On Saturday, August 12, 2023, I purchased a parking pass for a *********, ** garage through Parkwhiz.com.The money was taken from my account on Monday, August 14, 2023.On Friday, September 15th I attempted to redeem the parking pass, but the pass was not valid. The parking attendant told me that the garage didn't accept ANY prepaid parking passes.I would like a refund, and I believe this company is doing fraudulent business.Thank you!

      Hi ****,

We are sorry for the inconvenience!

While *********** with the garages and lots, we do not own them and sometimes the attendants take it upon themselves to enforce 'rules' that aren't correct.  Your pass was valid and should have been accepted.  However, because it wasn't and you provided proof you paid at the exact same location again, we have gone ahead and refunded your initial pass for $27.50.  While we release the funds immediately, depending on your bank it can take 3-5 days for it to hit your account.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience as well as the slow response from our Support team - our volume higher than usual lately.

      Thank you,

      The ParkWhiz Team

On Saturday, Aug 19, I attended an event that I had pre-paid a parking fee of $50. When i arrived, the parking attendant informed me that I should not have paid for parking because I have a disabled veteran plate. She told me to reach out to customer service for a refund. I sent an email that same day. I received a reply asking if i was given any documentation and i replied that I had not, but attached links to the parking facilities policy on disabled veteran parking. I kept going back and forth with Park whiz where they seemed like they were going to help and then I never heard anything. I then filed a claim with PayPal and then Park whiz reached out to try and resolve the issue. I was confident that it would be resolved so I closed the case with PayPal only to now be ignored. I was asked for a picture of my license plate and have heard nothing since that email. I now wish I never would have sent a picture of my license plate. I have attached copies of all the emails. I just want my $50 back.

I purchased parking for an event months in advance, and everything was fine. The day of the event they reach out via email to let me know that the parking garage I paid for a reserved spot in, is no longer available. They then offered to reaccommodate me to another parking garage near the venue. A few hours later another email comes, stating that this is no longer happening and that the reservation is now fully cancelled. I contact them via their customer service line and they state that the parking garage reached out to them and let them know due to an "issue" the parking garage is no longer available. I then had to make another reservation for double the price. I was upset about this so I contacted the parking garage and they stated they do not know why the parking company cancelled and they are currently unaware of any issues causing them to close down a whole ********* then called ParkWhiz back and explained that I think some kind of scam or something fishy is happening and relayed what the garage has told me. They did not take kindly to the acquisitions and starting telling me that they are not scamming people. The thing is they are scamming people. If they cancelled the original booking, came up with an excuse to why it is cancelled and then make me pay double at another garage then they are scamming people. They are cancelling cheaper rates on the day of an event, knowing people have to pay higher rates at another location to attend the events so they do not loose out on the money they have already paid. I originally paid $40 months ago and today suddenly I'm paying $65 with such short notice. They then send emails to save face about helping you out but then do not honor the emails in writing and they are making and placing blame on the parking garages. The parking garage is not closed according to the owners of the garage, so why lie? They are lying and not providing valid reasons to get people to pay more. Scam, con artists at work.

      Hi ***,

We are sorry for the inconvenience!

While we do provide parking services, *********** with the owners of the garages and lots and have no affiliation with them outside of that.  We did in fact receive communication from the garage you initially reserved your space at letting us know they couldn't accommodate your reservation due to a lack of space - not that the entire garage was being shut down.  We apologize for any miscommunication and we are in no way trying to scam people.

It looks like your initial pass was refunded back to you and the second was cancelled also resulting in a refund.  With that, for the inconvenience caused I've also added $30 of credit to your account to be used at any time over the next year.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help.

      Thank you,

ParkWhiz pre-sold me a parking spot for an event, but the parking garage was closed for entry at the time of arrival. I have spent over 2 months requesting a refund, sent emails almost daily, and am getting no response.

