Michigan

      I will not be renting from Sixt Car Rental again after a practice of being charged for alleged damages is revealed. I received an invoice on November 10th, alleging there were damages made to a vehicle I rented for a brief 3.5 hours on October 8th. The trip was from *** to *** airport. The trip was incident-free, but 30 days later I am being hit with unexpected charges. I had hesitation prior to booking this trip because of a similar incident where I was blamed for damages by ****. However, a walk-around inspection with a Sixt Car Rental agent was completed at drop off, showing the vehicle was returned incident free which resolved this issue. My hope was that it was a onetime mishap, especially given I was upgraded into this vehicle in question. I, apparently, hoped wrong and feel setup. As a result of the prior incident with Sixt Rent a Car, I am hyper-vigilant/paranoid to the point where I now document every rental with pictures and videos. Sixt is the only car rental company I have experienced being blamed for alleged damages. Since there was no agent to receive and inspect the vehicle at the *** drop-off location, I have evidence from the evening when I returned the vehicle to show I did not cause the damages Sixt is claiming. I refuse to be held liable and be demanded to pay for something I did not do. (I had to select at least one start in order to submit.)

      SCAM! I rented a vehicle and returned it in the same condition. In addition, they require a $300 deposit, which I didn't have a problem with. A few days later, I noticed my deposit was never returned. I looked at the return receipt, and it indicated a "5cm superficial scratch" was discovered by the back taillight. Therefore, I will receive a final estimate of total cost and damage! Almost a month later, and two emails in, I have not received a response. I tried disputing it, but CAN'T!!! SIXT doesn't have a live customer service to contact, everything is done via email.

      DO NOT USE SIXT!!!They will scam you of additional charges after you return the car and will not give customer support. You will be forced to dispute the charges with your credit card company.

      Two weeks ago we rent a car at ***. I paid everything in full through Expedia, including damage waiver. SIXT counter rep charged me second time for the damage waiver with higher amount without explaining explicitly. I talked to ******* when returning the car. He put the note on the computer and promised everything would be resolved. Nothing happened and my credit card was charged. I wrote an email to SIXT at ***, nothing happened. They just simply did not care. It is a company one cannot trust!

      I rented a vehicle for a girls trip back in June. Everything was going off without a hitch until a rock hit the windshield. Things happen. I paid the damage invoice and didnt think twice about it. Then I get a call that **** had sent me to collections for an unpaid damage claim. I called Sixt customer service and explained that had been paid and Im looking at the transaction from my Discover credit card. The woman just kept repeating I dont see where a payment was made. She just repeated that over and over. No attempt at another solution. I called my credit card company to handle it. Do not ever use this rental company. They make recurring fraudulent charges on damage claims and their customer service is garbage.
