      I hired Stericycle to pick up my sharps and they have failed to do so. Theyve made no attempt to contact me to pick up, theyve sent no billing information, and I have not been able to get anything done with them. Ive made four phone calls, all to call centers where English is not their first language. They claimed that they attempted to contact me but thats untrue. They have my mailing address and two phone numbers. I have no correspondence from them for most of 2024. Ive asked them four times to cancel my service and I have no idea if this has actually been done. I refuse to pay for a service that was never rendered by a company who is so apathetic that they cannot be bothered to leave me a voicemail or send a text message. I want any balance with them cancelled and my service with them discontinued. This has not been achievable by phone because they do not pay employees equitably.

      I am filing the complaint for the following reasons:1.Price increase violating the contract.Please see my attachment 1for contract, on the contract it says my price will not increase by more than 7% annually. I received a 7% price increase in my March invoice. I received another 7% price increase in my September invoice, that is a *****% price increase within a year. This is a violation of my contract. I request the second price increase to be reverted.2.False advertising In February 2023 when I first spoke to the agent to renew my contract, (agent name *******, ********), she stated that the price increase COULD be 7%, its not a guaranteed 7% increase, and the contract is also adjustable when I do receive my price increase. Please see attachment 2 email communication page 2. On October 2nd 2024 when I called Stericycle customer service, the agent clearly stated to me that they are certain the price will go up at the full cap. This is clearly a false advertisement by ******** ******* to try to sell contract by making false promises. I did try to reach out to ******** about the price increase on October 2ND 2024 and I receive no response. 3.Poor communication I have first received my September invoice early October, I called the customer service immediately on October ********, requesting to speak to someone about my contract, I didnt hear back from anyone. On October 8TH I emailed the Customer-************************************ requesting to speak to someone, I didnt hear back from them either. On October 17th, I emailed Customer-************************************ again, stated my issues and made it clear that I am going to file a complaint. Today is October 21st, I still havent hear back from anyone from this company.

      I have tried for months to close my Stericycle account and keep being given reference numbers, and being told they will rewch back out to me. I have asked multiple times to close the account while I am on the phone and they have been unable to. I contacted the person I spoke to when opening my account and when he contacted customer support, i received an email saying my request to close the account has been received and that they opened a NEW account for me. I still have not heard back regarding my inquiry into those emails. I have contacted them at least 6 separate times over the last 3 months.

      Stericycle is a ******************************* We are contracted with them to pickup our medical wastes every other Tuesday (ever two weeks). They have not been picking up on the scheduled service dates and we keep calling to get them to come out. This charges us an extra fee/cost when it's not our scheduled dates. They last picked up on Sept. 3rd, then we had to call to get them here for Sept. 26. That was their last pickup they have done for us. I have called again (6th time calling and complaining about services). They will not be back to pickup for us until Oct.22. They were supposed to be here on Oct. 8th. Still they didn't show up! This is medical waste (bodily wastes/fat) that cannot stay here. They are making this a medical hazard to our office/staff members. It's not right that we are paying over $800 a month for services and they aren't picking up our medical wastes. We continue to call and complain about this. Nothing has changed. If we cancel our contract then we get charged an outrageous amount (several thousand to cancel). We need help!

      We have been utilizing Stericycle for our Medical Waste pickup for over a year. We requested to cancel our account with them on 7/11/2024. I was told a retentions specialist would reach out to us to cancel our account. I did not hear from anyone and sent multiple emails to our account manager. I had to reach out and request to speak to a supervisor in September. The supervisor connected me with ******, one of the retention specialists and he ensured me this would be taken care of but they were having a system error. We have continued to be billed from Stericycle and their collections team is sending emails with a balance of $548.81. ****** told me this would be taken care of once the account was cancelled. I have reached out and left multiple voicemails to no avail.

