We contacted Stericycle regarding canceling the services initially in March of this year. We have called and emailed over and over again regarding this. They have continued to charge our card even though we canceled, and the driver has not been here since March. You can see where we are running in circles, saying it wasn't processed right, but they would do it, and someone would reach out, and no one ever does, over and over againhorrible customer service. No one ever returned our emails, and they just tried charging our card again. We have finally placed a block on our credit card to prevent further charges but they owe us a significant amount of money.Business Response

I opened a private studio for tattooing almost two years ago and hired stericycle to pick up my sharps. They never came when I was open or when promised even though I confirmed with them over the phone. They also never supplied me what they promised which was a container to put my sharps when they would have picked up. I have tried to cancel but when I call no one answers, Ive emailed and get no response, and I cant log in to look at my account. They continue to charge me and now they have sent my amount to collections. I tried paying but I couldnt log in online to pay so I tried to pay over the phone and it wouldnt let me do that either. They have never held up their end of the deal but charge me for it. I would confirm my hours with them and then show up when I wasnt open, giving me a fine for that too. This business is constantly sending me invoices and final notices and letters saying that they will send to collections for an account that has no association with me. The letter is addressed directly to me and my business, which have no relation to the account they are referring to. I have received countless calls and emails which I have replied to both in person and writing, and they still have not made any change and continue to threaten my business. They continue to use my personal information without my authority and multiple requests to remove my information.Business Response

We are being charged and have been sent to collections for a service that did not occur. Shred-It/Stericycle had already picked up our bins when we moved to a new location. We weren't even at the location any longer. Bins were picked up by Shred-It on September 23 at our old office location. We actually moved on September 14th but Shred-It did not pick up as requested prior to move. Correspondence is attached on the bills and verification the account was closed.Business Response

Stericycle first opened an account for us without our permission. We simply inquired into purchasing services from them, determined we would use another vendor, and never ordered the services. Our inquiry was April ******* Stericycle opened an account for us anyway and started billing us. The services they are billing us for (some sort of chemo services?) have nothing to do with what our company does or what we inquired about. The service we inquired about was a one-time disposal unrelated to chemo, and they signed us up for a monthly chemo subscription.We first attempted to close the account by phone, and received assurances that they would do so.Then months later we would receive collection notices.We requested via email that they close the account, but no response.I called and spoke to a representative on May 14, 2024, and we were issued credits for all open invoices, and assured the account was closed.We then received a collection notice for a new invoice dated 5/18/2024. We followed up by email, and this invoice seems to have been credited, although the company did not respond, simply stopped trying to ***********, in November 2024, they are harassing us for payment of ANOTHER invoice generated June ******* is clear from other complaints that Stericycle behaves like this regularly. The most egregious piece of course was signing us up in the first place when we never even ordered anything from them.We have wasted hours of employee time on our end trying to get this issue resolved with Stericycle directly, and have received no services from this vendor.Business Response

I signed up with Stericycle for medical waste disposal for my medical practice Cactus Rose *********** My service started in May however , the medical waste was not picked up for 2 months. Originally I spoke with my account rep **** ******** in which I was credited for the services missed. However then next month my service was missed again. Late September I placed a request to cancel my service. Since then I have contacted Stericycle twenty plus times or more to cancel my service. At the end of October I was told that my account was canceled however in November I received a new invoice. On 11/11/2024 I was emailed by my account rep **** however no response. I have tired to call him , left several message. On 11/26/2024 I called the main 1800 number for Stericycle . They said my cancellation of my account was denied . As asked to have a new account representative. I have still not been contacted to cancel my account. At this time I am unsure what to do. Here is the most recent reference number ********. I requested cancellation of our contract with Stericycle in June 2024. I received an email confirming the cancellation from ***** ***** dated June 14, 2024. I received no bills until October which was a collection notice. I spoke to ****** and was told that she did not cancel the contract. The gentleman told me he could not cancel my contract but he could put it on as needed basis. I do not want to have a contract with this company at all. I can not speak to a representative on shore. I had an employee not authorized to sign a contract with the company Stericycle and they convinced her to sign a 12 month contract vs being month to month all without my knowledge and the contract they sent her to sign without her knowledge they switched it to a 60 month contract.Business Response

They have been charging us for the past year and have not come to pick up our hazardous waste. We are a dental office and we had an accumulation of flies and bugs around the blood soaked waste. We have been calling them and emailing them for three months requesting to cancel services because they have not shown up. Every time we call they transfer us 100 times and then say a supervisor is not available to cancel the request and that someone will call us. Nobody will return your phone call. Theyve continued to send us bills every single month and have not provided any service for an entire year. They want to send us to collections because they keep adding up the bills, even though theyre providing no services. And theyre refusing to process our request to cancel services with them even though we have no contract. We want service is completely canceled with a zero balance because they have not provided any service for one year and we had to find a new company which we did.Business Response

We have signed a contract with this company to utilize their business since 2013, for terms of 60 or ************************************************ place. Our most recent contract for 36 months was signed in 2021 and has expired. We have requested to terminate our relationship with this company due to their extremely high cost and after numerous errors during 2023 and 2024. They were supposed to pick up medical waste at our facility in October 2024 and after 4 attempts at rescheduling over phone and email during which they assured us the pickup was forthcoming, the pickup never happened. They also missed a pick up in April 2024. Aside from this, our practice needs have changed whereby we are generating less medical waste and therefore we are seeking a company which offers service on demand, which Stericycle does not. Stericycle have informed us that in order to terminate we will have to pay $2000.00 to get out of an alleged contract, which was never sent to us to sign and which we never signed. They offered to maintain our service for a lower price which is still more than double the price of similar services and is a monthly rather than an on demand service. All we want at this point is to terminate our relationship with this company with no termination fees, which we feel is reasonable considering that the contract we signed in 2021 was for 36 months and thus is now expired, and we were never sent a new contract to approve or deny. We are requesting your assistance in terminating our relationship with Stericycle with no fees. Thank you.Business Response
