  whelp - another one here that was instantly PERMANENTLY BANNED FOR LIFE upon the very first attempt to log in, just a few seconds after paying for the three day trial. Did not even see a single result at all, no explanation of why that banned message appeared and locked me out. I did not even get a chance to use the service to violate the "do's and don'ts" . This is either scam or complete idiocy. I called to find out why, and they don't have reasons, it just said banned. I said just cancel it then. We will see if I get hit with other charges in the future or how long it takes to refund the 5 bucks. Ridiculous that it could ban someone when they have never used it!
  Waste of time. How they have been around for 9 years is inexplicable.

  I ordered the $4.95 background check..so far been charged $29.16 four times..Theifs! SCAMMERS!!!

  I signed up for the trial and I had no problem paying the $29.16 month (the hidden fee).
  I used the site for 5 months with no problem. I actually enjoyed the site but of course not the surprise monthly fee.
  Last night I tried to sign in and got this weird looking picture stating that “YOU ARE BANNED FOR LIFE FOR VIOLATING THE TERMS!!!”
  When I emailed them (because it was outside of the business hours). I asked why I received that message.
  This is their response:
  Unfortunately, we are unable to identify the specific reason that your account was banned as there are many factors involved in the banning process.
  I’m so confused but they are not the only circus in town!!

  Terrible company signed up for a 3 day trial and went in to obtain info and they said I didnt follow the rules. I didnt do anything. Dont sign up with them. If I could give zero stars I would.

  I signed up for a free trial and made sure to cancel on the website.But my credit card was charged the almost $30.00 monthly fee anyway.I called customer service and was rudely yelled at by the woman on the other line.She then told me you had to call a number to cancel as well,which was not on the website.I was only refunded one month when I should have been refunded for two I was yelled at again and told that was how it was.

  They scam you by implying you have the option of paying $4.99 to view the report and not print it. Then start charging you $29 per month without authorization.
  When you call to request a refund, they offer you a $9.99 per month subscription.

  I cancelled in less than 24 hours after starting a trial and the email said I’d still get charged for one month ( $29.16), plus the trial fee of $4.99 was taken out plus another $6.99 taken out the same day I started the trial!

  I signed up for the $4.99 for a “free trial” then charged another $6.99 to view more from my search. I notified them that I never signed up for the $6.99 to view a PDF of the information. They sent me a screenshot back that showed that box checked. I never checked that box, so they must have it as a default on the screen and I didn't notice. The guy I spoke with said he would offer me a $9.99 lifetime fee per month of unlimited searches. I said OK, as I was using this website for genealogy purposes to find when a relative might have been born/died/last place they lived. Well last night I was doing more searches when all of a sudden a screen came up that said "YOU ARE BANNED FOR LIFE FOR VIOLATING THE TERMS." What??? I immediately emailed their support team and was told they don't know why I was banned nor did the person know who banned me. I called them today and was told the same thing...no one knows why I was banned. I read the terms & conditions of the "do's & don'ts" and i definitely did not do anything against the terms. How can a company ban you FOR LIFE with no explanation and no one there knows why?

  I signed up for Checkpeople after starting a search which populated results with a full report available under their 3 day money back guarantee if I would pay $4.99 + $6.99 if I wanted a PDF of whatever document was available from my/their research. I registered and paid the charge which required that I be sent a temporary password to log onto the site. I followed the directions and upon logging in was notified that I had violated their "Do's and Dont's" policy and was PERMANENTLY BANNED from their site.
  I called customer service and was told that they couldn't help me and that I would need to write their customer support team via email to protest the decision. I received a reply stating that they couldn't tell me why the ban was placed on my account, but that I was forevermore banned from using their service. They did refund me the $4.99, however, not explaining the reasons behind the decision (an algorithm, A.I. involvement, etc.) is patently unfair and calls into question the validity of their service. All I can say is BEWARE of these people.

  I would give them a negative. I used their service because I needed unlimited reports for a large class reunion. I was just about to order PDFs of my large search results and I received a banned notice. I. Called but was advised to email support. The only answer was that basically they did not know. NOTHING in Do's and Dont's states you can't search for a large number of classmates. I want an apology and my reports. The refund does not help me.
