1 starFirst time customer- NEVER AGAIN.The sales lady did her job. Professional and great customer service. The delivery team FAILED. The hours of delivery were 10A.M. - 2 P.M. I received a phone call from Rooms To Go at 10:50 A.M. to cancel the delivery The person informed me that the delivery was automatically rescheduled for Monday September 12th. I work Monday through Friday and can only receive delivery on Saturday. I emphasized that upon purchase. The woman stated I would have to call customer service. I called customer service with a long wait time in queue. Finally a customer service representative rescheduled for Saturday September 17th. After much contemplation, I decided to cancel the order. I called customer service again to cancel was transferred to the store of purchase. The rude representative at the store, told me that I cannot cancel the delivery or the order as the item was on the truck. I have to call customer service yet again on September 12th to cancel delivery and the order. From what I understand - on that date it will still be on the truck. This company has NO follow through after the sale. Rooms To Go is the only company I have experienced delivery and cancellation issues along with a total lack of problem solving skills. On Feb, 26 2022 I ‘am a 64-year-old man David went to the room to go store in Orlando Florida shopping for a living room set since RTG had a promotion going on and I was looking for a particular style and I found it there. the sale women were very friendly and nice, we laugh and joke around and had a pleasant time. To make the final purchase she brought me over to the lady in charge of the finance and we sat down at the table and as she explains to me how it works, the two-piece Seconal was on sale as a set but then she broke it up and sold me each piece separately one sofa - whit/Ellington was $590.71 and the chaise- white Ellington was $697.29 which bring the total up to $1,288.00. I was fine with that the finance lady pulled out her lap top computer and begin speed reading the terms and conditions and past me the tablet computer for me to sign with my initials and I did, she repeated the process for about 15 times. cool I was fine with that. She then asked me how did I want to make the first payment that would be $230.00 I hand her my bank card and told her to make it for $300.00. she then told me that my payment will be $230 dollars a month for 90 days if not paid by then they would start charging an interest on the purchase once again I was fine with that, but I asked her if I can pay it off before then and she begin to explain how each payment was going to build my credit if I pay it within six months as long as I don't miss any payments. I was fine with that as well. Now here’s the thing I paid $230 dollars every month from 2/26/22 till 8/3/22 which would bring my total payment to $1,688 including the $300 I paid for the down payment from the beginning. (Do the math) Now I know that I was all paid up for the sofa set so I contact the store to get my balance and final bill of sale. I was shocked to hear the women over the phone told me that my balance was $1,240.00 “**** ****” I said how can that be and the women told me because after 90 days ifRooms To Go

Dear BBB,We are in receipt of your letter to our office.On behalf of Rooms To Go, please express our apologies to our customer for any misunderstandings they may have experienced regarding their billing.At some Rooms To Go locations, Acceptance Now (RAC) offers a rent-to-own lease option as an alternative for customers who do not apply or qualify for traditional financing. RAC is a rent to own agency. They are a separate and independent company not affiliated with Rooms To Go. Rooms To Go sells the product to Acceptance Now and they in turn enters into a rental agreement directly with the customer. Our customer decided to go with this option in order to acquire the furniture in their home. In order to complete this transaction, our customer fully executed all the paperwork detailing the terms of said transaction with RAC.Please understand that Rooms To Go is solely the retailer. Unfortunately, this is out of our jurisdiction as we have no access to financing accounts. Therefore, any further inquiry should be directed to Acceptance Now. Rooms to Go quality ****** Delivered damaged headboard, took a week and a half to receive a replacement. Finally started assembling my king storage bed and the drawer kit does not go to my bed. All they do is apologize and put me back in the queue fir replacement delivery. The bed itself seems flimsy, I truly worry about it falling apart. The drawers in the dresser are off track and fall forward when opened. Terrible quality, terrible customer service. **********, **Rooms To Go

An exchange was generated for the drawer and rails as the customer reported it was incorrect. It is scheduled for 9.27.22. When I made my purchase on 9/2, I was given a delivery date of Friday, 9/9. When I called to verify on Thursday, 9/8, I was informed my order was never scheduled for delivery and they only deliver to my area on Wednesday and my new delivery date is 9/21 - TWO WEEKS! The manager explained that a very good employee had handled my purchase and the store did an excellent job of in-house training employees. REALLY? The employee didn't know about deliveries only on Wednesday and did not notice there was no delivery date. The manager told this single female to get a truck and pick it up at the warehouse if I wanted it sooner! I purchased a whole house of furniture for my son's first home. If I ever receive my furniture, I will not have to shop there again. Please, do yourself a favor and look for furniture elsewhere.Rooms To Go

