citibank refused me with a credit card due to equifax report. i order copy from them. few mistakes! they have 1 extra letter in my name, middle initial (i dont have it) and my birthday shows 73 years old (even im 60) and, lastly, my birthday as 12/30/1899 (making me the oldest person in a world). how come such company can be in business to provide credit reports, fico score and other info to creditors??? what a shame!!! the c/s speak very poor english (he was, probably, from ******* or ***********, in order for company to save on the salary expenses). he dont seee my birthday at his file at all. really? when asked about VintageScore reason codes (ie 34, 39, 63, 66) he cant understand and explain it. dont use equifax or pay them any monthly fees, since they are no prudent and allow mistakes in reports, which may be one of the reason to provide credit to consumer. who want to credit 123 years old person?

We had Equifax family monitoring. During their transition to new system/ product we decided to cancel. Rep had to confirm with spouse, who was main account holder. We confirmed identities and gave consent to close it. August 4, 2022, I was still being charged. Told CSR ****#AXA641 that login system said I didn't exist, that I had thought we had canceled this. **** confirmed it -had- been canceled in 2021. She gave me the call center.escalations email and had me send statements and driver's licenses. No response or confirmed receipt in 1 1/2 weeks. Today a rep tried to tell me my account was canceled on the date I spoke to ****. "****'s notes say the account is canceled" I said, "yes in 2021. **** put in her notes that it was canceled not that she was the one who canceled it, otherwise why give me the email address and instructions?" Then rep told me that my account had been canceled but that spouse's had not, hence my credit card still being charged. I told her that we had canceled it, that it makes no sense to have canceled it only to have ONE person on a family account and that if **** had been able to see it was canceled and knew that the money was coming out why would she not have canceled it in 22, or told me how to? Rep said my spouse needed to call in to stop charging MY CC. I asked for super., "just have him call." I insisted and have been on hold now for 1:45 minutes. Nevermind it just disconnected me. Updated: Spouse called. *****#*****, confirmed ******'s account is open, why wasn't I informed in 2022? ***** said no record of any other account on plan ever. It's FINALLY closed, email to prove it. He: "...got a cancel email in 2021?" We: "no, not for the one you guys said you -did- cancel either." He: "unfortunately, no recorded notes before 2021 system change." We're escalated to billing for review. We'll get an email or call within 30 days. 5-7 for a refund if allowed. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. Equifax was supposed to be good for my finances.

Would give zero stars if possible. They ran a credit report because my wife and I are trying to buy a house, but they mistyped my SSN and pulled someone else's info. Their automated systems can't validate who I am because of their mistake, and fighting with the automated attendant finally gets me connected to a call center in ***** full of decent, kind people that unfortunately can't help either.I was directed to send a fax with all of my information, and it's now been a week. Both follow-up calls to ***** have ended with the statement that they can't pull up my account or verify who I am.And I can't do anything on their self-serve website because it can't validate who I am because of Equifax's initial mistake of pulling the wrong person's credit.

This is by far the worst company I have ever worked with. Just trying to speak to anybody is next to impossible. I just wanted to get a fax number. I got married and had to change my name. This company lost my sensitive material in the mail. Then said to fax everything and they gave me the wrong number. This is a horrible horrible company.

I have been trying for the past few years to have my credit score updated. Every time I call it is "escalated". I never receive a response back, and when I call back in I go through the sake process with the same 'reslolution".

1 star. Although their product was somewhat useful and credit report was thorough, it was a very difficult and painful process to then cancel this monthly $19.95 service once started. You cannot cancel online and have to call in. I talked with a representative that could not speak very good english at all and who seemed to be working in a huge bullpen with horrible background noise. I had to repeat over and over that I want to cancel my service. I was put on hold 3 times during the hour long phone call. I honestly believe they want to make it as difficult a process as possible --> either for you to just give in and continue with paying by ending the painful call. I finally finished the process and agreed to have my service discontinued. Then my credit card was immediately charged an additional $11.17 customer ********************** fee to end my service. It is quite a shame they will not prorate a monthly service but will charge you extra to cancel. This is "trash" customer ********************** as my kids would say. I will not be using them again. Seems like a common theme, now reading all of the other reviews...wish I would have read them before signing up.

Everything went smoothly until I needed to cancel and then I had to waste half an hour of my life waiting on the phone and then answering ridiculous questions. What a way to waste human resources and get clients upset when all you needed to do is to include a "cancel" button.

I have been trying to get a balance removed from my credit report for 6 months now. Every month I call back only to be told the same thing. Fill out the dispute form and send in the information. I do that, and they do NOTHING. I ask to speak to a supervisor and they place you on hold for an hour or more and then cut you off. They should not be allowed to handle credit information. They literally hold your ability to get a job, loan or mortgage in their hands, and they have no oversight and no accountability whatsoever. They can hold your financial future hostage with no recourse to fight them. One customer "**********************" agent even told me that maybe if I have a paid subscription to equifax they could help me. If I could give a minus star rating I would.

Worst of the 3 credit agencies. No one in the ** to contact.Website is terrible. You can create an account to freeze your file. If you want to temporarily lift the freeze you can do that online. But, there is NO way to remove the temporary lift yourself. If you call their offshore people you will have to give them every single bit of personally identifying information over the phone in order for them to begin to help you. SSN, phone #, address, DOB...
