I have been a RN-*** online student at Chamberlain since July 2021. I have a previous bachelors degree from the University of ********** and completed my RN degree at a local college. When I started at Chamberlain, I received transfer credits for my RN degree and courses that matched the Chamberlain curriculum. I was told by my advisor at the time that I would only need to take NINE courses: 7 nursing courses, one English course, and one history course. I completed those nine courses, with the last most recently during the March 2023 session. I was in contact with an advisor on Friday, May 12 regarding my grade for my last course not being posted on my degree audit. I was reassured that once the grade had posted, I had met all of the graduation and degree requirements for the *** at Chamberlain and my degree would be conferred. This morning, I completed a degree audit and now have 3 more credits needed before I can graduate. I dont understand how this has happened, as Ive run several degree audits to track my progress and this has never come up. My advisor has been changed several times, and Ive spoken to numerous advisors and created support cases due to other issues Ive had with the university. I have had to call several times and wait on hold for ridiculous amounts of time to speak with anyone. Many of my support cases have been closed without ever having spoken to anyone. At this point, I am at my **** end and frustrated with Chamberlain. I have paid for this expensive degree out of pocket and have not been treated like I am a student who matters. I have scheduled an appointment with my new advisor to discuss why I wasnt notified at any point during my time at Chamberlain that I would need to take another course. I will not be taking another course at this school.

****************** contacted Academic Advising on May 12, 2023, to notify Chamberlain that her DegreeWorks plan had changed and was now incorrect. The Academic Advising team reviewed the students account in DegreeWorks and identified the discrepancy regarding NR435.  This 5 credit-hour class was not counted towards her degree even though she had completed the course. The Chamberlain ********* Services team reviewed the escalated case, which resulted in all degree requirements being met.  Ms. ******** degree has been confirmed and has been awarded as of May 19, 2023.

Chamberlain apologizes for longer than normal call times. During the past few months, the advising team has been experiencing very high hold times. A review of the RN/BSN advising team found that there were no hold times longer than 8 minutes for the entire March 2023 session.   Additionally, the Chamberlain ELS team has closed cases without contacting the students due to staffing challenges.  Chamberlain has implemented a plan for improving customer service to its students due to its current challenges.

May 8, 2023 was the first day of class at Chamberlain University for this quarter. During this class (NR511), I was going to have to start practicum hours (125 in 8 weeks) while also doing my classwork. Chamberlain does not find you preceptors, so I had to find my own and filled out an application explaining where and who I would be working with. All Chamberlain has to do is approve my application and register me for my class, but it is now Wednesday and neither has happened. They said they are short staffed and therefore behind with approving applications. Also, since I wasnt registered, I was denied the access to my class 1 week before it started, which is my right as a student, and I could have gotten ahead. At this point, Im 9 days behind in this class, which for an 8-week class, is completely unacceptable and puts me at a significant disadvantage. I have called Chamberlain over 15 times in the last 10 days, with an average wait time of an hour, and all they have told me is that "There's nothing else you can do, I have expedited it to management, and all we can do is wait." My options now are to either sit out for 2 months or start my class already far behind. To put this into perspective, pushing my graduation date 2 months will cost me $20,000 in lost wages. Chamberlains actions must be penalized, and those students need to be compensated for being forced to push their graduation date.

I am a student in the *** program in the Nurse Educator track. I obtained my RN to BSN from Chamberlain as well. I was so pleased with my educational experience that continuing was not a problem. I am now down to my last 2 classes, both practicums, and it has turned into a nightmare. I have been trying to register for these classes for months. I have sent emails. I have placed several calls, and waited on hold for ***** minutes at a time just to be told nothing. Getting generic answers that my application would be completed in a few days only to wait a few days and get told the same thing over again. Ive been approved for a class that doesnt start until July, but not the class that started 2 days ago. No one can tell me what the hold up is. No word from ELC they have been sent several emails from myself and student services begging for help or information. Blaming staffing issues is not acceptable either. They are nurses dealing with nurses. Our time is valuable. It is very disappointing the lack of communication and information from Chamberlain. As if they dont care about what the delay means for me as a student. I will not reapply to complete my DNP here.

We (NP students) are struggling to get cleared for practicum in a timely matter. I had my application submitted months ago for NR 578 and ELC barley started working on my application within the last month. I have waited well over an hour trying to get through via telephone, and emails are not answered as well. Class started yesterday on 5/8/2023 with a deadline registration of 5/12/2023. I received an email this morning from ELC stating that my practicum site requires a 2-step PPD and will not except a blood test or a one step PPD. Unfortunately, this is a 14 day turnaround before I can get the results. Due to the unprofessionalism and delay on Chamberlain University. I will now have to sit out for the next eight weeks delaying graduation and now losing my future preceptor. There are many of ** students who are experiencing lack of support and communication from Chamberlain during the last five sessions. They lack basic human respect of communication and lack remorse for the repercussions that are placed upon **.The process of handling the practicum applications is inefficient.Albeit applications are submitted within time constraints, they are not processed expeditiously causing students obligatorily sitting out a session which results in further delay of graduation and financial hardship. As I read the previous complaints, I am extremely disappointed in Chamberlains response to those students. Insufficient staff is not a good enough excuse to set ** back in graduation. However, it is nice to see that they are able to respond to students, unfortunately it is through the BBB website. Do better Chamberlain, you are harming your students.

