We were hit in a car accident May5th, 2023. We were found not a fault, the driver who has Infinity/Kemper insurance was found at fault. Kemper had us put our car to an adjuster and then to the auto shop to have it fixed. The auto shop gave a supplemental adjustment, so Kemper called the car a total loss. They were suppose to contact us to get the amount they would pay so we can buy a new car. We have reached out many times, and had to leave messages, no return calls. were going on three months, I reported them to the ca department or insurance, and they still will not call us.Business Response

Id like to make a complaint against my insurance company since they havent issued the damage estimate to the people ( the repair facility ) who fixed my vehicle.Date of loss : May 21, 2023 Claim #************ An inspector and appraiser showed up The shop had fixed some hail damages and other small things from the same day of the incident so the adjuster had me make another claim for that Claim #*********** At this point the shop had sent all documents including photos/videos and their required estimated four times already . And me contacting two of the adjusters for updates about my case Kemper insurance have only sent three separately checks of less than $500 dollars when the shop required estimated is $4,247.82 . July 7th I was side swiped in my Vehicle (2015 *** Mini ******) by *************************** in his 2008 white ***** ************* ****** came and I provided dash cam video of the accident and ******************** was found at fault. I have been working with ************************* and *********************** from Kemper (infinity) insurance, and since the beginning of working with them I have been continuously told contradicting and inconsistent information.When I first opened the claim I was instructed to send over pictures, videos and any other documentation in relation to the accident. I was then told I would be given a initial estimate using those photos. The first initial estimate given did not include all the damage that was reported on the police report or that was shown in the pictures I provided ($257.55), ****************** and *************** then explained to me that someone will come out to examine the car and give a full estimate. A few days later I was contacted by **************** and was told that someone will not come out to inspect the car unless it is in active repair, going against what I was told previously. He then did another estimate which still left out damage that was received to my vehicle from the accident on July 7th ($668.48). I asked him why is this damage not being considered in the estimate he said "with his expert experience and doing this all day and every day he concluded that the damage I sustained was there previously and was not caused by the accident".I then contacted the ******* Office of Insurance Regulation to complain of the exclusion of damages received to my car that are outlined in the dash cam, police report, and estimate I obtained through a certified ***/Mini ****** repair shop. Per F.I.R Kemper replied "Infinity writes an initial repair estimate from the photos but during repairs, they work with the repair facility (body shop) to update the estimate for additional damages". I am now being told that all damages will not be covered if deemed not accident related.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:They are lying stating my car was inspected in person. I asked numerous times for a person to come and inspect the car and was denied. I was told the car would only be inspected in person if the car was in active repair. I agreed to those terms and called to setup arrangements for the car to be repaired but was told that all damaged outlined in police report and dash cam would not be acknowledged because it was deemed not accident related. Also I filed a complaint with ******* insurance commission and it contradicts the response they gave BBB. Also I told the woman I was working with to not send out any payment until we agree upon a settlement which she agreed too, any payment they sent will not be cashed.
Recordings of these conversations should be on record being Kemper records the calls I ask that all calls be pulled and listened to and for Kemper to provide proof of this so called "in person inspection".

I am rejecting this response because:I spoke with the appraiser the very next day, while I was still on vacation as you can see by my phone records. I told him before we move forward with the appraisal the response from kemper to the BBB needs to be corrected. They stated falsely in the previous response that I received payment , the car was inspected in person, and the wrong date was listed (they had 2022 vs 2023). They only addressed one incorrect item in this response, I spoke with the manager ****** who gave her word that she would correct those mistakes and make it known in the response to the BBB which has yet to be done. I trusted her word and contacted the appraiser for the car to be inspected before actually seeing the response as I initially intended. I attempted to call several times to set this up but was unable to get a hold of the appraiser, I then emailed Sucel informing her of this (which is attached to this response), after that I was then contacted by the appraiser.
Please be honest in your next response and correct all the "mistakes" (lies) from the previous response.