      During the pandemic in 2020 I signed up with this company for a 2 year contract of monthly pickups. After a year they had picked up 3 times, but kept charging me $165.44 per month. When I said I had to let go of my employees and my business had changed bc of post-pandemic problems, they refused to let me out of my contract and said I "couldn't afford it." No other solution was given. I paid them over $1000 for those 3 pickups to just pay it off, and they restarted charging me despite my repeated requests to stop. They said the only thing they could do was do once every 3 month pickups, which I was fine with except they said they'd only do it if I signed a new 2 year contract. Is said no, and they have continued to charge me and now say I owe $2800 despite having only picked up medical waste 3 times. This company now refuses to respond to me and sent the bill to a collections agency. I have emailed Stericycle refusing to pay and explaining why and they won't respond except to say, "your request is complete." However it says on the agency bill that the services will continue once I make payment. I am refusing to make payments at this time. I feel this company is predatory.

      I canceled my account and paid my final bill in February, 2024. Ever since then, I have been sent bill after bill. Received call after call. Have been sent email after email. Have been sent collection letter after collection letter. It is now 7 months later and the bill increases with every passing day. I have called many many times trying to resolve this and they assure me that it has been taken care of. Yet, nothing changes. I have already contacted the previous attorney that handled Stericyle's last class action lawsuit and told them to come and look at the more than 160 complaints that this company has received in the last 12 months. We all seem to have the same complaint. This has to stop. We have all been harassed, they have wasted countless hours of my time, I've been woken up to harassing phone calls early in the morning, my business credit report has been harmed. I do not *** this company any money, even they said it themselves, it is clear as day in their system from February 2024. But yet, here we are. I feel sorry for other businesses unaware, that they are going to be trapped should they want to cancel.

      After multiple attempts to cancel this service due to Stericycle's unwillingness to address our complaints, we receive late notices and past due notices for a service that we have been trying to cancel for six months. We have been trying to cancel their service since about March of this year. I have made repeated calls and inquiries online to resolve this issue and get no help. Stericycle has been double and triple billing our company for the same service. They have not provided the service contracted and seem unwilling to resolve our issues. They are not providing us service anymore, and continue to send us past due and overdue notices despite having customer service people saying that our accounts are closed. My most recent correspondence indicates that they have not canceled our one account, nor the two ghost accounts. This feel very much like harassment and we are not sure what we can do about this. In May of this year, I was finally told I needed to send in a cancellation letter, which I did. I have had no response to that letter. I have a large stack of notes on these calls and emails with them, and no response.

      I have had an email contact with Stericycle dated 10/15/2024. Stericycle created credit for the invoice in question and said that there is a zero-balance due.

      But due to the past communication history that I have had and provided in my original complaint with Stericycle, I will not be able to say with confidence that this issue is resolved until I receive confirmation that all the associated accounts have been closed with zero due balances.

      Date of Transaction September, 2024 ********************* has not started it's business and no services is rendered from Stericycle but Stericycle continue to bill my company. I tried to cancel/ terminate my contract with Stericycle several times but they continue to bill me. I was informed that I have a wait period for 2 months which I cannot handle those bills anymore. Please help me cancel the contract and cancel the bills not rendered. Thank you

      I did not use any of their services because I don't need it. Yesterday I receive a letter from a collection agency. My request is to cancel my bill because I did not use their services.

      Stericycle created a new account back in July and has been billing us for it since. They are now threatening to send us to collections. This is for the Marin County Jail which we already have service for. That account is paid in full. I have explained to at least 6 people that we do not and have never had a jail located at *************************, which they started billing for services back in July 2024 (account ***********. They keep telling me that this account is for our 2nd jail, which does not exist. I want this account canceled/deleted and all charges to be credited. They cannot bill us for a location we do not have or services that were never provided. The last person I spoke with said our dental assistant and one of our nurses set up this account. They both deny creating new accounts, nor are they authorized to do so. I have attached the invoices which they have been sending. We are paying them $3,224.02 for services located at the jail, ********************************************** under our existing account #**********. I will attach copies of invoices for both accounts. I wish to cancel all service with Stericycle, the false account as well as the existing account as this is an unscrupulous company and should be sanctioned for their shady business practices. Their phone numbers do not work and customer service is the worst!

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I have not received any correspondence or call back from Stericycle proving these issues have been resolved. They sent an email stating they had resolved the issue, but provide no explanation as to the actual resolution. I received a voicemail message regarding my request to cancel all services from an associate of Stericycle, but when I call back there is no answer and I never receive a call back within business hours.

      Until I have some form of detailed proof in writing from Stericycle that all issues have been resolved, this case remains open.
