1 starI had previously purchased a sofa from RTG online and was very pleased. I recently went to the ************ store to purchase another sofa and ottoman. I stated that I was a previous customer. After the salesman pulled up my info, he proceeded to make a very inappropriate racist remark about my address. I told him it was not appreciated and the subject needed to be changed. I hindsight, I should have asked for another sales person. He placed the order and I paid. The receipt was placed in an envelope and I did not check it. When the sofa was delivered, there was no ottoman. I also noticed that my last name was incorrect on the invoice. I called the store and spoke with a manager. The ottoman had not been ordered, so the order was placed and paid for over the phone. I asked that my name be corrected and was told it would be done. I received a call from customer service stating that my name could only be changed by going into the store with my driver's license. I offered to email a copy of my ID, but was told that was not an option. I have NEVER had any revolving or credit account with RTG. I have always paid in full for my merchandise. This is the most inconvenient absurd requirement in order to change my own name when it was not correct on the invoice. I will NEVER purchase anything from RTG EVER again. After reading some prior reviews, racism seems to be common practice in the showrooms. How sad!Review fromCindy huffstetler

I bought a dining room table from rooms to go back in August of 2022 I've had it 4 months and one of the barstools is already falling apart and the chair is very wobbly we're afraid to sit in it because it might collapse I have contacted customer service and they told me they would send somebody out February the 7th to fix it or replace it how do I know within a year the whole thing is not going to fall apart I'm a very dissatisfied customerRooms To Go

our customer for any inconvenience or misunderstanding they may have experienced.
With respect to their situation, we have reviewed the
account in its entirety. Records reflect the furniture was delivered on 8.06.22.
Since date of delivery, there is no record of any reports of any verbal or
written communication regarding any issues with any of the barstools, bench or
table until 1.16.23. We have been made aware that a service is scheduled to
evaluate the barstool in keeping with the terms of the 1-year warranty RTG
offers. It is scheduled for 2.07.23.

1 starNever have I been somewhere that u spend over 2000$ dollars and it’s broken from day one and u can not get a refund . The store in Selma texas employee actually told me if I don’t want them I can sell them! I was not told about the no refund policy when we got it and here we r with broken couches and they’re going to bring the same ones and we will just send them back they would rather lose 10,000$ in couches then just give us our 2400$ backReview fromNan R

1 starMy dresser came on 12/1/2022. The back had a hole in it. A new one came a month later with the wood damaged on the side. The 3rd one came with wood damage on the side and the drawers not working. A 4th one came on Jan 14 with wood damaged again. The worst customer service in the world. Told them to inspect it before sending the 4 the one. They did not as always. Major fights with them about delivery times. On Jan 14th after many calls I spoke to Clayton who said my piece would be here by 11;30 because I had a meeting I had to be at by 1145. Of course it was not. Many many phone calls to them the most frustrating experience ever. Now waiting for someone to fix the 4th piece. Buyer beware.Review fromStephanie L

Bought sofa and chair in April 2022. Cushions compacted to almost flat. Tech came out. Ordered all new cushions. They arrived Are wrong size for sofa and chair, as they hang over the end. Fabric doesn't match original. The grain is different. Very dissatisfied and rtg wants me to get the tech to order more new cushions. I live alone and 1 year old furniture looks like it's 10 years old. I want to return it and get a refund but company won't. What do I do?Rooms To Go

With respect to their situation, we have reviewed the
account and technician’s findings in its entirety. It was deemed the issues with
the chair and sofa cushions were not vendor related. However, new cushions were
authorized and sent to the home.
At this time, our office would need to review the matter
further before any decision may be rendered. We can either send a technician to
review the new cushions and take pictures or the customer may send them to us directly.

BUYER BEWARE - my purchase resulted in several delivery dates thru no fault of the retailer. With one exception, I had difficulty with the delivery staff each delivery. From the delivery of damaged property about which they did not divulge, to damaging my wall and leaving behind packaging debris that even trailed outside of my home. The last delivery resulted in dealing with a rude and disrespectful delivery guy while in my residence. The main office staff member was condescending when I reported the delivery guy. This company does not care about the customer or the service they provide.Rooms To Go

allegations expressed, as we do not condone any lack of professionalism by any
of our associates and/or affiliates.
We will be reviewing the allegations with the delivery
company’s management team to further investigate and address any issues should
it be deemed necessary.
Unfortunately, any information acquired is privileged and
confidential and would not be released to the public but will be used to ensure
a similar situation does not transpire in the future. In regards to their
property claim, our records reflect it has been reported the delivery company’s
claim administrator and they have been communicating directly with the customer.

BEWARE!!! I have contacted customer service trying to get my late payments back because I was paying my bill a head of time and was shocked to see that I was being charged a late fee every month. I do paperless billing and how I caught on was I noticed my bill amount was never going down. So I reviewed the statements and seen where I was being charged a late fee when bill had been already paid for the month. Contacted customer service to only be told that they would refund me, refunds not received as of today. Keep being told I paid late and told them I have all my receipts. Then I was told that my payment needs to be paid only 2 days before and if I pay earlier then it shows as late. I have never been told or read that my payment was to be paid 2 days before due date, if paid early it would be a late. Paying off and will never use again.Rooms To Go

However, please understand that Rooms To Go is solely the retailer. The finance/credit card company paid us when the customer received the ********************. Unfortunately, we do not have access to their financing accounts nor send any information to the credit bureaus, etc. Our company has no jurisdiction regarding any billing issues the customer may be having. Therefore,the customer will have to direct any concerns to the finance institution.

1 starBreach of Promise and Poor Delivery On October 3, 2022, I purchased a queen size adjustable base. The delivery date was scheduled for October 22. At 8:30pm a twin adjustable base was delivered. The next day I complained to the manger. He apologized, offered me a $50 dollar credit for my inconvenience and rescheduled the delivery eleven days later for November 22. No compensation was credited to my charge card as I was promise. I called and left a message for the associate who sold me the platform to respond to my call, I did not hear from him. On November, 28, I mailed a letter asking him to to please issue me a credit. As of January 7 ,2023 still no reply.Review fromCurtis B

1 starWe purchased a dining set, Bayside by Whalen 9 pc, however we only received 7 pcs. They did not protect the surface, which you would think a dining table should be sealed for water. There. are cracks between each piece of veneer and water was spilled and we wiped it up however we didn't get it dry enough and the veneer bubbled up, I put claims in two times but after the repair guy came, he said it was too big to repair. So they would not approve the claim. The claims were still done way before the year warranty. They said it was not a manufacturers defect, however my position was the table top should have been sealed.. On January 4th, 2023 I noticed on the Whalen website, that the dining set was on recall because of the chair being a fall hazard. Yesterday I spoke with seven different employees and one was a manager that was very rude and obnoxious. I also sent 3 employee the website page. They refuse to honor it.Review fromBrenda L

I bought a couch and loveseat that turned out to be infested with bedbugs. I called the corporate headquarters to complain. All I got was an apology. The infestation is so bad I am forced to throw out the expensive couch. My husband had to go see a doctor because the bites were so severe. I will never buy from them again.Rooms To Go

We are in receipt of our customers review.
In regards to our customers situation, our office has reviewed their account in its entirety. Our records reflect they received the living room furniture on 6.10.22. No verbal or written communication in reference to their allegations, have ever been reported since the receipt of the product until 12.21.22.Therefore, there is no evidence to support bugs originated with the furniture delivered.
Although we value their business and sympathize with their concerns, Rooms To Go is unable to acknowledge these allegations.