I am rejecting this response because: I am not at fault for this car accident. Their insured ran the light into incoming traffic. The pictures of my vehicle clearly shows that my vehicle gets hit on the left and the impact shifts the whole bumper to the extreme right.
I had the green light.
I had the right of way.
The insured T-Bone me.
On top of it the Adjuster for the Claim ******************************* did not even call or write to explain to me of Kemper's decision with thier offer of the 70 percent.
This claim has been mishandled from the beginning.
This has become a burden for me having to pay insurance now for 2 months on a vehicle I can not use.
In addition my vehicle has had more repairs done which makes the value of the vehicle higher; one of Kempers representative mentioned to me that I needed to let them know about that. .
My attempts to reach *******************************, ***** **************************** which is the Supervisor of them both and including *****************************;has either been impossible or extremely hard. Example, No response at all from ******* or ******. In order to reach; ************** had to call another representative to leave him a message. As far as *******, he called me to say that Kemper was ready for me to give them ***************** over the vehicle. I said I have not heard from ****** on this. ******* then told me that ****** was supposed to have reached to me their decision.
I then attempted to reach ****** to no avail. The same happened with ***** and ******* since then.
I see that Kemper has treated this claim unfairly. And has failed to explained of their decision in a timely manner with complete details. Details, that I explained above on how the damage happened. Including pictures of both vehicles.
I am writing to you in Good Faith as a Consumer.

I rejected the first response by Kemper due to them not even supplying the picture evidence that tells the story of what happened.Today, August 17 of 2023, i, :**************************** :******* hereby reject their (Kemper) offer due to the fact and that now Kemper is lying to both the BBB and me by saying in the second paragraph that I with my vehicle impacted the REAR side of the their Insured's vehicle.
"In the ****************, we adhere to the principle of comparative negligence. This means that in
the event of an accident, the responsibility and/or negligence of each party are determined based
on their individual contributions to the occurrence of the accident. While our insured's negligence
was the immediate cause, it's important to recognize that everyone bears a responsibility for
exercising due care. In this particular scenario, ******************, the claimant, collided with the rear
door of our insured vehicle. This implies that our insured vehicle had already cleared the
intersection when the collision occurred."This type of wrongful information and willful desire to prolong my waiting on them to fix what their insured provokedhas made me spent precious time.
I have spent on car insurance for no reason.
Kemper has provoked anxiety in my life unnecessarily.
Now they have written lies about what side of the vehicle was affected.
I seek them to completely cover the cost to fix the car and not blame for anything.

My home was broken into on June 26, 2023. I filed a police report and listed the stolen items and provided everything to the 2 different representatives asked me to. However, they accused me of altering the photos, even though my hair is different in all of them, different backgrounds and states and not to mention I lost ************************************************************ of taking all the photos on the same day. I sent the photos as a JPEG as it is one of the file formats that will include metadata and they are still saying they cannot see the photos (which is a lie) and are denying my claim. This company should be ashamed of what they are doing to people day in and day out. My home was burglarized, violated by a criminal(s) with EVERY SINGLE SENTIMENTAL and VALUABLE ITEM STOLEN and yet I am being violated again by Kemper. Profits over people should be their slogan. My claim was denied by *********************** and ************************* after my home was burglarized on 6/26/2023. They claim to not have received the photos I sent from multiple devices and multiple formats. I just find it suspiciously ironic that they cannot open the photos, despite an Apple Support Technician taken remote control of my phone and formatted the photos correctly so I can email it to them. Its mighty convenient that they cannot view the photos so my claim can be denied.
And Id like to add that both representatives went on vacation back to back which has delayed this process much longer than it should have. Why take someones claim and then go on vacation 2 days later? Theyre both extremely slow in responding to emails, the never answer the phone and never call back.
My family and I home was broken into. Items that were sentimental and monetarily valuable are GONE. That experience was bad and traumatic enough. But to then be given the run around, accused of altering photos (which is a lie), this whole experience with Kemper is truly disgusting and sad. Not only for me but for my family as well!

