      If I could leave a negative 0 star I would. I rented my vehicle at the **************, ********** and did a FULL walk through before and after vehicle drop off and received a bill for $526.25 for damages that does not even appear on the before and after photos and the before and after photo was show on the opposite side of the car. The before photo was on the driver side because the gas tank was shown and the after pic was on the passenger side. How you send a before and after photo of two different sides of the vehicle.And they even sent pictures that did not show any marking. The car was returned with dirt due to the rain but not damages. If this company is using their electronic photo system to take photo they need to make sure they reassess to ensure its not picking up markings of a dirty vehicle that is returned. But after I have read all the reviews it is very clear and disgusting that this company is doing this to so many people. DO NOT RENT FROM SIXT EVER!!!! I called to have them take this off and now I am waiting for them to send me a confirmation email that it was taken off.

      Horrible ***************** My plane to ****** was delayed five tines over 8 hours. SIXT knew about it, I called them. Finally, the weekend teip was cancelled completely. They had my car to rent to anyone else for 2 days. I only asked for credit toward future rental. They refused. ******* asked the for waiver to do that, they refused. TERRIBLE customer relations. Rip off, unjust enrichment, Ill never use them again.

      Double charged me and failed to refund. Took it up with bank and they did not back me, so had to switch bank also. NEVER USE THESE ********.

      I was very dissapointed with Sixt car rental company. They sent me a bill shortly after my rental, for a scratch down to the primer on the right door that was described as a T-bone on the repair papers. They had upgraded my car at the beginning of the rental with no extra charge which so happens to make their false claim more expensive. Sadly, I did not take the pictures necessary and I should have asked someone to walk the car with me to do the look over. I think they should still do a look over with you but it's difficult even finding help when the car is returned. My husband and I are exceptionally detailed and trustworthy. If we had damaged the car we would have spoken up. I do not believe the claim made against us is true. I will never rent from sixt again. I will also research which rental car company is the most trustworthy.

      At ****, our check-in agents meticulously inspect all vehicles upon their return. Any dents or scratches, regardless of size or depth, are carefully documented. Our damage team then assesses whether the damage is chargeable or non-chargeable.

      All recorded damages are detailed on subsequent rental agreements for each vehicle. During the scheduled pickup, customers have the chance to review these listed damages on their rental agreement. They can also report any existing damages that might have been overlooked or not reported before taking the vehicle. This process repeats upon the vehicle's return.

      The email you received from our ***************** isn't an accusation of damages to the vehicle. Rather, it's a query about damages discovered that weren't listed before your rental. We kindly request that you respond to their email with your feedback via *************************************.

      They lied to me. When picking up the vehicle there was a line and I had my wallet packed away in my bag. I said it would take me a few minutes to fish it out and ******** stated that I could use a card for the time being and then actually pay with a different card when returning the vehicle. I go to return the vehicle and suddenly the option isnt available. Al was very rude about it and stated that because their system was new they didnt have the option. I tried to call customer service but they stated that they cant do any financial transactions and only the branch could.

      Rented a *** X7 family car for 7 of our family guest at *************** in March 2025. Leaving the airport the odor of marijuana started to fill the car. The second day we drove to ********** with windows down due to the horrible smell. Once we arrived at the beach we did a thorough search of the car and found used marijuana joints under the drivers seat. Upon our return to ******* that evening we called Sixt to request a new vehicle and when they asked for a reason it did not Suprise them and stated it happens a lot. After a week of using the car and returning it they issued us a statement that they rim of the car was damaged and provided a picture with no damage but stated the rim edge was damaged (curb rash). I wrote them a response that at no time did we drive the car in any manner to cause wheel damage. They did not provide any estimates or authorize repairs on the **** Fast forward to today, two months later, they issued us a Fleet Response letter for repairs cost we have to pay and provided a picture of the rim with a circle that shows no damage or scratches. This company is illegally exploiting money from its customers and I intend to have Sixt black listed from the company I work for.

      False Damage claim scam. Rented a ***** cx5. Every body panel on vehicle had scratches and chips. After returning vehicle I received and email for damge claim of $808 for a 5cm to 10 ** **** scratch on lower front bumper cover. Couldnt do a proper inspection of vehicle due to being parked on dark parking garage. Never would have found it among all the other scratches on vehicle

      ****! ****! ****! I rented a vehicle from the **** Rental location in the Galleria area of *******, ** on Mat 3, 2025. I filed out the pre-paperwork online to decline all additional add-ons. Once in the office for pick-up, the attendant attempted to sell me the add-ons I had already declined, utilizing every scare tactic on the books. I instructed the attendant that I did not want any additional services. I videoed the vehicle before and after, but magically they are attempting to attach damage to the vehicle's rear window after turn in. No one from the company reviewed the vehicle prior to or after rental because they had one employee attending to multiple customers. Make sure you take a video of your vehicle.

      I rented a car from ******************** in April of 2025. Pick up and drop off went smoothly. Three weeks after we returned the car we got an email that said damage was done to the vehicle during our rental. They sent before and after pictures illustrating the damage. There was only one before picture, and it was a dimly lit and you couldnt see damage even if it was there because the picture was so dark. There were several after photos that were well lit and showed a 5 centimeter scratch in the very corner of the photo. Upon closer look, both the before and after photos were time stamped with the date of March 7, 2025, which was a month before we rented the car. Also we returned the car to a different location than was described on the photo timestamp. The company was fraudulently trying to get money out of us. Had we not taken a close look we would have paid $757 for a 5 centimeter scrape that we didnt cause. Beware of this company.

      Sixt has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I was blacklisted over a $4 toll that I was never informed about and have never received proof of. I’ve called customer service multiple times over the past year, and every time they promise someone will email me — but no one ever does. You can’t reach the right department, and the reps on the phone can’t give you a direct email or contact. You're stuck in a loop with people who can’t help you and won’t escalate your issue. To make things worse, I once had a confirmed reservation with them, but when I arrived at the rental location, they told me I couldn’t rent — with no explanation. Total waste of time. If you value clear communication and basic customer support, avoid Sixt at all costs.
