I received an email regarding outstanding balance. I quit months ago and now I received an email that I have a debt balance of $667. Thats a lot of money that I cant pay. I cant go thru mywfg because I quit months ago. This is the email that they sent me According to our records, as of 7/19/2023 you have an outstanding debt in the amount of $(-667.29) that was not settled prior to your termination from and still owed to WFG. This balance can increase if there are any additional chargebacks and/or earn reversals processed in future commission cycles. I went to an interview for a financial advisor position then a 125$ background check money was requested to continue when the company worker told me that was about to be it. Later on I continued and had to pay more and more fees and a lot of misleading information is given and they never really explain to you what you are actually doing. I asked and it was told I would be given leads not actually have to find them myself and I would like my information to be removed and my SSN aswell asap.Business Response

I was recruited for a financial literacy coaching job but after copious amounts of research I realize now that I was tricked. The job is pushing people into buying IULs they do not need and/or recruiting a down line to make money off of them. I was not properly educated before I was pressured into paying for the $125 background check during an onboarding meeting. Immediately after I told my recruiter that my payment for the check went through, he sent me an email saying my background check was approved. In my experience, background checks take more than a couple seconds even if they are soft. This company is not what they initially advertise themselves as to recruits. Had I been informed about the companys actual business model and practices, I would have never paid any fees to join. I was duped and preyed upon due to my passion for helping people and my current financial situation. I would like my $125 fee refunded and all of my personal information and credit card information erased from WFGs possession.Business Response

I paid 125$ for a background check that the person told me was refundable. He did not show me any of the guidelines on zoom and just proceeded to continue without explaining anything. I want my complete refund.Business Response

This company is reporting a balance to **********. However, I cannot reach anyone to discuss this matter. I have no idea of the amount or whether I have to ability to make payment arrangements etc. This is an MLM and any number i find I cannot get through the automated system. My direct upline is mostly unresponsive due to personal issues. She does not contact me back and i spend a lot of time chasing her for answers. She will not give me a contact number unless I resign back up with her which i tried to do once but I was deactivated again do to her not doing something she said she would do. The only she will help me find any solution is if I sign back up with her, basically blackmail.Business Response

I was signed on as an agent and was told the fee was $129 which including licensing and this was only a background check I had expressed hesitation and time constraint issues in which I described this probably wasn't the job for me. I was pushed into paying for these courses and then hounded several times a day about Zoom meetings and phone calls to do mock sessions, most of these while I was at my job and would often disrupt my work. I also was pushed to skip through the testing material and just guess when i get to the chapter review as to push to the mock as quickly as possible to study for the exam. Upon reaching the mock and taking the exam multiple times resulting in a bad score due to skipping all the chapter reviews to push towards that mock exam. After gaining actual insights about company, I would not like to be part of WFG. I want is my information removed from WFG as well, especially my SSNBusiness Response

When I was recruited I was charged a $125 background fee which honestly is exorbitant, and I only paid due to increased pressure as I was told that the faster you get your license and start the job, the faster you will get paid. I was also told to see the cost as an investment to the fast money that will be earned afterwards.I was interested because I was told that the clients I would help would be provided by WFG and that I wouldn't have to recruit people unless I wanted to have business partners working with me. But after hearing a few meetings and talking to a recruiter I found out that the company actually strives for each individual to recruit "ten base shop recruits per month(DDR)" and that the clients actually would be acquired through referrals of people I know which just doesn't sound like something I would be comfortable with especially involving my friends and family. Initially I didn't think that the idea of meeting my family members to explain to them the job was something bad but after thinking about it for a while and speaking to them, I found the request to have a family meeting unnecessary and unprofessional. In conclusion this whole situation sounds like a pyramid scheme, and I would like a refund.Business Response