I have been a student at chamberlain in the family nurse practitioner program. This is the second time my practicum experience has been delayed by no fault of my own. My courses are complete with adequate grade, tuition paid, and all documents submitted according to the timeline. The *** team is supposed to approve practicum applications and then register for courses. This has continued to be delayed with numerous excuses, continuously told that the problem was escalated and that I would be enrolled in my course in which was to being today 5.8.23 which did not happen. Ive called emailed and get no response. Waited on hold today 3hours to be hung up on by the staff after they stated that I should relax and be patient. This is not a response or excuse, the school should be timely in their job and look for success of the students. I pay good money to attend the school and nurse practitioner students pay an additional $450 per session for APN resource fee. What is the resource Im paying for? The excuse of ************. is not my issue. I pay for the service and I should receive it in a timely manner. My academics should not be delayed due to the fault of the school. This hinders my current finances, my success in my practice, and delays my career. I shouldnt have to call a school over and over to in order to get them to complete their tasks. My documents were submitted on time and they had over the required 120 days to review the information and still did not.

I am an FNP student at Chamberlain University. I have been having terrible experience with communication and requirements needed in order to proceed with the program. I have been in contact with ELC (Experiencial Learning Coordinator) and Academic Advising as well in regards to approving all of the requirements that I have submitted via a different vendor (*******). The instructions are clear and when you ask ELC what else is needed to do, they would give you a different instruction as if the different staff they have all have different directions to give **. I has becoming frustrating as I have taken a leave of absence at my professional job in lieu of the anticipation of starting my Practicum. I am unable to get a hold of anyone in this organization and have come across rude employees such as ****** stating that I do not need to call back and when asked to speak with her supervisor, she stated that I cannot. This has affected my professional, financial, and personal life because of the incompetent staff they have in this organization. The students have done their due diligence but Chamberlain University has not done their part in helping students at all. It seems like all they care about is getting tuition from students and then after that, they do not care anymore if the students pass or fail. Please help me with reaching out to this organization and take the responsibility and accountability in what they are doing with the current students that are struggling with finding help from them who promised and that have gave ** the assurance in the beginning.

I have been dropped from my NR 602 course. I was under the impression that I was in the clear for my conditional enrollment as I have been in contact with ELC and they are awaiting official clearance from the site.the terms of the conditional enrollment seem to be unclear as it stated that I need to submit everything on my end which I have done, As a student I have no control over the people working on my site approval and this adds extra stress especially since I have done everything asked of me PROMPTLY, especially since I am at the same site I have been at since starting practicum, which I am assuming that nothing changes other than the preceptor and maybe the contract dates. It is also unprofessional to have the phone system to allow someone to choose to speak to ELC only to find out once waiting on hold for hours that you can only speak to academic advising, which is not helpful for this situation as they have no control in approving a site or giving further details about what is stopping the process from moving forward. When I submit request online I request to have someone call my phone but no one ever does. I do not want to communicate via email as once a message is sent I still have to wait days or weeks to possibly get a reply. This is unacceptable as classes start on Monday and this is the 3rd class that this has happened. I have 2 more classes until program completion and can not risk not being able to complete the program as scheduled due to something out of my control when everything that is asked of me.

I have been going back and forth with filing a complaint. I decided today that action needs to be taken so the scams can stop. I received an email from this school on 4/4/23 denying my application for a clinical site 3 weeks before clinical. I ended up escalating this matter and it was resolved. I had a clinical site pending, I emailed on 4/24/23 about what I can do to help speed this process up. I received an email saying there isn't anything on my end and they will contact me. Then not even two days later after I sent the email I received another response on 4/26/23 saying that a contract needs to be made and how they attempted to contact ********. I sent a support request back asking who are they contacting and I also can help reach out to the site to help get it approved. No response. Then I received an email on 5/4/23 dropping me from my course. I called the school and ******* stated that I will receive an email from the *** detailing why. They decided two days before the start of the session to inform me when I spoke to my preceptor on Wednesday and could have helped. Then I asked to speak to the *** she stated that the department that is supposed to help us is suspended. How are we supposed to get help with needs when the department that is supposed to help is suspended? I asked to escalate this matter she stated that there is no one else higher to escalate. This is after I told them I was finally able to find a preceptor to take me after an intensive search, emailing, and calling for this session only. I also requested help finding a preceptor after I had a hard time finding one, they emailed saying basically they cannot help with partial requests and no answer doesn't mean no. Yes, it does me no when you left voice messages and emails and they do not respond to the request. They alter facts to fit their agenda. Another thing they prompt is helping students find a match when you first apply after 5 failed attempts they don't even help which is a lie. Avoid

I have attended Chamberlain University since 2021. I am currently in the process of completing my masters degree, however their Experiential Learning Coordination is so poorly run and they are required to review and approve our practicum sites for clinical rotations. They do not answer phones, answer emails or call you back. I submitted my practicum in February to start in July. I have not heard a single thing about whether it is approved. I will have to sit out another semester if they do not approve it, or if they deny it, it will not leave me enough time to find a new one because they take so long. All they want is your money but will not provide access to the education.

I am a student at Chamberlain University enrolled in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. I am scheduled to graduate September 2023. I have 2-8 week classes left and for each class I am expected to find my own provider willing to precept me for 8 weeks and submit an application for this clinical site/preceptor. I found a preceptor through a company and paid $2000 for the preceptor. The next class for said preceptor is scheduled to begin in 9 days and Chamberlain has not approved the clinical site and I have not been registered for the next class. I have sat on hold for hours at a time to speak to someone regarding this issue only to be told that "they are working on it and hope to have everyone registered and sites approved on time". I have spoken with numerous other students that are in the same situation as me and many have had to sit out a session or start late, weeks behind all other students yet still expected to complete the same amount of work and 125 hours of clinicals on time. Many students have not graduated on time and therefore have lost potential wages as an FNP. The level of concern for students placed in these situations is minimal at best. Never have I experienced a "higher education institute" being run so poorly.
