I will never go to big box dental offices again. If I could give no stars I would. Baystate dental ******** is the absolute worst dental office I have ever been to. Not only do they do a chop shop job on your teeth, but they do not care about you as a patient. Don't expect to have them adhere to your appointment, they will change your appointment in less than 24 hours without notifying you or asking you. And then if you can't make it, they'll try to schedule you a year out. They can't even see you every 6 months to begin with. They keep claiming a backlog of patients. I had three forms of proof; email, text message and appointment card that my appointment was at 9am. Yet they still claim my appointment was at 7:30am and that it wasn't changed. When I said I'll try to make it, it's less than 24 hours and I work 3rd shift until 8am, I was told they will cancel. I had to explain I had to get to work in order to ask my boss if I could leave early. Horrible customer service!! Horrible attitudes!! Absolutely disgusting that they treat their patients in the manner they do. Do yourself a favor and go to a private practice dentist who will actually care about you, can schedule you every 6 months, and who you'll see more than once. I have never seen the same dentist more than once at Baystate and they spend absolutely no time with you because they'll never see you again!!Went in today at the changed time and was given nothing but attitude. The receptionist is trashy, threw my paper at me and immediately told me she called me yesterday. I offered to show my call history. People are lazy, she didn't call. The office manager Rachel was a piece of work and manipulated the whole situation. Even after showing her my call log she said she trusts her receptionist and that I am the problem. She called me rude & said I was rude on the phone yesterday when I called to confirm the change, I wasn't. They refused me treatment I requested and are refusing to give me my entire records.

Complaint Regarding Emergency Dental Treatment at Family Dental Group in Fishkill, ** On Monday, April 15, at 9 am, I visited Family Dental Group in Fishkill seeking emergency dental treatment for a swollen gum around my upper rightmost molar. The previous night, I had been unable to sleep due to severe mouth pain. I was also scheduled to leave for vacation in ***** and ******** on Friday, April 19.Upon arrival, the receptionist informed me that the doctor did not want to be disturbed but would be available at 2:30 pm. At that time, Dr. ***** instructed his assistant to take an **ray. Unfortunately, after four attempts, the **ray was successfully taken. Dr. ***** then informed me, without examining the **ray, that he would not treat me and that I should see **********************, who was not on duty that day.As an 85-year-old patient, I found Dr. ****** behavior unprofessional. He refused emergency treatment without reviewing my **rays. He promised to call in an antibiotic prescription, which he never did. Frustrated, I spent another sleepless night and sought care elsewhere the next day. The new dentist understood my situation, performed deep cleaning below the gum, drained the infection, and prescribed antibiotics and a medical dental rinse.I was surprised by the lack of professionalism at Family Dental Group, especially considering I had been a client there for over 12 years!

My daughter is undergoing dental treatment and I have automatic monthly payments, November and December they took money from my account without authorization and they told me that I did not have money by the time they took the payment and charged me a fee, when I go to my bank the manager He tells me that it is not true that there was money when making the payment and that it is their fault and not my part because the bank never charged me for supposedly declain, and I brought him the evidence from the bank and they do not want to return my money due to error. from them

Hate to even give the dentist a single star, as the experience with them has been HORRIBLE. The hygienist have been great, the dentist is ok, but the office staff have been a nightmare to deal with. We were billed for a fluoride treatment that was never received, and we have been going back and forth with them for a rebate of the over $50 fee for over a month now. The billing manager n even called us liars, hygienist confirmed no treatment and screamed at us over the phone. Not sure what this dentist scam is, maybe they think no one will notice, or maybe she doesn't know her front office staff treats people that bad.. We are officially finding a new dentist and reporting them to our insurance company for fraud.

Extremely dissatisfied with how I have been treated at this dental office. Came in as a new patient and had the exam . They told me they would get back to me about further treatment. Three weeks went by and finally I got a call from shamblott. They left me a voicemail saying that I had an outstanding bill but nothing about helping me with my teeth!! That is so extremely rude and frustrating. Extremely unprofessional and bad business.

We moved to *********, ** recently from Montgomery County, MD and I looked for a new dentist for my children. I spoke with the office at Dental ************** in *********, confirmed they accepted my children's dental insurance and made appointments. After the first cleaning, they handed me a bill which included services I did not ask for; namely expensive panoramic x-rays. I was blindsided. I paid the bill and went home and called their insurance so I could understand the charges. There should have been no charges. They decided to charge me before submitting to their dental insurance. Unfortunately, my son can only get a panoramic once every three years so I know I'm going to get charged for a very expensive and unneeded x-ray. The worst part is that I tried to call and speak to a manager and have a calm, informed discussion with her. She was immediately defensive and instead of hearing me just insisted I should have known what services my son was going to be receiving despite not being told and it not being on their website. Very unprofessional. She insisted that everyone just knows what happens at first appointments. So my mistake was not having intuitive powers. If you want to go to this practice make sure you ask the questions because they do not offer up accurate information. Also, it is a big group and there are products and pamphlets everywhere. Ever go to a place and the only thing they seem interested in is upselling you? That's the vibe I got.

Doesn't even deserve a star! Huge disappointment. I only went to them because I had an emergency and it was close to the holidays. I am skeptical that the work they did was even necessary. It didn't even come out well. Be careful of the Front Desk! Don't sign anything! Like I mentioned, I had an emergency and for any work to get started, it required my signature right then and there so I was forced to sign. I was informed that my insurance paid hardly anything for the work needed. I then found out 3 days later from the insurance company that it wasn't true and that they covered 3/4 of the work. Went back and forth with this for months and the dental office refused to give me back the portion I had paid that was covered by the insurance. They lied to me telling me they had proof insurance didn't cover it and then refused my calls. Credit card company couldn't help me with charge back so I wrote a grievance through my insurance who eventually gave back to me the money I was overcharged. Find another dentist!

Run, don't walk AWAY from this business. From the front desk, the surgery scheduler, the swearing hygienist, to ***** Shamblott, service is poor and dentistry is substandard. ***** Shamblott loves to hand you his booklet about pain-free dentistry but then makes frequent, costly and dangerous mistakes. He breaks off tools while trying to do a root canal (the tool is lodged in the root) necessitating two trips to and endodontist, performs surgery in his office, under general anesthesia, attempts to draw blood multiple times (5 times), without success, without permission, fails to place an implant where necessary, stating "you don't need it there", thus removing the ability for any chewing on one side of the mouth. This results in jaw pain and irregular wearing of teeth on opposite side of mouth. He tried to force fit implants into areas only to discover that he had the wrong person's teeth! He misrepresents cost of implants stating up front stated cost includes "everything " but to then require payment of add on charges before completing procedures. His surgery scheduler is rude, dismissive and poorly educated. Their paperwork states one must have a preoperative physical within 30 days of procedures and won't schedule you until you provide proof of completion of this but then didn't schedule for 90 days. Surgery scheduler said "it doesn't matter ". Shamblott works just enough to travel internationally many weeks of the year. The constant ask for money funds this. Don't make him angry because he then purposely will hurt you and laugh with his assistant about it in front of you. And he never ever apologizes. It is a horror show from beginning to end.
