Absolutely terrible. While trying to boot a car during a storm, a tree fell on the technician (well deserved) so he left no ** code. When trying to speak with customer ******************** regarding the issue, they kept cutting me off and talking over me while repeating scan the ** code on the window. The entire exchange wouldve been cut short had he even tried to LISTEN to what was being said. The entire company needs to go. With their predatory practices and abhorrent customer service (or lack thereof) they continuously drain everyday consumers of money just to pocket it themselves.

To whom it may concern, unfortunately, we cannot locate customer's vehicle in the system thus we cannot address the issue more personally. It is not our intention to "pocket" anyone's money. We are trying to provide enforcement for the rules established by the community.

My car was booted illegally buy this Merchant and I had no other way for them to release my car than to pay them the price they were asking. I was clearly parked in a spot that was at a residential home and there were no signs that said no parking there. When I entered the property of the residence approximately 5 minutes after that the attendant booted my car illegally. I along with other people are prayed on in that subdivision as soon as you walk away from your parked car they immediately come out of nowhere and put a boot on your car and will not release it to you so you are forced to pay. There are no signs that say you cannot park there when visiting people in that residential area. I asked the attendant to extend ***** and morals by knocking on doors or warning people to move their car before they boot it. This seems to be a scam after I went on their website and saw how they do this on a daily basis just to collect money. This is a scam and they are robbing people who are parking legally in parking spots. Once again this is a residential subdivision when visiting someone that lives in that community there are no signs posted about parking in their driveway or across their grass.

To whom it may concern, vehicle was booted for parking on the lawn/ grass instead of road/ designated guest parking. Photo is attached. Vehicle is parked at a private community. Signs are not required to communicate parking rules as they are communicated directly to residents. It is residents' responsibility to ensure that they and their guest adhere to property parking rules. Vehicle was rightfully booted, and the boot cannot be refunded.

      Customer Answer

Signs should be posted. If someone is delivering to the residence and steps out of their car to deliver inside they should not be booted within 5 minutes of walking away. This company is clearly preying on people to survive. Nothing good comes to businesses like this. A courtesy is always better than taking advantage of people. Now I see what I'm dealing with. I'm clearly not satisfied. However karma is  better than any amount of money that they steal. It will strike. I'm satisfied.

2/19/25. Illegal booting. Stalking, claims she saw me walk into a location not authorized. First of all that is a lie, secondly, its a violation of privacy laws grounded on no basis. The system of Empire parking services encourages predatory booting by rewarding their technicians money per boot.

To whom it may concern, vehicle owner parked in a lot reserved for current patrons of the plaza. One cannot leave the lot without taking their vehicle with them. Violators are booted or towed at owner's expense. Vehicle owner was seen leaving the lot, therefore, immobilized. It is not illegal to observe people in a public setting.

Empire Parking Services (the "Business") operates parking lots throughout *******. The Business operates a particular parking lot at ***********************************. On Feb 10, 2025, I arrived at the parking lot around 11am, and I noticed that the sign displayed at the entrance of the parking lot shows the daily rate is $10. When I paid my parking fee through the online portal provided by the ** code displayed on site, there was only two options in terms of duration of parking -- 1 hr and 12 hrs. I chose 12 hrs and paid $11.20. Although I was confused why they are charging $11.20 instead of $10 displayed at the entrance, I thought it could be the tax and service charge. Therefore I paid my $11.20 and left the premises. I returned to the parking lot around 6:20pm, shocked to find that my car was immobilized. I called the number on the ticket and the Business's employee on site told me that somehow it shows that my parking expired at 1:00pm. I showed him my proof of payment and he refused to remove the booting, saying that there's nothing he can do and I must pay the $75 charge to get my car remobilized. I stated to him that I will file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and potentially in small claim court. He then gave me a phone number for disputes. When I called the number, it does not connect me to anyone. I have attached a file consisting 1) proof of payment of $11.20; 2) a screenshot of the portal showing that customer can only choose to pay for 1hr or 12 hrs; and 3) two signs displayed at each entrance showing the daily rate is $10. I hope you can help me get a refund and take actions to put a stop on this because similar things have happened to other people. Here is a link to the ****** map page of the Business and you can see how other people have suffered from it too. ************************

      - I parked in a parking garage. Every spot around me had a sign that said 20 minute parking or future resident parking, etc. My spot had no sign.- No sign saying a time limit, reserved, I needed to pay, nothing at all. There was a sign right next to my spot that said look for parking spot rules, and I did. There were no signs within 200 feet of my vehicle. I only saw the one 200 feet away from my vehicle, in the opposite direction of the stores for the parking lot after I saw I was booted.- Essentially there is no signage thats even remotely close to being reasonable for this spot. If there was a sign telling me to pay in a spot close to my car. I absolutely would have paid. - That spot used to have a sign according to the tenants. It was a ***** minute parking sign for a restaurant that closed. Had that sign still been up, this wouldnt have been a problem. Had they replaced the sign, it wouldnt have been a problem. That is also why there is no sign anywhere close by to that spot telling you you have to pay, because all of the spots anywhere close to that spot dont require you to pay. - My car gets booted and they force you to pay for the boot to be removed without you being able to talk to anyone or anyone being there. - When the person got there to remove my boot he actually agreed with me that my spot had to signage anywhere close to where you would be expected to see the sign to pay to park and that I shouldnt have been booted.- Ive called the company and they do not answer their phones. I left voicemails, they did not call me back. I submitted a dispute online and all I got three days later was an email saying my car was in violation and they closed the dispute. No explanation, no way to respond, no phone number on the email. Ive called back five more times since and cant get anyone to answer the phone. - I also have videos of the parking lot but it wont let me upload. I would be happy to send them.

