Since signing up for their trial I have received dozens of scammer emails. They were quick to sell my info. Didn't even take 24 hours before the scams and sexual solicitation email started hitting my inbox.

They took $29.16 from my ****** account, without my authorization! Apparently, this is their M.O.!
I would really like to receive a report of how often this is done? From the reviews, it looks like a LOT!!! This is just wrong!!!! And, they refuse to refund the money when told this is wrong! Why hasn't this company been shut down? They did not even seem to care when I told them that the one report that I pulled was very, very incomplete. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was put on hold and no one came back. Again, I would like to see the company's records of how much they make by ripping people off?

I hadn’t even heard of this company until my bank said I had been charged $1 and was pending. I still have not even been to their site. I disputed the charge with my bank and they will be sending me a new card. What’s crazy is I never lost (or had it stolen) my card! I have no clue how these apparent scam artists got my card number but this is clearly a fraudulent “business”!

Deceptive when it comes to charges. $29.19 + 4.99 + 6.99??? Don't be sucked in.

Checkpeople, LLC should be removed from the Internet for false advertising. They advertise check backgrounds for $4.99 for an introductory period and whether you cancel or not they begin to charge the credit card you provide the sum of $29.99 per month without your permission. I have disputed the charges with my credit card several times, but Checkpeople continue to bill my card despite being notified of the cancellation and a formal dispute from my visa account. More importantly, the website itself is worthless. It is highly unlikely you will find the person you are looking for on Checkpeople, but in the rare case that occurs the information is outdated or there’s no useful information about the individual. In a nutshell, Checkpeople is a scam website that should be avoided at all costs!!!

They robbed my bank account 3 times in one week.I had to close my account because they keep taking money.these people sit back and rob the poor. They need to be shut down immediately I don’t have money to give them like that.I’m caring for a sick grandchild with a brain tumor and I need my money for co- pay on his medication.

I was charged for $29.16 after I cancelled the account. Before canceling I paid $7.99 to review a supposedly guess who just got arrested, on a person I was enquiring about, turned out this was false, there was no recorded. After I cancelled the fake account they kept sending me the same notice. I was finally able to cancel the app and today I noted in my checking a charge for $29.16.
This is a dangerous company to deal with. Be careful folks. Criminals are not being sought out so they are getting away with stealing. I want my money back, but I don't think I will get.

Banned for life despite not breaking any rules, terms of service, etc. Customer service told me that had no way to tell what I might have done wrong and when asked how they could know I'd done anything wrong at all, they ignored me.

I did not authorize a monthly payment of 29.16. A total of $41.14 was withdrawn from my personal out of my PayPal Account, before the trial was even up. That is the meaning of a trial for the $4.99 + $6.99 that they are telling that I have to pay - if there is a trial and you cancel because this service did not help out at all. The address I was searching for did not even show up. This is a Scam! I have called customer service 5 times now. I have never spoken to such rude representatives in my life! All of them except one, only 1, Erica was even pleasant. They were SO rude and reading off a script that they have been told to memorize. On that same 3rd day, they said they canceled my CheckPeople but would not remove the charge for the $29.16. Customer service was the WORST EVER CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT I HAVE EVER TALKED TO IN MY LIFE! I am disabled, and 69 years old so I have talked to plenty of customer service reps in my life, and this time every single one of these girls seemed so unhappy & angry too! With all these negative reviews, how do they stay in business??? One star and bad/negative comments about this service not having what you came there for, to begin with, I’m not satisfied with this at all considering I’m elderly, retired, and cannot afford any transactions I did not authorize. I GUESS I HAVE TO FILE A DISPUTE the CHARGES! Do not bother with CHECKPEOPLE, THEY ARE SCAMMERS FOR SURE. The reason I even signed up for the trial is bc I was scammed out of $4k and needed to find the address & phone number of this scammer. So, why would I pay them anything really?
