I recently got sold into spending $125 for a background check by a WFG agent. They didn't allow me time to read the contract (should have known better here). Turns out they are saying you're signing a background check doc but you're signing an agreement to be a sales agent for their product. I want nothing to do with the organization, and I would like a refund immediately. I am also concerned with my personal information including my SSN out there. I would like any and all information regarding me deleted from that database.Business Response

Hello, Saturday the 2nd I was roped and rushed into a zoom call to pay a $125 dollars fee in the spot. The lady over zoom did not inform me of this, and did not allow me to read the agreements and signed my own name for me. She has not messaged me since and I feel that this could have been a scam. On 1/24/24 I paid $125 to WFG for a background check/agent number for what I was told was a business owner opportunity and that I would be provided training to guide me towards becoming an insurance agency owner. I was not told that it was an MLM and that there was an expectation that I would buy the products and sell them to family and friends. In the sales video that they tricked me with they made it seem like they were providing a limitless list of leads using AI technology. As I attended zoom calls there was no training, just more sales pitches. Had I done a deeper dive I would have seen that the reputation of this company is horrible. I don't want to be associated with liars and thieves. I want the money back I gave them because it was a bait and switch. I was desperately looking for work having been unemployed for 8 months, and because of that I fell for the con. I want and need my money back. I contacted WFG about refunding me the $120+ and no one ever called me back or responded to my email. I do not want to be associated with WFG and have requested to have all of my information removed and still no refund and no response.Business Response

Subject: Request for Refund and Removal of Personal Information I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the recent experience I had with the financial service representative job application process. As an applicant, I was initially attracted to the opportunity based on the advertised benefits of health benefits, trading prospects, and the potential for growth in the financial sector.However, I encountered several discrepancies and issues throughout the process that have led me to reassess my interest in pursuing this opportunity further. Firstly, I was asked to pay a $125 fee for a background check, which was unexpected considering the nature of the position and the fact that paid training was initially communicated to me as part of the application process.Additionally, when inquiring about the main company's website, I was informed that it was under construction and was only provided with a link to Transamerica. Subsequently, I received an email from WFG where I discovered further details about the company, including the unexpected $125 fee that was not previously disclosed.Furthermore, the training experience I encountered did not align with my expectations. Instead of receiving comprehensive training to understand the products being offered, I was only granted access to ****** Docs containing scripted instructions on what to say. The training session I attended felt more like a sales pitch rather than an informative session about the products and services.Given these circumstances, I am requesting a full refund of the $125 fee and the removal of my personal information from your system. On October 15, 2023 I paid $165 to WFG after being told I would be able to work with companies that would allow me to work with clients that I was presently working with. What I was told was false. The product I needed was not on the platform. After much researching and asking questions I realized what I had been told was false. And to make matters worse when I told the agent ************************* that onboarded me and her upline about the company I did find, I was verbally abused for letting them know about the opportunity I found. The girl asked if I could talk and I called her and she switched over to her upline ***********************. He went on to tell me I was a snake and that I wasted his time. And he also went on to say " you will never be a success in the financial business. You are a LOSER, LOSER! LOSER!!!" Who in their right mind does that? Unfortunate that this person is smart and also an abusive, unreasonable person. Unfortunate that he recruited someone that was not honest about her needs as I was sharing a product that she needed for her clients as well.I would like all of my money back and would also like to warn people of the immature way business was handled. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE HOW I WAS TREATED. VERBALLY ABUSED. JUVENILE. COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. I have also received several prank calls since this incident.Business Response

I joined WFG in August 1, 2023, and paid a $125 fee. I obtained my life insurance license at the beginning of September and was charged $15 on October 6, 2023 and $15 again on November 12, 2023. I resigned on December 7. In this time frame, I did not make any sales and did not earn any money at all. I ask to be refunded the fees I paid to WFG.Additionally, on December 13, 2023, I was notified of an outstanding debt of $71, which I ask to be exempted from.Business Response