To whom it may concern, vehicle parked in a space reserved for a business inside, therefore immobilized. Our technician recognized that the sign is down and checked if the vehicle has at least paid for parking. Vehicle did not pay for parking. Complaint: 22913955

I am rejecting this response because:

Theres no reasonable signage anywhere close to that parking spot or on the way out towards the businesses that says to pay for parking. Thats strategic, because there should be signs in those areas for businesses. You dont need signs to pay anywhere close to those spots if you have the signs up for the businesses. You should put a sign up in that spot with instructions on how to pay. just like every other spot that doesnt have a business sign. It is completely unfair, unreasonable, and a deceptive business practice to trick people into getting booted. You clearly do this regularly according to other complaints online. You should at least admit your lack of reasonable signage and fix it. Look at any of the images I previously submitted (it says they are too big here) and please use reasonable judgement when considering if what you did was fair and just to a client willing to pay if only you had signage stating that and how to pay anywhere close to the spot I was in. I also have a video I would like to share but its too large. It shows that the closest sign to that parking spot saying to pay is over 100 feet in the opposite direction that you would use to walk to the store. You wont call me back and have no way for me to email you on your website. You only have a form which wont allow attachments and which you respond to with a no reply email. I will just plan to come to your office to show it to you since you refuse to face your customers with direct communication outside of through this portal.

      Sincerely,

To whom it may concern, vehicle was booted at a private property. We do not control or require any directional signage around the lot. Thus, we cannot comment on it. We are not trying to "trick" anyone; we are simply given a strict set of rules. The spot is reserved for a particular business, and the customer did not pay for **********************. Additionally, our dispute form does allow attachment. Customer provided attachments in their dispute on our website. Please see a screenshot of our system.

      Complaint: 22913955

I am rejecting this response because:

As previously mentioned, the video I took is too large to upload to your site or this site. See attached screenshot of your site. As you mentioned, if the spot is reserved for a business, there should be a sign stating that. You certainly are tricking people by not having a sign in that spot, though you have a sign in every other spot, and by not having any signage anywhere close on how to pay. Even if I did somehow telepathically know I was supposed to pay, theres no signage close to that spot or in the direction you walk to the shops to know how to pay. Would you like to call me back or email me to discuss directly like a company with reasonable and respectable customer service? I would love to talk directly and email you this video. If not I will still come into your office, I just havent had time yet.

By the way, I failed to previously mention that the man that took the boot off of my car agreed with me that the lack of signage was completely unfair and that I should not have been booted. Even your employees agree that your practices are deceptive and unfair.

      Sincerely,

To whom it may concern, vehicle was parked in retail section of the property. All vehicles must pay for parking at that property. Vehicle owner failed to pay, therefore immobilized. Pay for parking signs are located all around garage, most commonly at the entrance to every "hallway" inside the lot. We are unsure what "no fee zone" customer is referring to because there is no such zone inside the lot. Boots were rightfully placed in accordance with property rules and cannot be refunded.

I am in ****************** (ACS) resident, I live in apartment 618. On the early morning of 1/27/25 an Empire parking services technician placed a boot on my new vehicle, falsely claiming that I was in violation. Late Saturday afternoon 1/25/25, I purchased a new vehicle, a 2024 ************* C 300 sedan with a temporary license tag #******** that was delivered to my residence Saturday evening after business leasing office hours. My new car will replace my current car as a trade-in, a 2023 ************* EQB 250+ license tag ***************************** decal sticker #****. Furthermore, if I would have successfully removed the decal sticker and place it on my new car, I would have gotten a violation notice on my old vehicle because the car would no longer have a authorized decal sticker on it. Attached photos confirm delivery of this vehicle on 1/25/25. I have to wait several days for my tag to reach my registers office in order for me to register my vehicle, this may take up to two weeks. For the time being I was able to have my ************** issue me a temporary parking pass for the new car when the office resumed normal business hours on Monday morning 1/27/25. To whom it may concern, vehicle TN054924 was not registered at the time of immobilization, therefore, it was booted. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do in this case. We are only allowed to look into currently registered vehicles. We do not know any personal information, number of permits assigned to a unit, or which vehicles are associated with a certain person. We are given instructions to boot everyone who is not registered because often people pay for 1 permit, but they are driving 2 vehicles Thus, they end up claiming that it is rental, new vehicle, etc. In cases like this, property's office needs to be notified prior to receiving a vehicle because they are the ones who can verify this information. TN054924 as customer admitted was not registered at the time of immobilization.

To whom it may concern, vehicle owner has filled out a dispute form on our website, thus, we were able to locate the vehicle in the system. The dispute was denied.

Vehicle owner paid for a lot called "****** Grille", but they were booted at a different lot near *******************. Unfortunately, the dispute cannot be approved as the boot was rightfully placed. Payment must be made to correct lot because different people own different lots, and correct lot owners need to be paid for providing parking. We cannot adjust or control any aspect when it comes to parking payment or GPS or lot labeling.