My car was vandalized along with 2 other vehicles in my apartment complex, feb 19,2023 around 2 or 3 pm the neighbors came to see if I seen anyone around her car which was parked next to my car , I I told her no and then I walked out to see her car and noticed my hood and trunk was open as well as my door so I called 911 an officer came out and took a report which while we were waiting for an officer to come out the neighbor across from me cones out and says she seen this happen to our cars. So when police arrived we took the officer to the witnesses door so she could explain what she seen. The next day my home health aid helped me call my insurance due to a disability I am unstable at times due to medication. To make a long story kemper had my car from march investigating and came up with the conclusion my car was damaged prior to this vandalism which is not true because on feb 15,th I had my car at *** of ****** dealership to get a oil change and was told if my motor had water in the oil they would have made a note of that. Please help because Ive been pushed around by this company and feel discriminated against because Im disabled and unable to defend myself. They told me gas water sludge and metal was found in my motor. I told them I had my brother in law come after the police came to see if he could see if anything was put into my motor since while the police was their she advised me to move the car to a stall where my blink camera would be able to see it from my door , when I started the car it was so loud we though it was the Catalytic converter but was unsure because we never worked in a auto shop, it was unknown the loud sound its all in the police report. It was a lady officer and we couldnt see underneath the car. On feb 15 I took my car into ************* to get a service and nothing was found in my oil which lead me to believe this was done to my car February 19th 2023.

Purchase Commercial Insurance because I drive for LYFT. Today, I contacted kemper to refer a friend. They informed me that they no longer issue Commercial insurance. They person that issue my original policy was notified that I seeking coverage for lyft. As I renewed it year I thought I had the same insurance. She informed me that I only had 3 months left. I had a car accident on 1/24/23 in which I was rear-ended by a Kemper Insurance client. They admitted their client was at fault and after much back & forth my car was put into the shop. Kemper paid for several damages, but one of the main pieces of damage, the rear bumper, was not replaced. After much runaround, they had me send more pictures and basically file again for the new bumper. In the end, they declined the bumper and decided not to speak to me without any reason. I understand they may not like me personally, but their client caused damage to my car and they are not covering that damage. I am rejecting this response because: before the accident that Kemper's client caused, the bumper was not discolored with crease marks - due to the result of the rear end accident the bumper was damaged beyond repair as it is discolored with crease marks as shown in the attached.Furthermore, this is the first explanation I have received with the reason for only repairing the bumper and not replacing. The accident happened in January **** and it took BBB to intervene six months later to understand what is going on with my claim. The claim handler, *******************************, absolutely stalled throughout, did not respond to emails and voicemails, gave no explanation for declining my claims, attacked me verbally and took a personal vendetta against me as a person to deny my claim with no explanation. He was completely unprofessional with no urgency and lacks serious training on dealing with humans and knowledge on the Kemper process.
The simple matter is that the bumper still has cosmetic damages as shown in the pictures. These visible damages did not exist before the accident and were cause in direct result of the REAR END accident caused by Kemper's client, and will need to be replaced in full. It is not a matter of preference or functionality, it is a matter of making my vehicle the way it was prior to the rear end accident, which was cause by Kemper's client.

I am rejecting this response because:ID # ********- ******************** Corporation Hi BBB, This complaint should not be closed. I was not given the chance to respond to the insurance company's claims about a previous accident. First, the damage in question is on the left side of my bumper and Kemper references the right side. Second, those damages were fixed in full at ************* here in ****** and I have the receipts to prove it. Third, this was a major accident with three cars involved and my child in the car. Lastly, this is a matter of making the bumper like it was before the accident since I had it repaired and fixed in full before I was rear-ended by Kemper's client. My apologies for responding late, but this matter is not resolved as you have an insurance company hiding behind a previous accident and not paying for the damages their client caused. Do I need to take legal action since it does not seem BBB is on my side fighting for the consumer here? I am rejecting this response because:1. Kemper's client caused damage to the left side of my bumper, which continues to be discolored from the accident and needs to be replaced. Kemper continues to specify damages on the right side of my bumper, which was fixed Summer of 2022 as the receipt from ************* shows.
2. My bumper was brand new at the time of the accident as shown by the receipt from ************* where it was fixed in full the summer of 2022 before the accident with Kemper's client took place on January 24, 2023
3. The damages Kemper mentions that were visible on June 14, 2023 are the damages from their client hitting my vehicle on January 24, 2023 - these damages that Kemper points out are in fact the damages that require a new bumper as cited by Kemper in their last response.
4. Please provide evidence that an appraiser inspected my vehicle on June 14, ***************** the last response
Here are the facts and timeline:
August-September 2022 --> Rav4 Bumper replaced at ************* - 100% repaired and new
January 24, 2023 --> Kemper's client causes three car accident with damage to the left side of my Rav4 bumper
Present Day --> While admitting responsibility for the accident and that there is still damage to my bumper, Kemper continues to deny my claim
BBB - please help here, someone needs to step in as the fault is clear and would be clear in any court
