      I applied for a job through CareerBuilder and without my consent, they have shared my personal information with EVERYONE. I'm getting scam emails and inquiries I'm not interested in (e.g. companies trying to get me to franchise). I have gone through the steps to delete my account, but ********************** refuses to take it down.

      I have had a look in our system and I can confirm that there is no longer any account active on ********************** under the email address you have provided: ********************* There was an account active previously, created on 07/10/2015, but as I mentioned that account is no longer active and is Deleted. 
       
      Unfortunately, if you have applied on another platform linked from CareerBuilder or your information has been retrieved by an employer and saved locally while your profile was active, we are not able to delete that information from their systems. You would want to contact them directly with your request to be removed from their systems and to stop contacting you.

      I am rejecting this response because: This is not true that my info has been removed.  Because I was unable to get it down, I changed my name to "****" in the profile and uploaded a black resume.  I received the attached this morning that means that it is still there.  You're claim that you had my consent to post my information publicly on your website is also false.  All I did was make the mistake of applying for a job through your website, which I'm surprised employers still bother with.

      I have unsubscribed many times from CareerBuilder and they relentlessly keep spamming my email box. I'm trying so hard to get a new job before my current job lays me off and they're fake jobs and email spamming isn't helping. The links on their website lead to unsecured 3rd party sites that also spam my email box. I've been trying to clean this up for weeks and it won't stop.

      I want this company to delete my account from the platform. Within 24 hours of me joining, I got a massive amount of junk emails, phishing emails and texts. I know EXACTLY who has my phone number, and this was never happening in two months of my job search until I joined here. It's exhausting. Even though I asked to opt out of job invites, I get them ALL the time, including the Career Builder newsletters I never asked for. This job site has fallen off completely. Monster and CB used to be the go-tos in my twenties. CB is now worse than Indeed with the exorbitant amount of spam. I'm about to start using a separate email address because it's getting to be too difficult to be removed. You can't even click "delete my account" without it taking you to a whole other page that has nothing to do with deleting an account. Instead it gives you all these other choices to avoid deleting an account. I purposely left my phone number out of this complaint so they can't sell it (if they haven't already).

      I am rejecting this response because this is absolutely false. First, I did have a job account on **********************. Not only did I have an account on there (before I shut it down shortly after filing this complaint), but I even got a newsletter with a bunch of unrelated jobs afterward. I have already changed my phone number because of the exhaustive number of spam texts. And I'm not surprised that as soon as I changed my phone number, even though my number and email was listed on several other job sites, ALL of the spam emails stopped. And the way to shut down your CareerBuilder account is peculiar. You cannot shut it down directly. You have to send a message to ask for it to be shut down. And instead of creating a ticket or anything to show that the website comprehended you wanted your account to be closed, it just logs you out and then acts like you were never there. You don't even get an email confirming your account was closed. I don't know why CareerBuilder is so bad now. It used to be such a reputable site. Now it's a camping ground for job hackers and spammers.

      We signed a contract for pay per applicant. Applicants submitted are bogus. Company says it is out of its control who applies and if there is scamming software, it is not their doing. However, they are the only ones who benefit from pay per applicant.

      On numerous occasions, I have applied for jobs through CareerBuilders for at home data entry jobs. The last 4 jobs have been scams where the last one took almost $3,000 from my account. I started looking for at home jobs on this website since November of this year (2023) and have gotten several job offers. This website should screen companies offering jobs more closely to make sure people don't get scammed. The companies they are claiming to be with are real companies, but the checks they send out are not real.

      I had set up a month to month contract with Careerbuilder. I decided to cancel the contract as the product was not beneficial to my business. I was able to cancel per the terms of the month to month contract. Careerbuilder kept billing me even after I canceled. I finally reached a person that acknowledged I should not have been continued to be billed. However, I still receive threatening emails every month that they are sending me to collections. I need the harrassment to stop.

      On August 9, 2023 I put in a request to have all of my information deleted from Career Builder and unsubscribed from all email campaigns. Over the past 3 days, I've received 4 emails from Career Builder. I haven't applied for any positions anywhere. I'm currently employed. I submitted a complaint two weeks ago for ****************** LLC for spam employment emails. BBB closed the complaint. As soon as that complaint was closed I started receiving emails from Career Builder. I've attached the screenshot of the request to unsubcribe from all campaigns and to delete my information from Career Builder. If they reply stating I entered information on another website, they are LYING.

      Career builder allowed several fake entities to mask as job opportunities. Due to their lack of security, my personal information was provided to all of these fake entities including my phone number address email, Ive requested the company to delete my personal information and my account. The company has not done that. *** called in attempting to get my account deleted I was told no and theres no ETA on them deleting any information of mine. I have been harassed outside of the legal timeframe on a company reaching out the entities reaching out, are claiming they got my information from career builder regarding job opportunities I did not apply for. These entities have asked me to deposit money into my account just to leave me negative theyve asked me to download an additional app to communicate with them on along with several fake interviews. *** asked several times for this to stop to the point where now I have to move and change all of my personal information.
