This is now my second time trying to get a refund from this scam of a "Business". I was coerced into joining with promises of a job I would never get to do. In my initial interview I was sent to a website that I gave all of my personal information including my social, and was charged $125 for seemingly nothing. It was after that, I decided to research this company and discovered I was being played for a fool. It is now multiple months since I left my first review for the company on this site. When the company responded to my review they said my refund would be back in 12 business days at the most. I still have yet to receive my refund almost 30 days later. This is the worst excuse for a "Business" I've ever seen, this company disgusts me. Please give me my refund or at least give me someone who can tell me what's going on.Business Response

I feel as though some things were misrepresented to me. I paid an initial fee of $125 on 2/28/23 to for a background check. Later, I learned some details that I feel the recruiters withheld. Now that I know these details, I know that I would have declined the opportunity. I have found out these details by asking a lot of questions and doing some more research. I feel as though I was hastily thrown into the recruitment process, under the guise that "it is a quick onboard so I could get on the field." But I feel like that just makes it harder to leave. It is important to note that I got some evasive answers when I was asking some questions. Now I know why. I was under the impression that I would be given clients, not that I would need to pitch the company to friends and family. I am happy to help them for free, not sell them a product. I was also promised that it was a low stress environment, but then I realized that there is a heavy encouragement to recruit more people. Also, I thought there would be no fees, but then there was a background fee (which all my previous employers have paid for), a training course fee, and a licensing fee. My main issues is with the misrepresentation that we are educating people, but the real incentive to "educate" is just to build and grow our own team to make more money. I find this unethical. I am happy to help friends and family for free, not sell them a product that will require them to spend more money. I request a refund of the $125 background check, please, and all my information (especially my social security) be deleted. Another thing that didn't sit well with me, is the recruiter filled out the some forms for me, and asked for my social security through a zoom call. One should never have to do that!! And someone else was also in the call. Nobody should ever be put in that position. I put too much trust in the system, but something didn't feel right. One should never have to say their S.S. for someone else to put in a form.Business Response

I was introduced to this agency wanting to see how the business side worked; however, I was not properly informed about the other important information such as exam fee, and annual fees, and the reason for the $125. I joined in around the second week of February (02/09). But there were some issues that didn't sit well with me. For example, the lack of detailed information about topics such as fees for licensing. I had to navigate myself rather than have someone walk me through step by step for everything. I expected that from this type of agency because it's a type of business (investment). I went in with the perception of a welcoming environment but experienced the opposite. I went to try to get a refund and withdraw from the agency, but I couldn't get through anyone of the main phone line. I kept going into circle. I emailed the company but have yet to hear back which bring more concern. I want a refund of the $125 resignation fee. I tried to reach out but have yet to hear back from anyone.Business Response

I am writing this complaint in regards to the *** World Financial Group. This company mentioned has lots of misleading information especially when they are trying to get you on board. They present you a small 10 side show to inform you on the importance of finances and life plan savings. After all that they ask for an upfront fee to join and help spread the world on how to manage your finances. They fail to mention all the other fees that will trickle on you after. My upline knew I was in a tight financial situation and still somehow thought this would be a great opportunity for me knowing all the fees that it includes. Beware!!!! Once you sign up your are somehow railed into now selling life insurance and then recruiting and you only find this after you are deep into. After becoming licensed your never really into selling because then comes more fees like service fee for they're website (Monthly) then also the ** Fees (Monthly). If at any point this was mentioned upfront they're would be way less complaints and people like me would not be joining a company such as ***. On top of all this they let you go all this way with no proper training. I'm about 600 dollars into this company and have no idea of what products I would be selling. All in all it is very difficult being involved with a company that has a deceiving mentality. I don't wish to trick people into joining such company especially when I know they are in a tight place financially. For future reference they tend to say they first represent Transamerica and then when you go around saying it your upline immediately says they don't like to say that. Sounds bogus to me when they are tied hand in hand. I hope that by me writing this out people become more aware that such thing is going around and I would like to avoid you a Huge problem I demand that I at least get my Initial Joining fee of $125.00 dollars and they delete all personal information such as SS, Cell Phone, Email, Spouse Number, Mailing Address.Business Response

What do I do know since I have ************* once again but this company that somehow is legit. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

I began the onboarding process on 2/26 was rushed to sign to WFG by their recruiting agents, who didn't allow me to read any contract that I could get refunded at the time of signing. I was told I had to pay $125 to initially sign up, but after further reviewing the signed documents, there is nothing stating they will not issue a refund. Everything was rushed and I no longer wish to be involved with the company and be associated with a company that has lawsuits amongst countless complaints all for the same reason. I signed up on Sunday and asked for a refund on Monday. I did not agree to monthly fees or annual fees. After being blatantly lied to in my face, I think I made the right choice to walk away within 24 hours and would like my money back ASAP. I also want all of my personally identifiable information (name, social security number, address, phone number, birth date, credit card information and email removed from WFG's systems) along with being reimbursed. Thank youBusiness Response

My mom introduced me to WFG from a desperate situation, and initially, I thought this was the only way to do it. And I did. After the conversation, I felt I could try it because of its legitimacy; I paid the $125 fee and eventually signed up for the agent process. But when I look at the videos of what's it about, something about the structure is a bit concerning, and the design, from what I see in one video of the agent training website, is a scheme; even a friend knew it, and it is not for me.So when I saw an MLM part on the Wikipedia page for this group and the BBB website, I knew this was wrong to pursue; from the beginning, I knew it was a bit fishy in how it presented to me, but I wanted to learn to see it in my own eyes, and not shockingly, it's still not for me, and I paid the fee anyway. I went in, signed in on February 15th, and the *** signed on the next day. It was the way this type of business (a pyramid scheme) is used in a legal manner that I disagreed with. It's legal but not for everyone to try, especially for friends and family. Therefore, not only do I want a refund, but I also request my personal information be out of this system. My agent code is 92SYW.Business Response

I sent the following email (paraphrased to fit) to headquarters and they simply forwarded it to my uplines and refuse to respond to me directly. The uplines who suddenly take forever to respond, refuse to address my concerns, and are dismissive when they do respond. I paid an initial fee of $125 on 2/3/23 to onboard only because of the way employment was represented at the time.I'm now finding out details that I feel the hiring agents withheld, knowing these details would have led to me declining the job opportunity. I would like to note that I've only found out these details through asking probing questions back to back over days because the first answer I get is usually dodgy. Now I know why. I was told that I wouldn't be making cold calls, not that I would have to find clients myself. I was also promised (after voicing my concerns) that it was a low pressure environment, but my uplines keep insisting that I recruit people, invite people to the weekly info meetings, invite people to the conference, etc. Even while going through getting the licensing education course, no one informed me that I would have to pay to take the licensing exam. No one informed me of any other monthly, quarterly, or annual fees associated with being a WFG employee, either. My main issues with the misrepresentations are:1. I informed the *** before onboarding that I have a small social circle and rarely extend beyond it; I work from home, so I have limited interactions with the public, too. This would make it very difficult to recruit people and/or gain clients if that's what's expected of me and/or required for the position.2. Before onboarding and after I made clear that I'm currently strained financially, the *** said all I had to pay was the initial fee and pre-licensing education fee. No mention of any exam fee, E&O costs, or platform fee. This type of deception is appalling and unethical. I request a refund of the $125, please, and then my employment be terminated.Business Response
