I am rejecting this response because:

    1. I felt betrayed, within one (1) month of enrolment, Ashworth sent me this Letter to transfer to ***********, The reason why i enrolled with Ashworth was because it states on its website as ASHWORTH "COLLEGE" and not ***************** where teens are attending high school. You have the obligation to inform students that you no longer offer Automotive Technician Program at Ashworth before proceeding with admission.

    2. Immediately after receiving this letter, i sent you an email that i would like to withdraw from this school as i have only completed 8% of the Automotive Technician Program i enrolled in. and the next thing you did was bombarding me with calls asking me to make payments. Kindly go through the CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY in ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT that i signed which states:

I fell behind on my monthly payments due to a family emergency that also hurt me financially. However, whenever I attempted to pay a monthly payment, my account was forwarded to a collection agency, who requested for me to pay the full amount of $1,500. Money that I do not have at the moment due to the problems mentioned above. I attempted to speak to someone but they did not care about what was going on, either you pay the whole amount to the collection agency or you won't get access to the classes. Of course, days turned into months and now it's very difficult to catch up. I understand I fell behind on my payments, it went and hurt my credit so I can't even get another loan to pay for the school. The right think to do is, that the school should've negotiated with me or put me in some kind of payment arrangement. But, they quickly pushed my account off without even carrying, and all the hard work and time I did went straight out the thrash.

Long story short, I applied with this school to do the ************************* certificate program. I received an email August 14, 2022 stating that if I don't send in my High School transcript that my account was going to placed on hold. I replied back to the email ************************************** asking them if my account got suspended will I still be billed for something I couldn't access. Never got an answer. Called asked the same question nothing. Fast forwarding to July 19, ***** at 2:03pm I get a call from them because I was looking to get back into the ************************* because I thought the whole time the first one was canceled because I couldn't get in. The rep went through all the steps to get me back in and I paid the $39 to get the program started. She then tells me that she doesn't see a student ID for me and to call ************ which I called on July 24, 2023 at 8:52am. At that time I explained everything and was transferred back and forth. The last rep I spoke with on that day told me that all the rep should have done during the enrollment was just switch the programs and not have me re-enroll and pay the $39. He put in a request on that day July 24, 2023 and that I should be getting it back. I never heard anything and was checking. The first person that looked into the refund said that I would be getting it shortly. Second rep when I called because never gotten anything said that it was taking longer because of the program. Last rep that I spoke with a month later (literally a month on the dot August 24, 2023 at 3:23pm said she didn't see a refund and that she was going to put it through. She kept me on hold for 5 mins, never came back to let me know what she was doing and the next thing I hear is the survey line asking how was my experience with the agent today. I'm not getting anywhere with them and they think I just have money to be throwing around like that. If it was $10 I wouldn't make a big deal, but $39 I need that back A.S.A.P.

I enrolled on 08/06/2023 in the Bachelor of Psychology program. I realized almost immediately the degree would not serve the purpose for which it was intended. I made multiple attempts to reach student services during the first five days to cancel for the "no questions asked" refund but nobody ever answers. I have no doubt this is deliberate in order to keep students on the hook for the tuition.I figured I might as well begin some of the coursework which was extremely low quality. As of tonight (08/25/2023) I cannot even access the student portal and can't get any tech support.I don't care about getting a refund of the down payment I made. I do not want to pay additional money for a program I was told I could cancel with no questions asked within the first five days, only to have the school purposefully avoid any attempt I made to contact them.In addition to this complaint I will be filing complaints with the ******** **************************** and the accreditation agency with whom Ashworth College holds accreditation.

My 16 year old homeschool student entered the "Landscape and Design" program. We were told it's "self-paced" with "no end date". When I said on the contract it stated and extension and end date they said "not to worry about it" that "it didn't apply to this program". I am rejecting this response because: they just seem to think I send everything as false documentation. People make mistakes as I've said several times.. but yet that isn't allowed to happen here.. how can a certificate with no signature be false documentation. My son, *************************, is a student of their online high school program. Since he is over 18, but under 19, he can collect social security survivor benefits from his deceased father. When we moved to ********** in Jan 2023, he was declined admission to ************************************************* School in ********** and we were referred to ******************************* {DESI], who ** turn, is helping ******* get his diploma through James Madison High School. We have been ** contact with his caseworker at DESI, who ** turn told ** that someone at ************************************************* School, dba Ashworth College, would have to assist ** with this signed form. Both **************** have been trying to get Form **** for Social Security from a representative at James Madison since February 14 and have not had any luck. We have been in contact via telephone and advised to email various places, with zero response. I am filing a complaint of non-compliance for not being able to produce a signed letter as proof of his enrollment with an estimated graduation date.

