In November 2022, I began the onboarding process for WFG. Upon further research, I realized I could not move forward with the company as it was conflict of interest; it was also not initially revealed that I would be a life insurance agent.Ultimately, I needed to do what was best for me which is why I left . I brought this to their attention on several occasions but it was simply disregarded. There is a lot more that I can say and prove about this experience, especially the barrage of rude text messages that followed from my departure but I would rather put this all behind me and continue working towards my goals and dreams. While I received an apology from the agent, it only happened because my upline reached out to them after the rude conversation occurred so I can't say if it was truly genuine or simply done in an attempt to get me to stay. At the end of the day, no one cares more about my success and dreams than me. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, especially if they don't even know you. While I did pass my licensing exam, I never sent in my license to them and never will. The $125 I paid to them should be refunded considering I can't do anything with them. Doesn't make sense for them to profit off of me when I can't be apart of it.I know I made the right choice to leave and a weight has been lifted. Hear this though:I want to terminate my complete relationship with WFG. I want all of my personally identifiable information (name, social security number, address, phone number, birth date, credit card information and email removed from WFG's systems. I was interviewed for a position with this company. I was pressed to pay $125 for a background check which was a lie obviously.So many people are being scammed by this company. I want my refund and all of my personal information given back to me.Business Response

This happened about a week before Christmas I was pressured into paying a $125 fee to become a member and for a background check. They did not tell me beforehand that I had to recruit people to have this job. I was deceived about this main part until after I signed and paid. I want my refund and I have contacted the business multiple times through email they provided with no response from them at all. It been almost 3 weeks already.Business Response

I would like a refund of a registration fee charged by World Financial Group. I paid $146.90 registration fee to this company which I was told is being charged for a background check. I was told that I will be provided a job , not knowing I was being recruited into a pyramid scheme. I would like the company to immediately remove all my private information, cancel my membership, and refund the $146.90 to my payment card on their file. My WFG code is 159HTC.Business Response

12/12/2022 Was told I needed to have a background check to see if I was eligible for possible employment. Paid $125 plus $37.50. Only to later find out I was lied to and the money went to the company that I was being pressured into joining and never gave this guy a clearance to charge for that. 12/15/2022 After declining to join the company as an independent agent, I was repeatedly bombarded and so I agreed to listen to a power point demonstration of what WFG does. I still was hesitant after hearing everything. Upon expressing this, he reassured me that I could get a full refund for the lessons to get my license as well as for the excel testing solution if i changed my mind later. In total it was $155. I said ok that Id pay it knowing if I didnt like it, I would be refunded. The next day, I joined a team meeting. I wasnt a fan of what was being expressed so I reached out to the agent that initially spoke to me and said I wanted to leave. He then set up multiple 1 on 1 meetings over the next 2 days bombarding me with reasons why Id regret leaving and making me feel like I couldnt escape this company. He then set up another meeting with the agent who hired him. This meeting gave me so much anxiety as the other man was so emphatic on why I needed to stay and saying that Im the ideal candidate and just multiple things to try to sway me. I repeatedly said that I had many doubts and didnt think this was for me. The next day I called my agent and said ** leaving, I want a full refund. I hadnt started any of the lessons so I didnt see why there would be any reason to not refund me. He told me hed look into it. 4 days later I hadnt heard from him. I texted him today, whats the update on my refund? He tells me that when he looked into it, theres no refund. Im so upset! I feel like this company is a pyramid scheme fraud! I wish i could get a refund on my time, but I definitely want a refund of my money.Business Response

I was very excited about working with the Native American group within WFG but things did not work out. I feel some discrimination due to my bipolar diagnosis, but nonetheless, I am looking for refunds I paid for both myself and my sister to join WFG with this team. They have been extremely unprofessional and unwilling to help me get these registration fees back. I tried calling every WFG number I could find and nothing led me to getting a refund. A prompt told me that I needed an SMD to call and I was told by my former upline just this morning "they are too busy to be dealing with these things". Today I was forced to put in a dispute with my credit card company for transactions done on 10/5/22 and also on 12/3/22 both for $125 each. It is unfortunate this standout team in the company has been so unprofessional as they have even refused my business, blocked my emails, and are refusing to speak with me. I just want to make sure my disputes are not denied as there was no way at all to get in touch with someone to get my refunds. I was told this business was part-time, instead, I had mandatory meetings that I had to attend during my work day and was told that my workplace matters were not an excuse and not as important as attending these meetings. I really looked forward to representing this team, but I definitely feel like this was deceitful and unprofessional.Business Response

This company is preying on job seekers on the website CareerBuilder. The opening line of their email is "I am a Director of Expansion for Transamerica". This is a deceptive lie. They are nothing more than an insurance agency attempting to sign up new agents. They are not employees of Transamerica and are nothing more than a 3rd party vendor of Transamerica products. The email header is "Fully Remote Financial Consultant - Entry Level - ******************** ************ which in no way indicates to a job seeker that they are trying to recruit you into selling insurance. They claimed my online profile/resume contained the following - (customer service, management, sales, marketing). I'm an accountant with no experience in either customer service, sales or marketing. These people are as shady as they come. They hide behind a generic gmail email address that hides the true identity of of their company. What job seeker wants to have their time wasted by this kind of c*** at a very stressful and uncertain time in their life!Business Response

I was pressured to make a purchase of $125 to WFG by their recruiting agents, who didn't allow me to read any contract or agreement of purchasing (on 11/20/2022). I would like a refund as this transaction was done unethically.
