On June 30, 2023, I received a solicitation through TicketMaster from ParkWhiz to ensure my parking was taken care of before the event I attended on July 1st in *********** at the ****************. I thought it would be a good idea and paid the $50 for parking, received the confirmation email, and followed their directions. I showed up at the parking lot location indicated on my emailed receipt, which also included specific details about the lot, including the color of the signs, etc., and when I pulled up, the attendant said we don't take online reservations, I asked if he would please look at my confirmation and he said no, for me to get out of there. I pulled out, went around the block and reread the receipt, and pulled in, as that was the lot, and the attendant began screaming at me, cursing at me, and telling me to get the "fuck" out of there. I asked if I could pay his fee and just park, and I would deal with it later, and he said no, to get the "fuck" out of there. At this point, and with little time to spare, I had to find alternative parking; I also had two elderly people with me who I needed to drop off in front of the location. I found alternative parking, which I then paid an additional $25 for; now, I am out $75 for parking and went to my show. The very next day, I reached out to ParkWhiz to notify them of what took place, I sent them a copy of the alternative parking I had to pay for and proof of the show I went to, and then they said I had to take it up with TicketMaster. TicketMaster sent me back to ParkWhiz, who has now said they will not refund me, that they only refund before events, and offered me a bull s*** credit that I will never use. This company is a fraud and stealing from people, and it is unacceptable.Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience. While we partner with TicketMaster to provide parking services for events, we do not own or operate the lots which contract with us to provide said parking, therefor the attendant that was rude was not one of our employees. We have let management of that lot know of the attendants behavior so that they may deal with it. According to the ParkWhiz system, your original booking purchase of $50 was refunded back to your account on July 5, 2023. Again, we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience!Initial Complaint

I paid ***** plus tax to park in a lot at ************** for the June 30 *********************** concert. When we arrived at the lot all spots were taken with additional cars in line waiting. No attendant on premises. I contacted Parkwhiz who wanted a pic of a sign that the lot was full. No sign existed. Then they wanted a copy of our receipt for parking elsewhere. I paid cash and dont have a receipt. When I reserved the spot it was indicated that an attendant would be present. Im sure they will never issue a refund but this should be illegal and fraudulentBusiness Response

We apologize for the inconvenience. While *********** with lots and garages to provide parking services, we do not own or operate the lot. ************* oversells a location or doesn't provide an attendant they do not always inform us so that we may inform our customers. With that, according to the ParkWhiz system your original booking of $104.40 was refunded back to your account on July 7, 2023. Again, we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience!Customer Answer

On Saturday June 17, 2023 via the ParkWhiz app, I made reservations and paid for a parking reservation at the ********** Municipal parking lot in ********. Upon arrival at the parking facility I was greeted by a security guard that the parking facility is closed for a special event. I went ahead and found another parking facility nearby (8 blocks away) (please note finding parking at the beach can be tough especially during the weekend). I paid cash and was given a parking stub. I contacted ParkWhiz requesting a refund. I provided a pictures of the closed facility and receipt of payment. After corresponding with PArkWhiz for almost two weeks and they kept asking for a copy of receipt with a time stamp of another parking facility that I used. On numerous attempts letting them know I dont have a time stamp receipt of another parking facility that paid. I am not sure if that even matters. What matters is that I paid for parking and it wasnt available.Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience! We tried to refund your original booking of $20, however, it has been declined due to the card number not being on file with your bank anymore. Unfortunately, we are only able to refund the original form of payment so without that we can't issue a refund.Initial Complaint

I pre paid for parking with Park whiz at the assigned designation and my vehicle was towed anyway. Contacted Park Whiz for resolution and was told nothing they could do. It cost me ****** to get vehicle out of poundBusiness Response
Date: 03/26/2024
We apologize for the inconvenience. Based on the screenshots you provided, it seems you booked your parking through ParkWhiz using the license plate *******. However, the reason you were towed was the vehicle you parked with had a license plate of *******. Unfortunately, as we do not own or operate the lots nor contract with the tow company there is nothing we can do about that. According to the ParkWhiz system it does appear that your original booking price was refunded to your account on June 19, 2023.Initial Complaint

I paid $80 for advanced purchase parking for a *********************** concert in *******. My scan code would not work when entering the garage. The attendant said that I had to pay $16 for their parking fee, then just request a refund from ParkWhiz. However, they REFUSED to refund my $80. It was ridiculous that they charged me $80 for parking that was only $16 on siteThen refused to refund my money when their scan code didnt work. The attendant said that had happened many times that evening with that app. Their correspondence was clearly fraudulent. They continued to make untrue statements to skirt around our refund. They accused the garage of charging us for staying past the designated time. The garage did not charge us extra, as we were within our allotted time. We paid no added fees for staying any additional length of time. It was clear that park whiz just looked for any excuse, even though it made no sense. They also refused to give a supervisors name of contact information upon request.Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience! There can sometimes be glitches with software and the ** codes. Additionally, we do not own or operate ***********, we simply contract with them to provide parking services. ************* decides to change their prices, they often don't let us know beforehand. With that, as you were not able to use your original purchase pass we have gone ahead and refunded the $84.80 back to your account. While we release the funds immediately, depending on your bank it can take 3-5 days to hit your account. Again, we apologize for the frustration and inconvenience.Initial Complaint

I prepaid for a parking lot on 04/30/2023 for an event on 05/19/2023. When I arrived at the lot I scanned the parking pass QR code, but the gate would not open. I tried scanning it multiple times but it didnt work. The original pass was $8, then had to pay an additional $15 to park in the lot on the spot since the pass didnt work. I have contact Park Whizs customer support three times, all which have ended in them ignoring me. I sent them my booking number, screenshot of my original purchase, screenshot of my receipt at the lot when I had to pay on the spot, my arrival and departure time, and vehicle make and model. Once they received this info, I received no further replies. There has been no resolution on their end. My booking number is #*********. I filled out a dispute form with my bank for the original transaction and they are going to remove the charge from my account. Still doesnt change the fact Park Whiz would not help me at all and their terrible service cost me $15 out of pocket for a pass that shouldve worked in the first place. Ive used their services in the past and have never had issues but I will not be using their services in the future with how little they care for their customers.Business Response

Park Whiz is a total scam. We prepaid online for a parking space in a garage in *** in the theater district, via Park Whiz. We got there about 10 minutes before our Broadway show started but it was okay because their website said it was "100 steps away". When we arrived we saw the customer in front of us was being screamed at by the the garage attendant (literally screaming) stating the garage was full. She, like us, had prepaid for parking online. When we told him we had a spot paid for as well, he started screaming at us too-- like somehow it was our fault he over sold the garage. He screamed at us until we backed our car out and provided no help as to where we could go to find parking. After 30 minutes we found parking but we were 20 minutes late to an 80 minute Broadway show. When we called them after we got home about the incident, they said they could only reimburse ** for the money we paid them if we gave them a receipt for the parking we had to find on our own! We explained we didn't want reimbursement for the alternative parking we found-- only for the garage spot we paid for with Park Whiz that we were not allowed to park in. It was ludacrius! Do not use Park Whiz! They are scammers!Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience! While ParkWhiz contracts with the lots/garages to provide parking services we do not own or operate the lots or garages or employ the attendants so if there is an oversold situation or a rude attendant all we can do is reach out to management to let them know. With that, we have gone ahead and refunded your original parking purchase of $57.40 back to your account. While we release the funds immediately, depending on your bank it can take 3-5 days to hit your account. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration.
