July 2023- Asheville NC store- BUYERS BEWARE OF ANYTHING THEY PROMISE YOU AND REFUSE TO PUT IN WRITING. Even though you have to sign pages of "Conditions in tiny print" to protect their interests they do not give the customer the same courtesy or protection. After placing a large order and not hearing back from my salesman regarding an issue for 3 days I called and asked for the manager. The man i spoke with told me he was the manager, but he was NOT. After he went on to tell me that they could not honor the things the salesman told me he was forced to admit he was NOT the manager but assistant manager. He said he would have to speak with the real manager when he could not get rid of me that easily,. He called me back & told me the manager had agreed to the things the salesman had told me & all was good until he said they refused to put any of it in writing. After encountering the lies I had just gone through with this store I was not about to trust this without some kind of written confirmation. I called the customer care division regarding this. While they are very polite and agreeable, they will not really do anything to help you. The agent did call the store & told the manager to call me, which she did. She did not ask me anything of what had happened only stated right off the bat she was cancelling the order at no charge and I could get this elsewhere. I was agreeable to this as I no longer trusted these people and did not appreciate the way they treated me. I asked her to please email me this confirmation in writing as they tell you on forms you sign after 2 days you can't cancel an order without paying a 20% fee even if you don't have the furniture. She did not send me that written confirmation & refused to do so after. The Office Mgr told me to have a nice day & hung up on me when I called about not receiving it. I have reported this to every agency as advised by FTC & hope you do too as we should not be treated this way by these companies.Rooms To Go

As our office is concerned by the allegations expressed in said review, we will be reviewing a copy with the area regional manager to further investigate the allegations and address any issues should it be deemed necessary. Unfortunately, any information acquired is privileged and confidential and would not be released to the public but will be used to ensure a similar situation does not transpire in the future.
With respect to their situation,we have been made aware the order was canceled for a full refund of monies paid at the point of sale.

Very poor customer service. I bought a bed with the warranty, they gave me the wrong bed. When I went to the store to correct it the salesperson exchanged it and told me I was lucky because the bed was on sale and she gave me the difference. Because it was the same order number I thought I still had the warranty. Soon after the side rails broke and I reported it to warranty only to find out the salesperson canceled the warranty and that was the reason for the difference in price. I explained to customer service that I did not cancel the warranty and was told that it was my word against the salesperson. I was told to go to Home Depot and buy the wood to fix it. I contacted customer care who told me there was nothing they could do. She advised me to purchase the patrs separately out of my pockets. Because the bed was on the floor, I ordered and paid for the parts. They took a long time to cash my check and the parts were taking so long to come, I paid someone to fix the bed. When the parts finally were delivered I forgot about them, and put them away. I called customer service and asked how can I return the parts and get a refund. The delivered box was never opened. I was told I cannot get a refund. I am requesting a refund of $66.00. I would like this resolved.Rooms To Go

Please express our apologies to our customer for any inconvenience experienced.
We have reviewed their account in its entirety. Our records reflect an order correction was made with the store and the customer signed for the new product.A copy of the invoice was provided to the consumer. Unfortunately, the monies paid for the initial extended service plan was refunded back to the customer. Had the customer requested it on the new product, it would have been added at that time. At this time, the 1-year warranty Rooms To Go offers expired as of 3.17.23.
Records reflect the customer did not report any issues until *******. For this reason, the only option available to the customer was to pay for the part needing replacement. The customer opted for this option. Once the check was received and verified, a part order with the manufacturer was placed. Parts may take up to ****** days to fill. We show no record of any communication requesting the cancelation of the part order prior to receiving it. Our company fulfilled the order and shipped it to the customer.Once shipped and received, it is the customers. We would not be able take it back for a refund.

Wish I would have stopped here first. Scheduled a delivery 6 weeks out (I own a small business and it takes me weeks to get everyone scheduled to replace me) and my delivery was scheduled for today ****. Stayed home all day, at 4 I call to find out where my delivery was. Someone on their end canceled and rescheduled for tomorrow. What????? Nobody called me and nobody asked about rescheduling. After taking a full day off today, sitting and waiting now they want me to do the same tomorrow. I called several customer service reps (which there was zero customer service help) and nobody could tell le why? Just, because. Horrible business practice, horrible customer service l, horrible help. ****** learned RTG ****** learned. I purchased a Tempur-Pedic foam mattress and adjustable frame on February 11, 2023. The mattress is extremely hard, hot, has a lump in the bed, and difficult to sleep on, which is not how it felt in the store or not what the salesman and manager shared with me upon purchasing. I'm a side sleeper and this mattress causes great pains in my hip and side. The adjustable frame is not the height I requested. I requested a 9-inch frame and received a 6-inch frame. Both items were delivered and set-up on February 16, 2023. I immediately noticed the imperfections and advised the delivery personnel to take them back. They refused and advised me to go to the store and speak with the Manager. On February 17, 2023, I returned to the store after sleeping on it, which confirmed my thoughts regarding the excessive firmness. I spoke with the Salesman and Manager requesting a return of both items. The Manager became irate and refused to accept any items. It was at that time in which he said, the store has a "No return policy" and they require customers to keep products for 30-days, which is not what he advised during sale. He initially advised me that I would have 10-days to return items if dissatisfied. After constantly complaining of the mattress causing heat to my body, a mattress cover was delivered with an additional cost of $249.99, which I never requested. I have called the Corporate office seeking assistance with hopes of getting a resolution. Disappointedly, I spoke with different representatives whom were very unprofessional and told me, "We have a no return policy and it isn't their problem now that it is Synchrony Banks issue because they have been paid!" I was advised to go to another Rooms to Go to exchange items, but the other store refuses to get involved and found out that they have a different return policy. I filed a dispute with Synchrony Bank on March 28, 2023, and haven't received a response. So, I've submitted another dispute and waiting.Rooms To Go

