    Enjoyed this service when we lived in **. Unfortunately we restarted delivery in ******** and had delivery problems. Home chef refunded money but customer service could only take down information and forward. No response is going to be forthcoming as per their process. So they arent interested in contact to let me know if problem is resolved. Therefore the only course of action is to terminate relationship. Too bad. The food is good and we are still ready to resubscribe. If only they wanted to. PS they are not sorry to hear about our experience as they write so many times in reviews below.

    I can't speak to the quality of their food, as I canceled before my first delivery. Home Chef advertises $60 off your first few orders while you're setting up an account, but once your account is made and they have all your information the discount is dropped to $45 with no explanation. Deceptive business practices.

    Having tried other meal services, I have to say Home Chef is the best so far. While they have made errors with my meals, they always compensate me when I call in to let them know. Obviously, I'd prefer no errors, but the fact that they try to make it right says a lot. I took away one star for the errors and for the fact that their "plus" options are overpriced. Other than that, the service has been great.

    Terrible food delivery service. My first meal was over 24 hours late and warm when it arrived. It's unnecessarily difficult to cancel/deactivate service and, when you try to, they pause the subscription (i.e., retain your financial information/account). I've had to contact them multiple times trying to get my account canceled.

    Shady. I looked at this company probably a year ago to begin a subscription, but decided it was not worth it. I believed I had cancelled the account entirely. Last month I was charged a $90 subscription fee. I contacted the company to complain. I was given a refund and told my account was cancelled. I was charged another $90 today! There is absolutely no way to cancel through the website, and they don't cancel through customer service either, apparently. STEER CLEAR

    I have ordered home chef for 3 years plus every week, minimum 3 dinners a week, and they have goon downhill fast. We loved them for the first 2 years but the meals have changed drastically. All of out favorite recipes are a thing of the past. Recently they had meals created by ******************* and they were absolutely disgusting. I rate the meals and have called customer service constantly to report and suggest they go back to their tried and true meals but it falls on deaf ears. Its not worth my breath at this *********% of the time the potatoes arrive spoiled. I have skipped the last 3 weeks and am ready to cancel my subscription all together. They have lost my trust and loyalty. Also noticed they are rarely available to purchase at most Krogers. Seems like they should go back and evaluate the changes they made.

    We really enjoyed homechef the first few weeks but then our orders were constantly wrong and meals were always missing most of the ingredients. I was told my account would be deactivated, per my request, however I continue to be charged weekly. It is impossible to cancel this subscription. Dont ever use this service.

    Not only does Home Chef send spoiled produce repeatedly, they stand by it and defend the quality of ingredients. Gross!!!! And as others have said, good luck getting your account cancelled. Ive requested it several times only to be ignored by customer service. They refuse to delete your credit card info. AVOID THIS BIZ AT ALL COSTS!!!!

    Ive been a Home Chef customer for a month. That is four weeks of meals. The first two weeks the box with my food was damaged and they couldnt deliver it. The third week, they sent the wrong ingredients and only partial ingredients. The 4th week, they sent an email that they ran out of ingredients and there would be a 2 day delay. *** never worked with a company where *** experienced so many problems. I give them 2 stars because they do give refunds very quickly when there is a problem, however, I shouldnt have a problem every single week. They are highly untrustworthy in regards to delivering their products on time and correctly.

    Joining in the stream of reviews of customers who found it difficult, if not impossible to cancel their account. As many have said, Home Chef advertises that after sign-up customers can cancel anytime, HOWEVER, there's no option to actually cancel or delete your account -- only to pause orders. I paused my subscription, assuming that to be sufficient, only to be proved incorrected when I was charged several weeks later. Have struggling to get ahold of a live support agent, and insisting I wanted all my information removed from their system - I believe my account was successfully deleted. However, I am wary this is the case. In short, this is a fishy cancelation system and I would not recommend to anyone.
