Last August 2022 Year at my job I was given a gift card for $30 gift card the funds are available there but NO POPEYE restaurant can retrieve the money I have tried reaching out to over 10 times I live in ****** I tried using it 5 different locations also the fun fact when I drove to ******** ******** I tried using it there at locations on ******** no success just crazy no success I then downloaded to their app and try to make my food purchase that way still no success I continue getting an error message All I want is to be able to use my gift card that my co-worker spent her hardworking money on please help the popeyes on my account is still showing available $30Initial Complaint

I ordered to go from the popeyes location *************************************************************** on 2/19/23 at around5:30pm. My order number was 90. Total was $5.29. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries and 2 biscuits. When I got the food home The sandwich was almost raw and they did not give me my fries or biscuits. I want a full refund.Initial Complaint

I went to Popeyes on ************** in **************. I ordered the family meal combo and the flounder fish combo. Unfortunately my partner didnt check the bag however both large sides were missing. I went back up to the Popeyes to get the sides and they told me they were closed and threw all the Sides away. So I then asked for a refund for the sides that were missing from my order. She then proceeds to tell me I need to come tomorrow and I can pick up the sides. I ask why would I want to get the sides tomorrow for the chicken I have tonight? She wants to keep going back and forth because she is thinking I want a refund for the entire meal. I explained again I want a refund for the sides. Then she says she cant refund it because it was a combo meal so I can either come tomorrow to get the sides or make me fries now. I already explained I didnt want more fries with my order as I already had some in the other part of the order. At the end of the day you left part of my order out I already had to come all the way back to the store and to have to go through all of this is beyond disappointing after spending $38 on my order. **************** should have been handled way better and I should be able to get a refund for items I did not receive. How can you try to force me to take what you have? I wont be visiting that Popeyes anymore at all and I hope to still receive my refund for my sides for the inconvenience and bad attitude of the store manager.Initial Complaint

Initial problem reported to ****************** Manager ( Oct. 16, 2022 ):Upon entry, one of the employees behind the counter was on their cellphone viewing ************* An hour and 1/2 After placing our online order we got our food and we were missing a Large Mash potatoes and Gravy, along with a Red Beans and Rice. After notifying staff: After an additional 15 minutes we received the missing items. By the time we arrived home (8 minutes) with our order the Chicken and the Biscuits were cold. I contacted the Manager **** and he asked me to get in contact with the District Manager for a refund.Initial Complaint

On 02/01/2023 I purchased a chicken sandwich and cheesecake for takeout at Popeyes. I live less than 10 minutes away and realized immediately when I saw my sandwich that it was unacceptable. Within 30 minutes of my takeout order, I contacted Popeyes to request a refund. It took several days for anyone to return my message. At that time, Popeyes requested pictures of the food, which I provided. In addition, I provided a picture of my receipt. Again, it took several days for a response. I was told that Popeyes had put a $5 coupon on my Popeyes account and that they wouldnt be providing a refund. I requested that my issue be escalated. Again, several days later, someone responded to say that they had put additional credit on my Popeyes account, that the restaurants are franchised, and that it would be another week to 10 days for the franchise owner to decide whether I would get a refund. I do not have a Popeyes account, and if I signed up for one, Im sure Popeyes would make more money selling my info than the credit they are offering. In my most recent email, I stated that I would be filing this complaint if I had not received my refund by 02/10/2023. No one has even bothered to reach out.Initial Complaint

On New Years Eve (12/31/22) I went thru the Popeyes drive thru in *******, **. to get my family some dinner. I ordered the family 16 pc chicken strip meal and some extra sides. Total cost was $49.64. After waiting a very long time in line I left and went home with the food. When I opened the food at home I realized they gave me the wrong order. It was a 8 pc dark meat spicy chicken on the bone which my family will not eat. I drove the 20 minutes to go back to get my correct order that I just paid a good bit of money for but arrived around 5:50pm and they were all closed up with the lights off. So I then had to go to Zaxbys and pay again to get actual chicken tenders for our dinner. I have called the customer service number 3 times and they always tell me someone will be in touch with me within 3-5 business days but I never hear from anyone. Now they are e-mailing me telling me all they can do is give me a $20 coupon and that is only if I download their app. I am not downloading any apps and I don't want a coupon because I will not be returning to Popeyes. I want my money refunded to me since I paid for something that I never received.Initial Complaint

On 1-21-23 I *************** entered Popeyes chicken with my nephew ************************I purchased a 2 piece dinner in which the guy who I don't know name only face,had told told me after my purchase that he overcharged me.which I was charged ***** and some change.The mgr.told me my money would be back on my debit card within 5 work days.This was 1-21-23.Its presently now 2-10-23.I've contacted Popeyes corporate several times with a promise to replace my funds back to my debit card but nothing to this day.please help me with this dilemma if possible??? February 2, 2023 Poor customer service. Managers need training on customer service. Stop treating customers like oh well mistakes happen get over it take your replace order and leave. Managers need to learn how to cook food and properly train the staff on how to cook the food before boxing the food handed to customers. Managers need to stop making excuses or justifying a issue when it's a mistake that needs correcting. Very displease with my customer service at ********************** in ******, **.It was upsetting watching the manager open up the chicken explaining to me the chicken was done.Yes, the inside of the chicken was done. However, due to the cooks not properly shaking the fry basket to seperate the chicken parts from sticking together cause the chicken skin to look not fully done.I was a manager at popeye before and now the process on how to cook chicken ***********I hope popeye's district manager train the staff on cuatomer service and how to cook.Initial Complaint

On 11/18/22 I ordered Popeyes via the app for drive thru pick up. When my father arrived not knowing I already paid via the app he handed a staff the debit card because they asked for it despite me already paying. During this transaction is when they mustve swiped my card. My bill was $13.81 but they charged my card $35.99. I didnt know he handed them the card to much later on and thought it was an app error the charge. Ive been emailing Popeyes support, my bank chase, and the popeyes store ever since trying to get a refund. Popeyes support app said that the charges wouldnt go thru it was just pending but it did go thru. Someone stole from me and no one is willing to take accountability. Its been almost 3 months of non stop hoops to get my money. Im on a fixed income and every dollar matters. Despite me faxing over many documents proving I didnt make this purchase. Also through out my entire history I have never spent that much at Popeyes they refuse to refund me. Saying the back room looked into it and my case is closed. How they cant tell me what documents I need as proof but I need to prove it. How can I prove a negative? Also if they looked in my bank account they would see its an isolated incident. They did no real investigation. Its a sham.