If I could rate zero stars, I would.It is a business mistake to have a store which has outsourced customer service (care?) and delivery to different entities. The left hand and the right hand do not communicate. I ordered furniture (sofa, loveseat, cocktail table, 2 end tables, and three lamps - a $3200 order) in June 2022 for August 6 delivery at my new home. Delivery was set for morning, then it was changed by text to afternoon. Then, it was changed again by text to evening (5-9pm) Never showed up. No calls, no show. ************* (?) could not help me reschedule the delivery until it showed back ** in the warehouse - this took from Saturday August 6 until the following Thursday! So then I rescheduled the delivery for September 3rd. - and was informed that the floor lamp I had ordered had been discontinued and I had to go to the store to select different lamps. Wait, what? wasn't that on the truck on August 6th??? I went to the store, bought the floor lamp that was on display (cash and carry). I love that lamp.September 3rd comes and I have cleared my schedule (again) for delivery. Dispatch calls to tell me it is not possible to be delivered because of a driver emergency. and could I be home for delivery on Sunday. I said No. I am away from the house all day on Sundays. I went to the store and canceled my entire order.... The customer service desk in the store was quite helpful. refunded my deposit. I then went to a LOCAL furniture company whose Delivery drivers and customer service are employed by the ******************** company and not outsourced. Yes, I paid more but got far better quality furniture and it is wonderful. I will not darken RTG doors again, unless it is to buy something and carry it home with me. Additional information: the cancellation of the order and of the delivery did not get sent to the delivery company. at 2pm on Sunday, Sept 3rd, I received a call from the driver that he was at my door. Low quality furniture, and I paid extra on the insurance. Both of the armrest the wood feel off you, the springs are sinking, two technicians came and told me the couch was bad, but on their report they said something different, how can you trust the company with people like that, also the arm rest and the springs are part of the frame wich is cover under the insurance, and the report says is not part of the frame.I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PIECE OF FURNITURE THERE.Rooms To Go

Dear BBB,We are in receipt of this review.Rooms To Go offers a 1-year warranty for manufacturers defects as stated on the terms located on their purchase invoice. Theirs expired as of 9.19.21. Our customer purchased the extended service plan powered by Fortegra. Their guidelines are clearly outlined under the website referenced on said invoice. With respect to their situation, we have reviewed their account 2 different service findings in its entirety. Unfortunately, the issues have been deemed to be consequential damage. I will not be returning as a customer to ******************** or opening a line of credit with ******* as I have had a HORRIBLE experience. I created an account online and made a purchase through *******. When I went onto ******* to create my account to set up payment I was given the run around that I needed to contact to store to have the store contact ******* to approve the purchase. If someone from rooms to go didnt contact ******* for the approval then it would take 170 days for this to process otherwise. I spoke with 5 different individuals with Rooms to Go all of which never made my problem their problem and had no idea what ******* was referring to. *****************************, *******, and finally ********* were some of the people affiliated with Rooms to Go that I spoke with. I spent 98 minutes of my time trying to figure this out. I was told when my purchase/acct was looked up that I indeed did not make the purchase online but rather in a store in ********* *****- WRONG. So finally speaking with ******************** was told this matter has been referred to corporate and they would need to contact ******* to figure out the situation. Mind you my purchase was ***** and the original delivery date I was given is 10/27 so I am hoping this situation doesnt push back my delivery date any further at the very least. I am beyond frustrated with this company and the financial Institution they are affiliated with.Rooms To Go

As an initial matter, some online orders or CHAT based orders are generated through designated showroom locations. This is why the customer was referred to speak to the showroom location.In regards to their billing, RTG is not affiliated with any financing company as they are separate institutions. We are solely the retailer and facilitate the applications on the consumers behalf. Furthermore, once approved by the financing institution, the customer is not actually billed until the ******************** is in the customers possession. In this case, since delivery has not been made, the billing or balance information cannot be established until after delivery takes place on 10.27.22.We trust this review has been answered.Review fromLynn C