On 9/12/23, I parked in the Edgehill lot in ********* with ParkWhiz and purchased 2 hours. I received no notifications to extend my time. I have included images showing that my car was booted at 16 minutes past the time with no options offered to extend my parking time. I had to pay almost $90 to get the boot removed. This is clearly a volume scam on the boot application as the enforcement officer simply sits in the car and waits for folks time to expire. He walked up to me with a card reader in hand. When I asked why there were no other options, the attendant indicated that the signs were clearly placed at each entrance, but no signs about the boot are posted by the scan code to pay for parking. I have attached pictures. When I asked why I did not receive a notification to extend my parking time like many other lots in *********, the attendant told me to check my email. I have the email which shows no option to extend time. No notifications are included in the email. No notifications were received. Instead, I ended up paying ~$100 to park here for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Lastly, I have included images of the sign placement at the entrance from ***************. That entrance is on an uphill slope into this lot turning off the street. With the tree limbs, turn and entrance, this sign is obscured. I only saw this after going back across the street to ask the manager at restaurant for help. After I called ParkWhiz 3 times and received the mailbox full message, I ended up paying this fee. This is like robbery to me as there are simply better ways to run a business. Apex Parking Enforcement will claim that ParkWhiz owns the lot, but both of these groups are at fault.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/20/2023

      HI ****,

      We apologize for the inconvenience!

While ParkWhiz is the parking provider at that lot, I can assure you that ParkWhiz does not own any lots or garages - we *************** with the owners & managers of said lots.  This lot in particular is owned and managed by Peak Parking who contracted ParkWhiz to provide parking and contracted with Apex Parking Enforcement to provide the enforcement solution.  ParkWhiz has no affiliation with nor receives any money from any citation or boot that Apex Enforcement collects.

As we mentioned previously, because we are not the enforcement solution, we do not receive any money that is paid to release a boot, etc.  Therefore, we are unable to refund you the money you request.  I can, however, offer you a $50 credit that can be used anytime you use the ParkWhiz app for up to a year.

Please let me know if you'd like me to proceed with that credit.

      Thank you,

      The ParkWhiz Team

I purchased tickets to see a comedian on the TicketMaster app. The app offered me the option to add on a parking pass to the event and I would receive 50% off for paying ahead. Ticketmaster advised that I would receive a confirmation email from ParkWhiz containing my parking pass. I never received any confirmation email. Additionally, when I logged into the ParkWhiz site it said that there were no previous purchases. Finally, I called the number for their customer service provided on their website. Upon calling, I was forced to listed to advertisements for approximately 8 minutes, and when I finally got through to the main menu I was told there was no company by the name ParkWhiz at this number. Total scam.

      Hi ******,

      We apologize for the inconvenience!

While we do have a partnership with TicketMaster, it was brought to our attention that there was an bug in the software between TicketMaster and ParkWhiz where the pass purchased through TicketMaster was not populating in the ParkWhiz system.  Unfortunately, you seem to have been affected by this.  Because there was no actual parking pass in our system and you paid directly through TicketMaster (meaning we did not receive any funds), in order to get a refund for the pass you paid for but were unable to use, you will have to contact TicketMaster customer service for assistance.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience the bug within the software caused you.  Please let us know if there is anything additional we can assist with.

      Thank you,

I reserved a parking space in the Miami area, specifically the ************************** garage via the parkwhiz app for Thursday, September 7, 2023 (See parkwhiz payment). The app charged me 51 dollars for a 24-hour reservation on Sept 3, 2023 (see screen shot). When I arrive at the parking garage following the instructions on the app the valet explains that they don't use parkwhiz. I show him the picture on the app and the name of the place on the app, and it's the same exact garage (plus both receipts parkwhiz and paddock valet attached have the same address), but he still says that they don't use parkwhiz. I called parkwhiz customer service and received no response, sent email and no response. Since it was almost 11pm, and not being from the area (just arrived in *****) we ended up having to pay again with them (in person valet) to stay at the parking garage. the next day we go pick up the car, I talk with the valet (a different one) and he says that the previous managers of the parking garage did use parkwhiz, but not the new ones. I sent parkwhiz all of this information to all of their emails, I receive an initial automated response saying they will look into it, then nothing happens, I follow up with more emails and receive 0 response. I would love to receive a refund, since it was their mistake for charging me for a nonexistent parking space. To summarize the parkwhiz app charged me $51.16 for a reservation at the ******************************************************************. They did not have the rights to that parking space, per in person valet's explanation since the new company handling the services did not engage with parkwhiz. We ended up having to pay again in person to the other company (See in person payment). Looking for a refund for money paid to parkwhiz as we did not receive any service from them.

