We signed into an agreement with Lennar June 22,2021. Our home was to be complete in December 2021. There were many issues with our home that were eventually resolved. However, when it came to basic work, they moved our home to the back of the line. Our cabinets were delivered to our garage, lot number and address were on the boxes to prove they were ours. Lennar chose to take them and give them to another home that was started 2 months after ours. Not only did this delay our closing by months it costs us a lot of money. When we finally had our closing date, which was 6 months after the promised date, we did our walk through. This allowed us to make sure there weren't any issues and if there were, Lennar would fix them. It has been 3 1/2 months and we are being ignored regarding the HUGE stain on the guest bathroom granite counter.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: If accept the response, is the matter closed? We want our home finished and we want to be reimbursed for all the unnecessary costs we incurred. We've been told time and time again that "it will be looked into", we got nothing but the silent treatment. ***************************, *****, and ********************* all received emails and texts, and nothing has been done. If I'm not mistaken, ********************* in VP in charge of construction in Southwest *******; seems like corporate ignored ** too.

Complaint: 17761267
I am rejecting this response because: First off, that should have been handled in May during our walk-thru. Granite people said it was stained and needed to replaced. We got pushed aside to expedite other homes. We want reimbursement for 3 months of unnecessary storage and airfare due to the fact we had to fly back to our home state. We were supposed to drive back for the summer. However our home, which was supposed to be finished December 2021 wasn't complete until May 27th. All because Lennar took our cabinets out of our garage to give to another home, that started 2 months after ours. And because they built our window block frame incorrectly; not once, but twice.
3 months storage: $540
Airfare: $350
Toatl: $890

Complaint: 17761267
I am rejecting this response because: I've asked for reimbursement for all the mistakes Lennar made. Our home sat here for 3 months due to a major mistake by Lennar. Then, once our home was finally underway again, Lennar decided to take our cabinets, from our garage and give it to another home. We waited another 6 weeks before someone else's cabinets were delivered to us. All the money we spent due to Lennar's mistakes should be reimbursed. That is what a reputable company should do! We should not have to pay money out of our pockets for all your mistakes. And then, not to be acknowledged regarding this is just another insult to us, your customer. The ones that not only spent their hard earned money on you but trusted you would do a good job within a reasonable amount of time.
Sincerely,

I put $3000.00 down on the purchase of a new condo. This took place in May of 2022, with the rise in interest rates my gift giver decided not to give it to me. I called ********************************* and asked for the return of my deposit. The condo won't be finished until November 2022. At first, she said yes, then 3 weeks later I received a call from stating that she wants to keep the deposit. (August 22, 2022) When the call was placed. I can't even get my money returned for flooring or cabinets. I have emailed the seller, agent, and *************************** the production manager. Please help, no buyer's remorse because the place has not been built as of yet.Business Response

I recently purchased a new construction by Lennar. Lennar has one-year warranty on new homes. Since I closed in May, I have had great difficulty to have Lennar performing warranty services. It takes months and numerous calls, no-show appointments for anything to be done. Till now, I still have a number of open tickets with them which have sit around for months. In my opinion, Lennar has breached its warranty contract with me, ignoring my repeated requests for corrective actions. I request BBB to step in to hold Lennar accountable. Thanks,Business Response

I bought my brand-new house in November 2019. In the summer of 2020 when the weather got hotter our floor started making a crackling/popping sound all over the place. I put in a service request with Lennar. Lennar sent inspector to check the humidity level of the house. Humidity level were within the acceptable range. More inspectors came to look at the issue. They all acknowledged the issue and concluded it was due to side moldings being too close to the floor. They sent people who raise the molding. Issue temporarily subsided. Next summer when the weather got hot again issue came back, I reached out to Lennar but nobody responded, all summer. This summer the issue has gotten even worse to the point where the floor is literally moving when walked on in addition to making loud crackling/popping noises. I have tried contacting Lennar again, but they are just not responding. I have talked to multiple experts regarding this issue and even researched on my own. They all point to one cause that is it is due to faulty installation, specifically floor not being levelled prior to installation.Business Response

