We paid for parking until 4:56. When we returned at 4 our car was booted. We had to pay $75 online to have the boot removed. The technician said it was a system error. There is no clear way to dispute the charge.Business Response

This company booted my car AFTER parking was paid. They intentionally prey on people, have a laundry list of complaints, 1 star reviews and wear body cams. Yet they still get to operate in the city of *******. Whoever enlists their business in parking lots is a part of the problem. Hard working people should not have to deal with this type of predatory behavior for just parking especially from a private company.Business Response

To whom it may concern, we believe customer is referring to the immobilization of vehicle lpn:PFH9217. Customer registered for ********************** from ******* to ******, then they reregistered at 2:41PM to 3:41PM. In addition to BBB message customer has filled out a dispute form on our website.
Although, there was lapse in the registration, our dispute team has approved a refund for the customer and responded to said approval 4 days ago. A refund was processed on customer's original form of payment and should already reflect on their end!

Had a Visitor pay for maximum time allowed for parking , still was booted , reached out to company to get clarity and /or refund and I got nothing . Filed a claim dispute on their website never got any response , phone number just directs you to receptionist NEVER CAN SPEAK TO A MANAGER, they told me I would get a call back, THREE TIMES I HAVE CALLED BACK FOR A MANAGER and got nothing , even the operator hung up on me once after I asked to be contacted AGAIN , this company has extreme predatory practices and I still have yet to speak to someone in management and/or get a refund . To whom it may concern, unfortunately, we cannot personally review this complaint as the customer did not provide any information regarding their vehicle. We cannot locate any disputes associated with this name, phone number, or email.
Our managers are busy during working hours and generally do not review in-person or over the phone complaints. However, all disputes are reviewed by the management team as long as the customer fills out a form under the "Disputes" tab on our website ******************************.

On Saturday January 4th 2025 we parked in the lot on the corner of ***********************************. The instructions on the sign were to TXT to park and the cost was $12 per hour with a $1 processing fee. We went into ****************** and paid for 2 hours of parking. The parking ticket read 11:14am as the start time and 1:14pm as the end time. I received a text receipt and went on to ****************** for brunch. I was back in the parking lot chatting with a friend who parked beside me and we both received the text message that parking was getting ready to expire at 1:09pm. As we approached the cars both were booted. There is no live person to speak to so we both had to pay the $75. About 45 minutes later the booting technician arrived and that conversation is recorded. We were told that there was only 3 cars that were registered for the lot and they guy showed us on his system. We showed our receipts and was told there must be a glitch in the system. I went online right then while in the parking lot and filed a dispute through the parking lot's system. A seemingly automated email message came to me saying that they investigated the circumstances and determined that my vehicle was in violation and closed my dispute. I don't know how they investigated because the receipts have time stamps. This company is booting fraudulently in hopes that people do not take them to court over $75. Like the technician said to me its a civil case, Empire Parking Services is wrongly charging people. It's just enough to make you mad but too little to take time out of your day to file a suite against them. I will move forward with filing whatever needs to be filed because they are a SCAM.Business Response

To whom it may concern, customer's vehicle was immobilized due to the lack of registration at the time of immobilization. Vehicle's registration was verified at around 11:12AM and it was not registered. Screenshot of the system was taken at the time of immobilization and is attached. Additionally, in their dispute on our website customer has provided a partial receipt. Seemingly, their parking time started at around 11:25 and ended at 12:25PM. Said screenshot is attached as well. Failure to register on time put vehicle in violation, and violators are booted or towed at owner's expense.

I am rejecting this response because: The company is using a screen shot of an earlier time prior to us parking in the lot. We parked the car and immediately did the *** to park option while standing beside the vehicle in order to enter the car's license plate #. we waited in the lot for the rest of our party and walked to breakfast together. There is no way that the boot was placed prior to parking in the lot.

I do not own a vehicle so I rented a car to get groceries and run other errands. I could not park on the street due to no available parking, so I parked in my buildings garage to unload the groceries. This took all of 6 mins, I was in and back out to move the car. I see a booting attendant standing next to my rental and I show him proof that I am a resident and also explain to him that I cant park the car behind the gate of the garage due to it being a rental. He says there is nothing that he can do but that I can dispute it and I should receive my refund. I go ahead and pay the fee and dispute the transaction with proof of residency and also proof that the car is a rental. The site said that a manager would contact me shortly, however I never received a call. 9 days later I receive an email that says that my dispute was denied. This company is NOT supposed to boot residents only guest of residents who are not registered.Business Response

Vehicles must be registered to park in visitor and/or residential area. I was illegally wrongfully booted by this company then made to wait after returning. Attached is the screenshot when I registered for parking for 3 hours at might doctors appointment as well as the timestamp after returned within the 3 hour window with a boot. Vehicle with license plate ******* is not there. According to customer's screenshot, they never completed the checkout process to pay for parking. The first sentence states in red "SELECT REGISTER BUTTON BELOW after reviewing the information". I am rejecting this response because:I followed every instruction listed included hitting register to submit at my doctors appointment. After registering I received the screen that said that Ill receive an email within 10 minutes but I was in the back with my doctor without access to my phone to check if I received the email or not.
The parking is free for 3 hours and not paid. I patronized two separate businesses assigned to the parking lot. I had to wait a hour to have the boot removed. This is predatory behavior.
I know I registered my vehicle.
I will be filing a complaint with city of Atlanta license board as well and well as property management company. Next, Ill be contacting local media.
I would like a full refund.

On November 8, 2024 I parked in a handicap spot in a parking garage. I had a handicap placard and was with my 93 year old mom. When I came out of the restaurant the car was booted and the number that was given to call was a recording telling you how to pay the $75 fine. We had to wait over an hour with my 93 year old mom for someone to come and get the boot off. I feel the company was incredibly insensitive to boot a handicap parking place. I was under the impression if you were in a handicap spot with a handicap placard you were free to park there. I have contacted the company to refund my $75 and they have refused. To whom it may concern, vehicle LKUH64 was parked at a paid lot in a handicap space. The notice about paid parking was also present at the spot. Photo is attached. Failure to pay for parking at a paid lot results in violation. Violators booted or towed at owner's expense. Unfortunately, parking in a handicap space or owning a handicap decal does not exempt one from paying for parking. My cousin car was booted on December 8. The boot agent trying to take advantage of him because he only speaks Spanish charged him 300 because they have to break the boot off. My cousin texted me and I texted the manager and he said that the boot was damaged and the only way they can removed the boot is by breaking it. To whom it may concern, customer drove on their boots which causes severe damage to our equipment. Damaged equipment cannot be taken off and needs to be cut off. Therefore, vehicle was initially charged $150 per boot. After customer paid $300 online to have their boots cut off, our nighttime operations manager was able to remove the boots without cutting them. Said manager notified the dispute team and requested a refund for the customer. Customer was refunded on Monday *****. which is a day after the incident. There is a street parking by my apartment that does not have a no parking sign or any parking restrictions. This company keeps booting cars there and had to remove the boot from my car before for illegally booting me. I am rejecting this response because: That specific area in my photos does not belong to SYNC at Perimeter. I've reached out countless times to confirm this. This is harassment against the residents because of miscommunication between SYNC and EPS. Curbside ON the premises. That area is OFF the premisis. In addition, there is absolutely NO sign saying that you can't park there. That would make the booting invalid.