I was told by a Rooms To Go costumer service member that a barstool set was only sold online and that they had a very good return policy if I was not happy with my purchase. I placed the order and the barstool set arrived on September 2nd. They were uncomfortable seating and was not happy with the color. I called costumer service online to request a return on September 6 (since September 5th was labor day) and was told they could not honor the return because it was more than 48 hours from purchase and that I should had called on Sunday. I'm never ordering anything online through Rooms To Go and don't ever want to give them my business in person at their stores. This was poor costumer service. No where on the website says that return has to be within 48 hours. I wish I had not listened to the Rooms To Go associate that said it is safe to place the order online and that they had great return policy, because that is not true. This is a misleading and lying company. Do not recommend to anyone to place any online orders through them and be careful with purchases in their stores. I do not trust Rooms To Go.Rooms To Go

Don’t shop there. They sell low grade products that they don’t stand behind warranties. We bought a couch from them. Within MONTHS the fabric started coming apart. So they sent a “tech” out to shave the material down. Not replace the cushions, but shave material off of them. We have now had a tech come out 3 times for the same issue. The tech himself said this will keep happening until you can see through your cushions, and you’ll have to replace the couch anyway. Rooms To Go refuses to issue a credit to select a different couch, offer a refund for a defective product, or do anything “until the service dept closes out your service by calling you with the results.” In 3 such visits - service has called us exactly 0 times regarding any of it. When calling they refuse to let me speak with a manager of any kind, or offer anyway to resolve the garbage quality couch they sold us. Next step is BBB, small claims court to get our money back, and as many online reviews as possible to help others avoid this mess.Rooms To Go

I purchased at living room I pay $3,357.34 I purchased guaranty after few months one of the recliner arm broke rooms to go replace it same recliner after few times was damage totally broke and the other end of the couch was some pieces wrong oh missing when I call to get it fix they make wait more them 4 weeks to come I took a day off to be home and they call me 10 minutes before the driver was sick I was very I’m sad about last minute when I was already waiting for this for moths anyways they got me re schedule for another 2 to 3 weeks my couch was unsuccessful both ends broke and damage when they come to repair I saw it manufactured damage the wood have eye on the middle I took pictures the guy that come to fixed too I wait another month oh more just to receive a piece for one of the side then they took another month to come when they arrived they released was the wrong part again I have to call again wait and after calling everyone and waste time they call me after more then at moth again to come to rooms to go and pick up same oh another couch I was told I was gonna receive at full refund do to Manufacture Defect when I go to the location I purchased I didn’t find anything like What I have I wait and looks online I find one similar I when to the location at Grapvine when I ask I was told I have a credit for 3,120 because was a defect from the Manufacture when I choose something I don’t even like but I need my living room I was willing to pay little extra but was 2,350 more so I was like not I can’t this is way out of my budget so the guy was amazing and the store manager they find something that was gonna be maybe 1,000 more again was not my selection but I was ok with that then they don’t have it available until December I didn’t wanna wait this is September 3 come on I don’t have a living room right now you can’t even sit on both ends they call the location where I purchased and the assistant manager name Norma was very rude and say only 2,874 with warrantyRooms To Go

Dear BBB,We are in receipt of this review.Rooms To Go offers a 1-year warranty against manufacturers defects and workmanship as stated on the Terms and Conditions of Sale located on their purchase receipt. This warranty expired as of 4.09.22. They purchased an extended service plan powered by Fortegra. The terms for the plan are outlined under the website referenced on said invoice.Our office has reviewed the account and show Fortegra authorized repair as is in line with the terms of the plan. Parts were ordered from the manufacture in order to proceed with that course of action. Unfortunately, what was order was not correct. In the interest of satisfying the claim, our service department got approval from Fortegra to authorize a reselection of the sectional in the home to a different set equal in value. Consumers are responsible for any difference in price plus new delivery charge as the furniture is past the 1-year Rooms To Go warranty. The current set is picked up when the new product is delivered. The customer was given 30 days for this transaction. Should they wish to reconsider their decision, our office will authorize an extension to be valid until 11.04.22.Under the terms of the plans agreement, once the product is exchanged, the coverage is exhausted. They may refer to the terms of the extended service plan under Limit of Liability. Those monies are not refunded.Although we sympathize with their concerns, we are unable to pursue any other course of action due to the reasons explained above.Thank you for your time.