In regards to their mattress protector, our records reflect the customer purchased and signed for this piece at the point of sale 2.11.23. We show they reported on 2.17.23 that they did not receive it at time of delivery;therefore, it was ordered for them and delivered via ****
Rooms To Go offers a 1-year warranty against manufacturers defects.The manufacturer offers a longer limited warranty we will honor. At present, we are honoring a sleep trial on the mattresses we sell. Customers are required to try out the piece for that length of time before an exchange or reselect option is considered. Per the terms of the contract, a return/cancelation must be requested w/in 48hours from date of purchase.
Furthermore, we do not offer multiple size leg options for beds/bases. It comes with the standard size 6. The manufacturer may offer alternate size legs for purchase but that would be directly with the vendor.
With respect to our customers situation, they were offered a reselection to different bedding prior to 30-day sleep trial in order to satisfy their complaint. It is for equal value paid at the point of sale. If greater,the consumer is responsible for the difference in price plus reselection fee as stated on the terms of sale as the issues are preference related. This information was already provided to the customer. The current mattress and base would be picked up when the new is delivered. This offer was for 30 days. We will extend it until 8.31.23.

I wish I can give less than 1. Never use them. I bought a dresser along with other pieces of furniture. The finish in the dresser was defective and the finish went **************** after having the dresser for a few months. No one would help me. They said it was not a manufacturer's defect which of course it was. I did not hack it or pour acid on it. Then they said it was an in-house problem. Well, of course it is, the furniture is in my bedroom, not outside in the driveway. I even had the extended warranty and they said the store would have to help because it was under a year. No one did anything except lie to me. They said it would be covered and went back on their word twice. Even the guy they sent to my house to take pictures thought it was ridiculous and said this would definitely be covered. I will never step into their store again and I will put it all over social media. I am not in the habit of giving bad reviews, but I am beyond mad. DO NOT USE ROOMS TO GO. Rooms To Go offers a 1-year warranty for manufacturers defects as stated on the terms located on their purchase receipt. Our customer purchased the extended service plan powered by ********. Their guidelines are clearly outlined under the website referenced on said invoice.
With respect to their situation, we have reviewed their account, technicians findings on 2 different services and pictures taken at time of service in its entirety. Since the receipt of the furniture on 8.31.22,we have no record of any verbal or written communication regarding any issues until 6.05.23. ******** approved service as accidental damage is under their purview.The radio placed on their bedroom furniture is what caused the damage to the piece. Unfortunately, it has been deemed not covered. Our office agrees with this decision.
Although we sympathize with their concerns, please understand we are abiding by the guidelines within the contract. For this reason,we regret no course of action would be considered.

I purchased a $2400 white leather dual recliner sofa from Rooms to Go with the 3 year extended warranty. Within the 1st year there were fading lines in the seats of both seats on the recliners. We filed a claim and a technician came out to inspect the sofa. He right away determined that this was a manufactured defect. I received a call from rooms to go the following week and they explained they were not covering the product because I was responsible for the stain and the manufacturer doesn't cover it. Then why sell me a sofa with a warranty that's useless. As a combat Veteran, I will never purchase anything ever from this company. If they treat me like this I can only imagine how they treat others. The worst Furniture franchise on the face of the earth.Rooms To Go

With respect to their situation, stains or discoloration are not vendor related defects. It would fall under the purview of the extended service plan if it is accidental. We have reviewed the account, technicians findings and the pictures taken at time of service. We regret there are multiple areas this is not considered accidental but consequential damage. For this reason, their claim was denied. Our office agrees with this decision. The customer may request to cancel the remaining plan should they not wish to have it.
Although we value our customers business and sympathize with their concerns, please understand we are abiding by the guidelines within the contract. We apologize for being unable to pursue any action due to the reasons explained above.

customer service is horrible I have been waiting for a refund for order ********i purchased on April 28, 2023 since June 16, 2023. I was told it may take 21 days. I called back on July 10, 2023 do to no refund they said they have to reprocess it, wait another 14 days. I will not shop there again.Rooms To Go

We are in receipt of this review.
In response to our customers concerns, we have reviewed the account with our accounting office. The customer signed and sent back their release agreement for the offered discount on 6.16.23. The processing timeline is stated on said agreement. All refunds/credits take up to 21 business days to process and 1-2 billing cycles to reflect on the credit card statement.
We have been made aware the paperwork was processed on our end and posted on 7.13.23. It should reflect on the customers account by the end of next week. The customer is free to verify once they have allowed the stated time.

I went to rooms to go on 7/7/23 with the purpose of buying a kids bed with a drawer first the sales girl Lissette R sold me the bed without a drawer underneath, second the back board came damage and above all had to drive back to the store for the drawer on my time my gas and now they're telling me I have to wait for a drawer till November that's insane they promise you everything just to get a sale and then nothing comes out right.. bad decision coming to this store and spending $2800.00 .. ROOMS TO GO IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS.. NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY SALE ME ANYTHING..Rooms To Go
