I sustained no structural damage to my house from ***. I did lose my pool cage and from the water surge, our skimmer is leaking and there are some rust spots from the screws falling out of the demolished cage. I do have a ****** rider covering outside structures. American Integrity was fantastic, paying me the full amount plus money towards repairs on the pool. Thank you for being there.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

What a nightmare... we also filed a claim immediately after hurricane Ian. It seems nobody cares at this company even when the victims of the hurricane are suffering. Our claim number is ************. Our construction company has been trying to contact them every other day. I have been sending emails repeatedly, moreover the claim status is closed on their claims portal. I am lost with a blue tarp on the roof of the house. I have escalated this to a manager and I am on the phone with them as I write this review.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

Were sorry that your home experienced damage from Hurricane ***. According to our records, in December 2022, we conducted our assessment and issued payment based on that assessment. We disagree with the scope of work and price of the estimate presented by your contractor. We will continue to work with you and your contractor to reach an amicable solution. Please reach out to your adjuster should you need anything else.Praveen G.

4 months after Hurricane Ian, I am still waiting for a reasonable settlement to replace my roof which was only 7 yrs old at the time of the damage. Desk adjuster after desk adjuster…empty promises to my public adjuster and myself. Many phone messages left…emails sent. They have sent a check which does not even cover half of the damages to my home…they contracted a company to install my tarp …costing over $3800. I have paid my new premium this month and it doesn’t seem to bother them that they are insuring a home with significant roof damage and a tarp that could fail and cause even more interior damage to my ceiling than I now have which cannot be repaired until they provide more money…my claim has been reopened but no satisfaction. Claim number CHO-00131289…every other week there is a new desk adjuster…poor excuse. I have contacted an attorney and hope I don’t have to pursue it in that manner, but this company is pushing me in that direction.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

A nightmare is an understatement. AI has a 3rd party handling the claims. The field adjuster was great. He took all my information, roof, fence, lanai and water heater. Then the nightmare began. The desk adjuster said she didn’t see anything wrong in the pictures and I wouldn’t receive anything. WHAT, no fence, leaks. I was told I had to resubmit pictures and get quotes for all 4 items. I was confused. Then I got a call that I would receive a check for $4854 after deductible $154. NO do not send a check. Where did you get that number. The check came anyways and non of my other items were addressed. She said she is required even if I said no. When ask about the rest. I would need quotes before they send anymore. So I stared calling and it took weeks to get people. I sent the fence once received. Now I was told, I need ALL quotes and was told by there supervisor “mam, I need you to get them fast, we have another hurricane coming and I need to close your account “. I was in disbelief and furious. He had NO IDEA how hard it was to get quote’s during a hurricane. Then I was asked for the 4th time to send pictures. I ask again, why did you send $154 for my fence to cover for my deductible, but you can’t send ANYTHING else. SCAM I became so defeated and tired of tracking everyone down and dealing with them, I gave up after sending in the GC for lania. I was told it went to another department with the fence since I already took the claim!!! What I told her NOT to send the check and it arrived 3 days later without my permission. Why would I submit a claim to cover just the deductible. She didn’t care and after the manager spoke to me like he did, I’m done. I just want this over, I want my stuffed fix. Not one of my friends have gone through what I have. I got 2 quotes for a fence 8900, and funny how they ONLY send half. Horrible. If my issues aren’t resolved soon, I will have to look into legal action. There is more, just can’t fit in 2000 characters. Tanya O.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

I filed a claim the day after Hurricane ***. Field adjuster came out, sent in his report. The desk adjuster said I would need to find my own contractors. But then I was contacted by American Integrity's preferred vendor, they came and gutted 90% of the home, making it uninhabitable. I sent photos and told the desk adjuster we couldnt stay in the home. She never acknowledged the additional damage. She said to just get a hotel and put it on my credit card. I inquired about the *** funds, she directed me to a hotline for temporary placement. They found an Airbnb for $10k/month, I said no. That would deplete the *** funds before the house is repaired. Desk adjuster told me, in writing, that it was my own fault then. I found us an RV and sent them the lease agreement, I'm still fighting to get payments so we're not homeless. I hired a PA when they sent a $14k check for ALL OF THE DAMAGE. New roof and gutted home.. for $14k. I had a new roof put on asap to protect what was left, they still refuse to pay that contractor. They haven't even paid the preferred contractor for gutting it. There was finally a second inspection (same field adjuster as the first time) done but they refused to discuss it and CLOSED THE CLAIM after receiving his report. On our 3rd desk adjuster who basically just told us to go ahead and litigate, so we will be doing that to get our house back to how it was. This has been the absolute worst experience and SO UNNECESSARY. I dont understand the intentions behind their actions, but I shouldn't have to go through this, neither should any of you.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