      Hi *****,

      We apologize for the inconvenience!

It sounds like this was a miscommunication with the Valet company.  I see that the receipt you provided was through Flash Valet and your initial reservation was with ParkWhiz.  It's a bit confusing but FLASH actually owns ParkWhiz so that location does in fact accept ParkWhiz reservations.

Regardless, we have gone ahead and refunded your card for the initial amount of $51.16 that you paid.  While we release the funds immediately, depending your bank it can take 3-5 days to show in your account.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

Attached you will find the bill, the receipt and the bank snap shot of money deduct from our account to verify the letter sent by your company through a 3rd party service to recover ***** dollars since we parked in one of your lots and didnt pay, according your letter.

You can understand fully why I am upset.  The time and effort and the headache of knowing we choose your lot to quickness and convenance for us to get a letter a couple of weeks later that we did not pay.
I would like a letter that excuses us of this letter owing you or your 3rd party company.

      Hi ****,

      Thank you for the response.

While looking into this a bit further, I see that you booked your parking at Lot 901 - ******* Lower - ***************************** **********, ** ***** (please see attached screenshot).  However, it seems the reason you received the parking citation is because you parked at a different location.  You can see the address listed on the citation is **************************************************************** (see attached screenshot).  If you had parked in the lot where you booked and had received the citation in error we would be able to assist, however, since you parked at a lot that you did not have a booking at we can not.  We do not own or manage the lots - the company that owns that lot contracted with PRRS to issue the citation and send the letter to you, not ParkWhiz.

We are truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you - please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with.

I am rejecting this response because:

Thank you for your response but I also sent some downloads again of our bank account deduct Taken by your company PARKWHIZ, **** ********** IL. IN THE AMOUNT OF ***** and we have the PARKWHIZ PARKING PASS which was sent to our phone after being on the lot that we paid for so why would we move to another parking place to either pay again or for other reasons. We choose your lot cause it was clean and easy to scan and easy access to the event we attended. If my receipts didn't have your company name all over it we wouldn't be having this conversation to start, I would be directing myself with another company.

Again, I did not move my truck after entering your lot and paying the amount of ***** and I expect for your company, PARKWhiz to take care of our bill with PRRS who apparently for them to send us a bill is because a company like yours would have to send it physically to them so that they can try to dispute that we owe for a parking notice.  Also, the address of ************************ is a housing community and not a parking lot.

On August 29, 2023 I purchased a parking pass online for one day for my trip to ********* ( September 10,2023) for a football game , I arrived at the garage where I was suppose to be parking only to find that I was unable to access it. The scanners were down and nobody answered the intercom system to help with the matter. After many attempts I needed to just drive away and find another lot to park . After returning home from trip I contacted Parkwhiz to get a refund for a service I never received ($34.80) they told me I needed to supply proof that I had to park somewhere else because it was my word against theres, so I did, I sent them a receipt from my credit card company showing the date in which I had to pay someone else for parking. They then told me they would credit my parkwhiz account. I told them I didnt want a credit toward my account (which I never even made a Parkwhiz account) and that I wanted my credit card refunded in the amount I paid l. They refused to do this, and stated that this matter is closed. I would like a refund to the charge card that I used, I do NOT want a credit for something I will NEVER use again. I will not deal with a company where the customer service tries to cheat consumers out of their money for services that were never rendered.

Using the ParkWhiz app I prepaid for parking at a garage on 9/11/2023 at ***************************************, $26.50 for an all day reservation. I dropped off my car at 9:50 AM on 9/11. When I arrived later that day to pick up my car at 1:30 PM, the attendant asked for a $21 cash payment. I thought this was payment for the pre-approved price through the app. After I gave him $25 cash ($21 + tip) I told the attendant I had a reservation through the ParkWhiz app, and had already paid (I showed him the barcode). He told me to cancel the reservation through the app.but I couldnt do that, and couldnt get through on the phone to ParkWhiz support line. The parking attendant refused to give me back the cash payment. So I effectively paid twice for this parking reservation, one charge to my credit card through the app ($26.50) and $21.00 cash. Attached are photos of my credit card and cash receipts. I emailed ParkWhiz and called requesting a refund for one of the charges, with no response. Thanks,*****
