  This company outright LIES about its savings. They make big promises but after the first month they TRIPLED their rate per kW from .08 to ****. This is THE HIGHEST amount I've ever paid at my business and home!! They should NOT even be able to sell their service in **. They are the biggest crooks in the business.

  I had been using American Power and Gas for two properties in ***** Co., **. The first 2 years were great. The rates for electric were significantly lower than Delmarva, and that bonus check came at the end of the year as promised. However, I got lazy in the 3rd Year. I didn't keep track of rates for either company, auto debit set up bill pay, checked off the list. Then I happened to see a $925.00 electric payment go thru when I know it had been averaging $400.00. I did a quick year review of ********'s cost/Kwh vs AP&G. To my horror their rate was double Delmarva and had been for almost 7 months. I called AP&G to cancel both accounts. 2 rings later ****** L answers my call, and I was not very nice at first. However, she stayd calm, cool and collected. She listened to me go thru my rant, then empathized with me, apologized, asked me to reconsider canceling. She then promised to send me a check and again, reconsider. ****** L was patient, respectful and let me get over the anger. And I did think about it. But the $850.00 I overpaid to them because I wasn't checking bills every month convinced me to leave. **************** was great, ****** couldn't have handled things any better. She has had to use those traits a lot in her position there. However, at the end of the day I refused to deal with a company so greedy, and who treated me so ruthlessly after I got comfortable with the service. I don't have the time to monitor a provider that closely each month and call them to discuss financial concerns. ******************, ********

  American **************************** has gouged the rate charged for natural gas at 5 times the rate of PSE&G and much higher than the rate originally advertised. This company has charged me $2,537.98 within 4 months for gas and electric charges. Before this company was added as a 3rd party supplier, my bill was showing a credit but now I have a shutoff notice. I called the company and was informed that since I put in a cancellation request, the company cannot adjust the amount charged on the account. I requested them to be removed months ago and they are still charging me for gas. I am barely home, I have solar panels and energy efficient appliances and lighting in my house, there is no way my bill should be $2,537.98. I demand a credit be issued to the account and want this company removed from my utilities account immediately. I will be seeking legal services and filing a formal complaint with the ** ***** of ****** Utilities.American **************************** has deceived their customers through deception and misrepresentation or rates and pricing. Instead of reducing monthly utility bills they have deceived consumers. This is unacceptable. This company should be held accountable.

  total scam, somehow they wound up on my utility bill and for 3 months my bill was over 1000.00, called my electric company and found out that they need no signature to sell you electric for over 2x the price i was paying from met-ed, had them thrown off my bill immediately when i found out, met ed told me they could be added by anyone that claims to live in the household, could be as simple as a conversation outside of a grocery store, this should be completely illegal, nothing that i buy doesnt require my signature, so how is this any different other then a total scam

  From the looks below in the comments, it appears American Power & Gas has paid a 3rd party to try and increase their score with fraudulent 5 star reviews. They are typically easy to spot. But this company is a complete sham. I'm angry I let it go on as long as I did, not paying attention to my bill. Probably cost me 1000's each year. They start you out on a great rate, but then it jumps up. They work under the premise that they will continually shop best rate for you, however in this case the standard carrier was .14 and APG was charging .28 so literally doubt. Terrible company, look elsewhere.

  I suspect that the 5 star reviews are plants by AP&G. The company has ripped me off by tripling my electric bill. The people answering the phone may be respectful but those who make the outgoing sales calls use high pressure techniques and will not provide a written contract.

  American Power and Gas of Seminole Florida promised to provide us with lower rates than our current utility. As the time went on in a short few months APG raised our rates to the point of three times the current open market electrical rates. I have contacted the company and they could not explain as to why my electrical rates rose to such a rate. Our rate got to be $.19 per kilowatt when our local utility was charging between $.03 and $.07 per kilowatt. In my opinion this is criminal charging customers these crazy rates! I have further contacted the New York State Attorney Generals Office to see if they would open a criminal case regarding APG. Also reviewing other forums this is a common practice of APG.   this company is the absolute worst. they continue to call my company every single day minute on the minute holding up the lines from potential customers to place their orders and no matter how many times in a day we decline their offers THEY STILL CALL. Even when we tell them we don't want it they STILL PERSIST TO SELL US THEIR PRODUCTS!!! I am searching on how to sue this company for harassment!
