    Logged in to check the menu options after cancelling years ago, repaused my subscription as they didnt have a plan that met my dietary needs. Just checked a credit card I dont use and find that they have sent weekly boxes of varying $ amounts to a home that was sold in 2021. Reaching someone at the company is nearly impossible. I dont even live in that state. So frustrating.

    Ive used this service for the last several weeks and have been consistently dissatisfied. The meals themselves are decent when they are shipped fresh and do not spoil, but the worst is my experience with their automatic spend my money without my permission business model and their horrible customer service. **********************, if not told otherwise, will automatically send boxes of food you did not order every week and have no option to cancel only postpone. The most infuriating thing is you may order a small box of 4 meals that are quick and cheap and your automatic box will choose, pay, and ship literal filet mignon and 6 other meals that are overpriced and clearly either their most expensive or their least desirable options. And when contacted their customer service is rude and unhelpful, so much so when I requested they stopped sending me orders they only delayed my shipment and charged another 100+ dollar order the next week. Which might I add are non refundable.

    You cannot view their site without signing up with a payment method. I entered in my payment method and they signed me up to be charged on Friday for my first order(this was Monday). After looking through the site I decided against it, so I attempted to deactivate my account. This led to one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. If you attempt to deactivate your account they instead pause it. If you want to fully deactivate your account you have to make a support ticket that might take 3-5 business days to be resolve. Their hope here is that you don't want to go through this labor and forget about your subscription so they can charge you again. Fast forward to Friday, even with my account paused they charged me anyways because you need to cancel that particular order manually. Their support might be willing to refund you, but you better catch them early because once it ships it's too late. Finally you cannot remove any of your information from your account without their support. Your payment method and address are both stuck on their site. This company has very bad business practices and I would not recommend using them.

    Company requires creating an account before you can see any of its food choices. Once you have created the account, there is no way to cancel the first order, even if there is nothing you want. Food choices were terrible.

    The meals were quite tasty. Some were cumbersome, as they tended to use many different pots, pans, etc. Clearly, whoever made the recipes doesn't have to clean up! I'm an experienced cook having raised two boys that are grown now. some of the steps were ridiculous.Further, they are packaged horribly (unsafe). The meats were not sandwiched between the ice packs. The meats on top were warm and brown by delivery. I tossed one protein each week that I subscribed. I finally cancelled the service. I worked in food for 3 decades; Home Chef's packaging is downright dangerous to the consumer. Those meats need to stay under 40 degrees.

    I cancelled my subscription 2 years ago. Today I found a box at my porch from Home Chef, which I did not order. I called Home Chef and they stated they reactivated my subscription (without my consent) and already charged my credit card. After an unpleasant discussion they reimbursed half of the money back to my credit card and due to my insistence they claimed to had deleted my credit card information from their records although the email I got from them says my account was "paused" again. Bottom line, once you provide your credit card number to Home Chef you are liable to be billed for meals at any time as they do not give full refunds neither do they accept returns. This is a horrible business practice.

    I cancelled my subscription through customer service 6 months and assumed it was taken care of. Last week I was charged and sent meals without my knowledge or having reactivated or unpaused the account myself. I see that many people have had the same issue. Disappointing business practices going on here.

    The food is delicious, if you can get it fresh. Literally every single order theyve sent to me has had rotten produce and/or rotten meat. They dont even remotely pack these boxes adequately for shipping in warm weather. A couple measly ice packs on the bottom, with the food stacked on top of each other. Only the food closest to the ice packs stays cold. Everything else ends up warm and smelling terrible. Its been a huge waste of money, never using them again.

    I got one box from Home Chef and immediately called for a refund and to terminate my subscription. Food arrived spoiled and rotting, and they didnt provide recipe cards for all of the meals. I switched from a different meal kit service for similar reasons. Frankly, none of these meal kit services provide the service they advertise. **************** tried to save me as a customer, but having my very first order screwed up so bad was just unacceptable! At least other services waited till the fifth or sixth box to start s******* me over.

    Home Chef has sent me and billed me for orders when my account it paused. If I go onto the website to look at the menu, they automatically send me food I would never even have chosen and bill me. This has happened 3 times. Each time I look to verify that my account is paused before I log off. I have been refunded each time, but it is extremely frustrating and wasteful since my family will not eat what was sent. Needless to say, I have FINALLY learned my ****** and won't ever visit their website again.