James Madison High School is an accredited, online,self-paced, 23-credit high school diploma program. Because each student works at his/her own pace, we cannot classify a student as full or part-time. Social Security generally considers a student to be full-time attendance if he/she:

Attends an elementary or secondary level school, as determined by the law of the State or jurisdiction in which the school is located.

Is enrolled in a day or evening non-correspondence course at least 13 weeks in duration.

Is scheduled to attend at the rate of at least 20 hours weekly and carries a subject load considered full-time for day students under the schools
    standards and practices.

One of the benefits of James Madison High Schools program and the reason so many of our students choose our school is the ability to work at their own pace. The flexibility it affords our students does not allow ** to certify our students as attending full-time because each student works independently and at their own individualized pace.

I am rejecting this response because the school is providing generic excuses as to providing Form **** for my son, *************************, to continue to collect his social security survivor benefits.

Being an online school, they have ways of tracking the time that he utilizes their program. Everything from coursework, to exams, to projects that are assigned are within the school portal and in order for ******* to complete these things, he has to log in with internet access. The IT department of this online school has a way to track this information down and even narrow it down to the ** address from where the schoolwork is being completed from. So to say that "it's an online school and it's self paced" is just another way to delay this process instead of doing their job as a school.

Furthermore, the *************** office only requires that he's attending full time AND has a projected graduation date. Surely, there are members of administration that can give a projected graduation date based on his progress, as of today, and estimate when he will be completed with the program if he continues to put in the amount of work he's been doing thus far. Again, this is just another excuse that someone is providing, instead of giving this form to an actual school administrator to complete.

Lastly, the school isn't completing anything on the form. They're merely reviewing the information from page 2 and verifying if the information is correct. I have provided a projected graduation date and should that date come earlier than March of **** then there are additional forms for the school to send back to the *************** Administration to notify them of ********' completion of the program.

I have attached the form that he needs completed by a school official on page 3.

    Sincerely,

    *********************************

If ****************, wishes to take a year break from his studies that is completely fine as the program is self- paced. Complaint: 20080771

I am rejecting this response because the issue at hand is not being addressed whatsoever.

As a graduate of online studies myself, holding a Master's degree in Business, I am fully aware that schools can track the credentials that are being used but do not use that information as it'd be a violation of privacy. Also, even as an online student and in control of your own self-pace, there is opportunity to give a projected graduation date.

To receive survival benefits: The student be enrolled in a school before reaching the age of 19 years and 2 months. Obviously, anybody below that age are considered to be a full time student as they are not of working age. He is below that age requirement and well within the guidelines to be able to collect, the school is once again providing another generic excuse, instead of escalating this to the proper channel.

Furthermore, to not be able to provide a projected graduation date based on his coursework completion and trajectory of what's remaining is escalating my claim to be brought to higher channels until this issue is properly addressed (i.e. form completion). There is a reason that there's an additional page in the form **** that was provided upon graduation and that's to notify ****************************** that the child has graduated secondary schooling, making it unavailable for the child to collect survivor benefits.

Once again, I'm submitting form **** to be completed on page three. I have put the information that was required from ******* on the previous pages and appreciate the help of an administrator in completing page three. If it cannot be done by an 'escalation specialist', surely an administrator or a member of the administrative office can assist with this request.

    Sincerely,

Program: Pharmacy Technician Transaction Type: Payment Date: 04/03/2018 12:08 PM Amount Paid: $749.00. I am an Alumni from Ashworth College. I am writing because I have been demanding a refund since I have been a student with no success. This is due to the lack of engagement from teachers and the fact that I have been unable to find a Pharmacy Technician job though I am certified and finished a internship which counts as experience and Ashworth has career services that have not been of any help to me. I have been getting nothing but rejections from companies though the website states they their program is rated among the top 10 best. I did not request a refund through bbb sooner because I was unaware that I could ask as I was simply asking through my student portal and submitting a ticket and being told no every time though I have not found a job and it has been a few years since I completed the program. I want a refund since I have spent all these years looking for work with no success.

I am rejecting this response because: I understand the agreement I signed. However, I have used the career services to try to find a job after graduating. What will Ashworth College do to further support me in my job search? I have tried for years to find work. Why is your program not helping me to find work? Why do you charge so much money if I cant find work and assure students they will find work with the externship? That is making a false claim.  What will you do to satisfy me as a customer?