I went through 6-7 adjusters, so many I lost count. Last guy was good, these are not AI adjusters, they are 3rd party (Ryze). First adjuster didn’t answer an email or phone call for over 6 weeks, come to find out he bailed, and I had no idea. End of the day, like many others I was forced to litigate. I had 5 leaks (we are talking pouring in) of water from the recent hurricane. Policy states I can make permanent fixes to my home to prevent further damage. That’s what I did, I put a new roof on. Now AI doesn’t want to pay. After the fact they said they wanted to schedule an engineer firm to come out. When you can’t communicate and keep adjusters, and it takes 2 months, I’m not going to wait. As a man, father and husband, I’m obligated to protect my family, and property. If I didn’t fix the roof, I would have gotten mold in my walls, I’m not going to let that happen. That makes my home uninhabitable and additional costs to AI for temporary living and removal. Now they will reply with a canned response, but that’s OK. The Lee County courthouse had a tarp on it and every potential jurist was affected by the hurricane. So we dance, even though I’m one who don’t like to litigate, I was left with no choice. They chose not to negotiate in good faith. I get the fact they have to mitigate the claim, but I will be indemnified fully to the full terms of my policy. See you folks in court.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

We filed our claim (************) September 29th. Since then, we have had 8 desk adjusters. In addition, we have also dealt with 3 supervisors/managers. One being the ** of claims, which is no longer employed by American Integrity. The desk adjusters ignored phone calls and emails constantly. It is negligent on the company's part to assign so many adjusters. How is anything going to get accomplished with the claim being passed from adjuster to adjuster? We received a loss of use payment October 13. We had to lease a new camper January 12th, and we are still waiting on a check for that loss of use. The new lease was emailed to the desk adjuster December 29. In the meantime, we had to pay out of pocket so that we are not homeless. In addition to of course, paying our mortgage. Our field adjuster advised that he would be recommending POLICY LIMITS. But when we spoke to one of the many desk adjusters, it wasn't even noted that we had mold damage. Of course, we had mold damage, our roof was torn off and it rained in the house for hours. We received a check for dwelling coverage November 2nd, and it is nowhere near enough to cover the damages to our entire home and nowhere near the policy limits. We decided to hire a public adjuster. Policy holders are not just a name or number. We are people. It has been almost 4 months and we want to be able to repair our home so that we can live in it. I wish that we were able to attach pictures, so that you could see the condition of our home.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

**************,
Were sorry that your home experienced damage from Hurricane ***. We apologize for the change in adjusters, and have escalated your claim to our new VP of Claims.
To assist you immediately after the storm, we deployed a company to dry your home, paid the initial camper lease submitted through its term, and issued payment (minus deductible and depreciation) on the estimate created during our initial damage assessment.
As next steps, we assigned an engineer to assist in the structural evaluation of the damages, issued payment for the secondary camper lease through the term in April, and requested a mold evaluation.
******************** submitted an estimate on 12/21/2022 that we are assessing in accordance with your policy limits. Currently, we are awaiting the results of the engineers inspection and the mold evaluation, assessing your contents loss and any further additional living expenses you have incurred, and reconciling your public adjusters estimates based on the needed scope to repair the home. We are actively working with ******************** to finalize and settle your claim.K. S.

You sent someone to tarp the roof, not to dry the home. We have had to do that on our own. Also, no one has mentioned to us that someone will be coming out to do a mold evaluation. We have been working for months to keep the mold at bay. Not once has someone come to check the mold. This is the problem with have 8 different desk adjusters. Also, the structural engineer was not sent by your company. We had to hire our own and pay out of pocket to do so. The structural engineer report was already sent to your company 12/28. Again this is the problem with having too many desk adjusters and the desk adjusters not communicating what is needed. This is unacceptable. It has been 4 months since the hurricane took our home from us. All policyholders deserve clear and concise communication and instructions on how to proceed with a claim. This has not been done.K. S.

If I could leave no stars, I would. This company is absolutely horrible. My home got damaged from Hurricane *** back in September, here we are 4 months later (also 5 adjusters later) and barely received money to start the repairs on my home. It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of anyone in the phone and when you do get ahold of someone, no one has answers. The adjusters are absolutely useless and dont care at all about their customer service. *** sent countless emails, left dozens of voicemails and it never gets me anywhere. My husband and I have never been late on providing our payments to them and this is how they repay us? This company is awful, save yourself the headache and go elsewhere because I promise you if you ever need them, they will not be there for you.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida

This company is horrible on communication. We had damage from ***. All we have heard is that the damage is below our deductible, but they have not provided any monetary estimates of how much the damage is. We have asked for the information many times and were told an email is coming. The email came but the money amount for the estimated repairs is zero and once again we are told, damage is below deductible. We want to know what figure they used to determine damage is below deductible.American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida
