      I bought a Groupon for a local business on 11/30/23. I called the business on 12/19/23 to make an appointment to use my Groupon and the business had a message that said they had closed permanently because of unforeseen reasons and to contact Groupon for a refund. I contacted Groupon through the customer service chat on their app and requested a refund on 12/19/23. I received a response from them on 12/20/23 stating: We have checked the merchant account and we can see within the last 30 days, this merchant has honored 15 vouchers, the last voucher honored by this merchant was on Dec 13, 2023, so we can confirm this merchant is open and honoring vouchers. In this case, please reach out to this merchant using the contact information: (xxx) xxx-xxxx and mention your voucher. In the meantime my daughter requested a refund at the same time for the same vendor and was refunded immediately. I then contacted them again on Jan 1st through their contact form on their app and referenced my daughters refund referral # asking for them to reconsider my refund request. ********************* responded and gave me 3 options: I can offer the following options for you to choose from here.ref:!00D800Khmy.!500Uj02lJpH:ref Of which I immediately responded and chose option for a refund. Today 1/12/24 I get an email response stating: Thank you for reaching out to us and for bringing the matter regarding your recent purchase to our attention. We acknowledge your desire for a refund, and we genuinely understand your disappointment stemming from this situation.However, I must regretfully inform you that the designated "Cooling off period" within which refund processing is viable has lapsed. As stipulated by our policy, we are regrettably unable to facilitate a refund or accept a return under these prevailing circumstances.So yes, if a business stalls long enough, you will exceed that cooling off period. This should be illegal!! Bad business Groupon!!

      Do not buy from them ever!They just want to take your money.From the moment I bought the Groupon the business does not answer the phone, I had no way to redeem the Groupon, after a few days the business does not let you use Groupon, tells you to cancel the purchase and then Groupon does not answer and does not want to help you cancel!I purchased for $180 and they are not willing to refund me.The worst customer service I have ever received!!Do not buy anything from them!!!I have never been treated so disrespectfully.Terrible experience!!I want my money back!

      Made a claim with Groupon within the cool off period to cancel a purchase and they have procrastinated nearly a month, so now saying it's to late to cancel. They do not understand written English in what I'm telling them in emails and very hard to work with. Suggestion to not order with Groupon unless you are 100% certain that the Groupon you ordered can and will be used.

      I have been trying to get 2 expired orders refunded to my Groupon Bucks to use on other Groupon items.They do not respond to my emails and I can't chat online because they do not provide a send button to answer them. I have sent them Four emails explaining that I am 67 and was in an auto accident. I couldn't use the 2 groupons for Cozy Maid at $50.15 each or $100.30. I will use the money on something else so they are not losing money.They claim their phone line is not in use due to covid which ended 2 years ago.

      Do not stand by behind products sold on their website. Bought a service that was not performed as purchased. Requested my money back and was told I was outside of the "cooling period". Which was 4 days prior.

      I am a small business owner and their customer service runs you around in circles. You get links for things that you have aleady done online and no answers to the questions and concerns for your business. SAD, BUT TRUE. I valued them, at one time when they valued their businesses who supported them. Now, not so much. I should not have to go from "chat to chat" online answering the same questions to download their mobile APP. Then, they end the chat before the problem is resolved. SERIOUSLY?!? I still don't have a resolution to the problem...MY BUSINESS WILL NOT BE USING THEM IN THE FUTURE! PLUS- WE WILL LOSE ALL THE MONEY FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE PURCHASED GROUPONS TO OUR BUISNESS BECAUSE THEY CAN NOT SUPPORT THE BUSINESSES WHO SUPPORT GROUPON! (And, as a reputable business owner, if a client shows a groupon to us that they purchased before 1/7/2024, we will honor that purchase business according to our policies. WE VALUE EVERY CUSTOMER, ******************** DOES NOT!

      Another scammed customer! After purchasing from ********************** app a Priority Pass for airport lounges, the acknowledged company links and codes did not work. Two separate customer service help chats led me to nowhere. After requesting a refund their representative denied it due to merchant stipulation and ended anymore of his assistance dropping my chat. Within twenty minutes, my money was taken without any services rendered. How sad, that this company wont act reputable. You cannot sustain a business model on poor customer service & refusing refunds when **************** are not obtained. This is not the first time, but it will be the last for me to be scammed on Groupon goods. Buyers beware and steer clear of these true SHYSTERS!

      I purchased an offer with them which would give me discount in some water activities in *****. When me and my family got there we realized that the company who was offering the services was not giving us a good deal so we decided to not use the vouchers. I purchased those since October the 27th (because you plane vacation ahead of time) and was in ***** by the end of December for ***. Now that I got back and I want to cancel I was told that I cant because apparently their new policy gives you only 3 days to cancel a purchase. First off how am I supposed to check certain things within 3 days!? Second why do you give people 4 months available to use those vouchers but only 3 days to cancel!? If you give me 4 months means that I have all that time to change my mind for a reason or another. Something might happen and i might not be even going to that place anymore, you keeping my money!??? For what. Where are they going!??? Its not that I scheduled an appointment somewhere and that person waited for me and lost another business because of me. There is no reservation no where, just GROUPON taking out money and keeping them in case if we are not able to report that within 3 days. And again, they updated those info in their policy cuz I have cancelled with them in the past without any issue even after 3 days (back in 2020 and 2021). I have never put any complaint in ny life, I work in **************** for 13 years and I know how it is to deal with complaints also I know how you need to treat a customer and they dont. I was chatting with their support agent ***************V to whom I exactly told him ( I am about to file a complaint with BBB let me know if you can do anything else before I do that) and all he did was telling me that he has already told me that the request to cancel its over 3 days and he will need to close the chat. And he did that. WAY to disrespectful and thats what ****** me more honestly. But I need this to get resolved because they cant just get away

      DO NOT BUY. Like everyone else is saying, Groupon has changed their refund policy. Now, if a merchant refuses to honor the Groupon (for ANY creatively interpreted fine print), Groupon will not refund you (even if you tried to use the Groupon promptly). Groupon is basically selling fake (unusable) gift certificates. Chat support promises to escalate tickets etc., but no one will actually reach out and no support tickets are made. Groupon should state that all Groupons are non-refundable even if the merchant refuses to deliver the services or products. ...you're basically buying a worthless, non-refundable piece of paper. Frankly, I thought this was illegal.

      Be careful ya'll... purchased a Groupon in November. I have called the merchant numerous times to try to schedule as required in fine print. They have only called me back one time out of the many times I have called. I cannot get an appointment as they keep telling me the doctor is in another state and not available. I asked Groupon for a refund or credit for this and they refuse to help.Tip for consumers:Make sure the business will take the Groupon prior to making the purchase because Groupon will not help you get a refund when company will not schedule an appt.