Want to share we had such a bad experience with Lennar team. We booked house in Nov 2021 with closing around July/August 2022 at 418k. We decided to do mortgage, home insurance etc. as we trusted they would provide best service and buyer experience. I feel bad to myself and proved I was so incorrect. In order to meet their deadline to complete project, they asked if they could change materials which I agreed. I did a huge mistake I should have backed out and got my $6k ******* deposit back. Due diligence failure - Lennar had 180 days lock period, and they did not inform me about it or reached out pro-actively. In the 7 months post signing purchase agreement, they reached out for the documents 4 times, which I provided in less than few hours all the time; but they have not told me about this one document and as a result I lost a good rate as primary and they forced me to change to secondary/rental. The requested document would take 3 months and Lennar is not allowing me to move closing date or asking me transfer to a new home which is 52k higher (470k). The rates are so exorbitant. I am not the loan officer, and buyer trusts loan officer who is working for our best interest here it clearly showed this person was least bothered. False promises - Lennar team asked to get competing loan estimate which I did. However, they are not willing to match where in they clearly put in email they will match or beat and NO incentives will be used towards rate buy down. From all the calls and conversations, it is very clear they are really waiting for me to drop off so they can sell at 52k higher. This was not an expected attitude from such a large corporation; and Lennar lost all our trust and will never buy a home with Lennar. On inquiry, there were few other homeowners had to back out as Lennar team did not their due diligence and end up jacking up rates so high. Seems to us this was done on purpose; so buyers would walk out so they get to keep $6k and also sell that housBusiness Response

*******, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Will you please confirm if the homesite you are referring to is 9346 ***********************************************************? I am rejecting this response because I was forced to cancel the contract due their failed due diligence on the loan side; forced me to do loan at way higher rate costing me $380/month extra i.e. $4,500/yr extra in interests. So I had no choice than cancel. The sales clearly told if you walk away we shall sell the house for $470k and they sold last one at $450k. So they want me to walk out where I had purchase agreement at $418k; so they are making money.
Sincerely,

I signed a Contract with Lennar Builders for **************************************************************************************** on March 1, 2022. Before I signed the contract, ***** and Lennar represented to me that the home will be completed by 10/31/22. I know there was a supply chain issues throughout the country and I asked ***** (the sales rep) that with all the supply chain issues, is Lennar having the same issues as other builders. ***** said that Lennar is the biggest and one of the best builders and they already have the material in a warehouse and that permits have already been approved and the home will start in 45 days. Based upon ***** and Lennar's representation, I put my home on the market and to sell my home. I called ***** on May 2nd (before I closed on my existing home) to confirm that home is still plan on being ready by 10/31/22. He said yes it will be ready by 10/31/22 and so I closed on my home and have a 6 month rental (to go thru November). It is now middle of August and ***** (and ****) have not responded to or spoken to someone who can give us an estimated date when our home will start to be built and an estimated completion date (I called the Volusia county permit department and no permits were ever issued for lot 66 as of the date of this complaint). Twelve other homes who signed contracts months after us already have their homes being built I am a Veteran and I have a disabled spouse and being treated like this is un-acceptable. I feel since I am using the VA benefit, I also feel like I am being discriminated against. If the sale rep ***** has a real estate license, it should be revoked due to false and misleading statements. All we want to know is when will our house be started? When will our house be done! We have a contract but being treated like this and being discriminated is not acceptable.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because it is a non response since nothing has happened. No one has responded to me directly on specific questions about this and the sales agents never returns calls (I called on 8/17 to ****). I have been very specific with **** (he is the manager) and ***** (sales agent at *******). Once again, I feel they are being dismissive as when I do get a response (via text), they say they will find out ASAP and only response by **** who is *****'s boss did not return my call but sent a text at the end of the day that appeared to be dismissive. I am a Veteran and my wife is disabled and I guess we do not fit those financial checkboxes of Lennar.

Closed on home 8.4.2022 in ******, ** at ***************. Ge Profile refrigerator was missing. After numerous calls they delivered and installed the wrong model and while doing so damaged the kitchen tile. Weve inquired multiple times about both issues being corrected and have received nothing but a run around. Secondly, weve been in the home for two weeks without mail. Lennar staff said they have turned over mailbox keys to the post office but the post office says not only have they not done so, the community mailbox which is the responsibility of Lennar doesnt have its locks installed. Weve been to the post office three times on this issue. The sales rep from Lennar said she would visit the post office but subsequently she sent us an email depicting the key drop off in April. This may be the case but Lennar is doing nothing to help its buyers receive their mail and packages. We simply want what we paid Lennar for, nothing else.Business Response
