The company won't have a manager/supervisor call us to deal with giving us a CREDIT for their false claim that we had an extra pick up during the year. We only have quarterly pick *** and we even cancelled the fourth for this year. Yet they will not credit the amount they say we owe - Our non-profit pays them $226.47 four times a year. I had pick ***: 3/20/24, 6/20/24 and 9/19/24 which is a total of THREE. Yet they claim we owe an additional $327.93 which is completely bogus. ******** customer service when we have been customers for almost 30 years.Business Response

We entered into a contract with Stericycle to pick up our medical waste and they are in violation of the contract, they have not picked up from my facility in over a year. I have asked twice for the service to be stopped and they have refused. May 2024 was last time and they did not cancel service. The reason we are cancelling the service because they have not pick up our medical waste in over a year and they continue to bill me. I just go another bill today for another ******. I asked my them to cancel my service. They are horrible.Business Response

DON'T DO IT! This company has been the most inept, unprofessional company that I've ever tried to do business with! In June of 2024, I decided to set service up with them, instead of Sharps by Mail. I arranged for service to start in July. I was told that I would be contacted for the day/time of service. I never was. I had to reach out to them to arrange service (they were quick to take my money though). On the day of supposed service, they didn't show up. After being left waiting, I called and was told that they rescheduled service to a day when I wouldn't be there. Immediately, I recognized that this would not work for me, so I requested a cancellation of my account and a refund, since they never performed service. They initially tried to tell me that I'm not eligible for a refund, as I'm paying for a subscription. Long story short, I kept pressing. I was told that I would be contacted by another department who would facilitate this. It took a freakin month for someone to contact me. She assured me that my account would be cancelled and I would receive my refund within a month. As of 9/30/24, I still have nothing and to boot, I'm still receiving invoices and collection notices! Apparently, it was sent to the collections department, who I've had the unpleasure of emailing with and was told that yes, they've determined that I do qualify for a refund and to sign up for an account on their website again and enter my payment info, so they can issue an electronic refund. If I prefer a mailed check, a $25 fee check fee would apply. I told them hello no, I'm not putting my payment info back in, as clearly, they would have continued to charge me 2 more times (evidenced by the continued invoices) and that they only way I would accept the refund is by check for the full refund of what I paid with no fee taken out. It's been a week now and still no response from them. This company is an absolute joke!Fast forward, I was sent a check for refund and it was returned!!!Business Response

We did sign up with this company for Medical waste removal. but cancelled the next day. we have not received any products from them. the guy showed up last week for the "first" pick-up. I did send him away stating we are not receiving services from Stericycle. PLEASE HELP!!Business Response

Our physician office has been trying to cancel our account with ********************** since 2/2024 due to frequently missed pickups (up to 6 months missed) and monthly OSHA training charges that have been in dispute since 1/2024. We have emailed, called, written letters to cancel during this time and have gotten nowhere with their company. I have received an email stating that our contract would be cancelled but we continue getting collection letters demanding payment for services we did not receive. I cancelled my Stericycle service in January 2024. When I received repeated bills, they claimed my 3 year contract had auto renewed 2 1/2 years prior and I was obligated until Sept. 2024. I foolishly believed them and paid $347.55 on 8/5/2024.Not only did they fail to send me a requested acknowledgement of cancellation, in a recent phone call I was informed that my service had been auto renewed until Sept. 2027.From the 1 star reviews on your website, this company is committing unethical business practices and fraud.Business Response

An ongoing issue with the cancelation of my services. Original email was sent January 2, 2024, with no response from the company. After many phone calls and emails to cancel my services, it was supposedly canceled on May 3, 2024. We still had drivers showing up to our office for waste pick-up. We have been billed for services for an account that was canceled. We recently were sent a collection invoice for $98.62 for a past due amount-we paid it just to not have to hear from them again. November 1, 2024, we get notice that our service has been suspended due to a past due amount of $98.62 and now there is another past due amount that I have no idea where that came from for $715.02. How are they going to suspend a service that we do not currently have? Where is the $715.02 coming from, you can't tell because you cannot see any of the invoices online. Where is the $98.62 that we paid and why are they still trying to collect it. This is one of the most disorganized businesses I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They do not return emails, they place you on hold for an extended amount of time, their billing is shady, you can't access invoices online, they simply to not care and I do not know how they are still in business. There was a previous issue that took several months and 30 emails, a call to corporate to get resolved for a program I never signed up for but was charged for many years but was not aware of till they revamped their website. (Still have not seen any reimbursement for that) I just want to be done with them but they will not go away!!!Business Response

After not picking up my medical waste each time the Stericycle came I continued to pay for my account because I was told that I signed a five-year contract, but over the phone that it was a one year contract. They changed their online profile without a warning that all of the scheduled pick *** were no longer going to be active so after months of paying with no services received, I called to see what happened and was told the online profile changed and I was past due on my auto pay account. I tried to pay it off multiple times but it would never get approved through my account (this is from my banking end) I called multiple times to try to change my account because I was paying too much for what I needed and after not being called back or continued to be put through multiple different hoops Nothing was ever resolved. My account ended up going into collections while waiting for responses so in June I paid off the collections and was told that my account was no longer active that I was no longer going to get charged anything. Come October 2024 I received a bill for $36 And called to say that that was not a valid charge because I already settled what was owed. The woman on the phone said that this charge was from 2023 and that it was a valid charge because it was not paid. I paid what my account balance months after this. I have been told by many colleagues that this business should be reported for how they have been handling my business for multiple years. I am asking that my now charge is completely wiped clean, and ideally the amount that went into collections since I continued to try and pay and settle our business after my first year was up.Business Response

Stericycle is a company that services physicians with discarding hazardous waste and shreding confidential documents. We had a 60 month contract with them since 2018. We have been trying endlessly to cancel the contract and they wont cancel it. We have called them numerous times and written to them multiple times. They keep billing us and sending the bills to the wrong place. The bills even ended up in collection ruining my credit. I want my services cancelled with them. That is all I want from this company and yet they wont cancel it. They have some insane policy about a supervisor being the only one who can cancel the contract. They say a supervisor will call you back within 10 days and one never does. Its been over 6 months of this. How is it possible that we keep getting charged month after month and they wont cancel the services and if I dont pay, its my credit that is getting ruined. I have never had this experience with any company EVER. HOW CAN THEY GET AWAY WITH THIS? This is outright fraud on this company's part!! Please help.Business Response
