    Their customer service is absolutely atrocious. They refuse to cancel orders that they auto select for you. Even though I canceled within the window, they say that I have to cancel by 12:00 on Central time. I cancel a 10:40 in central time on a Friday and I'm not allowed to cancel. Mind you this is an order that I selected nothing of and food. I'm honestly not very interested in eating. It's extremely overpriced. I haven't yet had an order from them but I'm betting when they send it. It will be the wrong order because that's what a lot of the folks are saying here. Just avoid it. This this company is no good.

    So much for contacting ***************** ************ from ********************** **************** emailed me today telling me maybe I should take a break from Home Chef. I was also sent instructions how to cancel my Home Chef subscription. All I want is for them to send me the recipe cards showing me how to cook this food. I guess I have to quit Home Chef. It seems they dont want me as a customer anymore because I contact them every time they forget to put 1, 2 or 3 missing recipe cards in with my weekly order. And this has happened almost weekly for the past few months. (I am being told they are not required to send me instruction sheets. But, I cant cook, and I dont want my phone close to where I cook, the words are too small to read easily, and the phone turns off all of the time, and I dont have a printer). I am dependent on these hard copy instruction sheets. (I had years of great service. But for the past few monthswow! Now they want me to quit their service just because I want them to send the recipe sheets with the expensive boxes of food they send me every week.

    Meals are not what I ordered. When asked online to substitute something. They sent me nothing instead of the substitute I asked for. Holy shit! Home Chef has alot of very bad reviews. The God's need to shut these people down before they kill someone!

    The food that was sent in the one and only box I bought and will ever was cooked in the microwave. The pulled pork was busted open. If you read the ingredients on the yellowfish- IT stuff states farm raised fish; yet there is Over 5 kinds of fish! The shrimp was in a paper bag and hot. The meal we chose to cook was awful. I was afraid to feed to my family.It all went in the trash.

    They don't care about the customers. They don't care about quality. All they care about is the bottom line. They constantly send wrong items or missing items. When you call customer support, the majority of the time they have a pleasant voice but do nothing to address your concerns apart from apologize. Their delivery service is horrible as well.

    Horrible product, service and quality!!! I tried to cancel membership, ran into problems, which I think is designed. The service needs some modifications-too many cooling and stationary packs that decrease eas of disposal. The quality was subpar-the vegetables were rancid, smelly and poorly packed.

    This customer service manager *******, working for Home Chef is EXTREMELY rude and condescending. I called to complain about receiving produce that was spoiled multiple times, and receiving boxes of food with 80% or more of the ice melted, hinting to me that my boxes have been sitting. I also complained because the delivery service that they use, on multiple occasions, have left my food boxes outside of my apartment building, even though my delivery instructions clearly outlined to ring the doorbell and leave the boxes inside of my apartment so they will not be stolen. I have called and complained about this problem on numerous occasions, just for them to tell me they have no record of any of my complaints. Instead of being helpful and offering compensation for these inconveniences on their end, I was met with ******* who was extremely condescending when speaking to me, talking over me, and he refused to alleviate the problem. Instead of simply compensating my account for the spoiled produce he wanted to argue that my boxes do not sit and that i have not received boxes with melted ice, that clearly shows signs of sitting. He literally argued that, that was not the case. Even though he had never physically seen the boxes I had received in the past. This was he WORST customer service from a Manager I have ever experienced. It is solely because of his rude communication and his unwillingness to believe the customer, that I will never use this service again. Lastly, when I asked him to confirm his name at the end of the conversation he hung up on me. If you would like to experience terrible customer service, then by all means use this service.

    This company has deceptive email practices. I signed up with a coupon and then immediately cancelled my account so that I didnt have to pay the additional $70 for another 3 meals. The next week a meal kit arrived. When I reviewed the cancellation email it said that I had to call to cancel the next weeks kit even though I had just cancelled my account. These email practices are deceptive and unethical.

    I have consistently received kits with ingredients that have already gone bad, or with ingredients' juices spilled out into other bags, or dented cans. When attempting to delete my account, I have been given the run around. They overcharge and under deliver. That's how they're most consistent.

    Slimy service. Send orders even after you skip or cancel your subscription and then won't refund in full.
