its time this agency is removed from ******, just look at all the other reviews here. Stall tactics, paying for a product you cannot use and being told the matter is escalated for another 30 days. They have taken my money and have provided neither service nor refund for lack of access. any call has the same outcome, we can not do anything sorry for the inconvenience matter has been escalated, all I needed was my address updated and now I've been charged and will be charged again in the 30 days it takes them to respond. 0 stars.how are canadiens supposed to dispute errors on their report or clean up their history if all it takes is a change of address and you are locked out of your access regardless of all the correct security question answers. not to mention since the call center is overseas now there is a complete lack of knowledge and will to help, they answer calls just to hang up or escalate the matter. to whom do these simple matters need to be escalated to. if customer ********************** can't do anything than what's the point. if we are to be held to the standard of their reporting then we deserve access to it, especially if we've paid.

Zero stars if that was possible.Death notice information submitted TWICE in writing to the ******* location as directed and I've received yet another response letter from Equifax asking me to submit the death certificate AGAIN. Called the customer ********************** phone number referenced and after a long phone tree (4 min.) I was connected with an agent that said they had no access to any of the information and that I should just resubmit all documentation again. No thank you. Equifax can figure it out on their own.DO NOT BOTHER TO TRY TO NOTIFY EQUIFAX OF A PERSON'S DEATH IN WRITING OR ONLINE. It's a waste of time.

Hi There, Normally I find Equifax to be reliable but since they have moved their call center overseas I am seeing a drastic change in knowledge. I have paid off my consumer proposal and *********** has already updated my file. Even though Equifax would have received the same information Transunion did they still not have updated my file. Currently, I am applying for jobs that require a job search someone at Equifax has now updated my account for two files and further dropped my score by 61 points. Not only I cannot apply for jobs now it has brought me stress. Every time I call yes Sir we will update it in 24 to 48 hours. IT has been a week and still no change. The Consolidation is now a month old. Thank you, Equifax for s******* me over.

Equifax is constantly allowing inaccurate information to be on my credit report from "lenders", and isn't doing anything about it, despite me making them aware of the inaccuracies on my credit report. I also provide them with proof that the information is incorrect. Instead of responding to my complaints, they use stall tactics to avoid properly responding, or fixing the issues! When I filed a complaint previously, afterwards, Equifax prohibited me from accessing my credit report through my.equifax.com. So, I submitted the id and social security card, and the user portal STILL doesn't show me my ********************** report. I called back to have them escalate the issue since the user portal isn't working properly and I'm unable to access MY information. Yet, I still have minimal access to my credit report. When I log in, I can't see ANY credit information (i.e. accounts, inquiries, nothing!) Just because I dispute inaccurate information, and file complaints with the BBB and other agencies, doesn't mean you reprimand me, and PREVENT me from accessing my credit report, and credit information.

Equifax is deliberately charging lenders for employment verifications they don't need. In October of 2022, they changed their employment verification packaging to essentially force lenders to purchase multiple products when they only want one. I'm sure increased lender costs don't matter much to the average consumer, but these costs ultimately get passed onto the consumer, so this is something people should care about. Imagine walking into a hardware store for a shovel, and being told you need to buy a gallon of pink paint as well, just because. That's what Equifax is doing, and they are laughing all the way to the bank. Their stock has doubled in the last five years, as they find sneaky and unethical ways to steal from the ******** people. It would be one thing if using Equifax for employment verifications was optional, but a lot of employers ONLY use Equifax, and won't validate employment any other way. So lenders are forced to use them, and then when they do, they're forced to pay for the pink paint they don't want or need. Equifax is also the most expensive of the three credit bureaus on pretty much everything. But all of this is pointless because there is nothing anyone can do about it. They have a monopoly on the credit market, and will continue to rake lenders and homeowners over the coals as long as they are allowed to do it.

Nobody answers the telephone, got an alert on credit and waited 1.5 hours to be recalled in which I had to leave. This is a paying service that is worth less that 0 stars.

Calls for over a year to fix a product issue. I cannot get service to help me access and subscribe to MyEquifax so that I can monitor and follow-up on my credit score. Equifax changed systems and when I log in it just tells me "We are temporarily unable to complete this request. Please try again later.", and "Your Equifax credit report summary is currently unavailable. Please call our ************* team at (they're toll-free line) or try again later." This is all the information I've been able to get for a year. Numerous calls and tickets created and escalations sent to fix the issue have gone completely unanswered. The company has a lot of power in dictating a persons credit and buying power and if I cannot access it, then I believe this is an infringement on my rights. These companies need to be more accessible and transparent, otherwise they should not be able to hold such private information nor should they have any role in preventing credit lending etc.
