My mom wanted to go to breakfast before I had to drop her off at the airport. The only available parking was a ParkWhiz parking lot. I followed posted instructions on how to pay, but the website gave error message your payment could not be completed. However, I saw credit transaction showing I was charged despite not receiving a parking spot. I provided screen shots as proof of my receipts of unused parking ($7.70 x 2 attempts). The park whiz customer service section of website says: Booked one pass but see two charges on your bank statement? Sounds like you accidentally booked a duplicate pass at the time same ************* Dont worry, weve got your back. Shoot us an email with the Parking Pass numbers (noting which one you wont/didnt use) and well reply within an hour. Well gladly refund duplicate passes, those which are exactly the same location and timeframe, no questions asked. They do not abide by their own posted policy.1. They do NOT respond within timeframe as labeled on their website. First response took over 24hrs. I provided requested information and they promised a response within 5-7 business days. A month later after no response I emailed them again and they responded after another 2 days only to request the same information I already sent them 2. Their website (as outlined above) says they will reimburse duplicate passes no questions asked. I sent them proof I was incorrectly charged twice and they have hassles me with ridiculous questions. 3. Their more recent email requests a receipt from alternate parking. This is superfluous given I was already able to provide proof their website didnt work. I never parked anywhere else because their non functioning website took so long I had to just take my mom to the airport and lost invaluable time with her (we are military family moving overseas for the next 3 years and this was the last breakfast I could have with my mom). I will never get this time back and the company has been rude.Business Response

On 5/5/23, I received an email about an event I have tickets for on 5/6/23. I used the advice of the event center and used Parking Whiz to secure parking for 5/6/23. I selected the event date and time on the Parking Whiz website, selected the address of the lot I was interested in and pressed purchase pass. The entire time I did this, the event name, date, and time were all displayed in the top left of the screen. After I purchased the pass a timer appeared and I realized that they charged me for parking in real time, on 5/5/23, not 5/6/23. I immediately stopped the timer to indicate I was through with the pass. I then emailed Parking Whiz to let them know their website booked me for 5/5/33, even though the screen showed 5/6/23 I was attempting to purchase a pass for. They initially responded to my email and asked me a question about the event and parking. They didnt attempt to resolve the issue of being charged for the wrong day. They are now ignoring my emails. Ive seen multiple complaints about the fraudulent practices of Parking Whiz and I would like help resolving my issue.Business Response

My parents and I pre paid for a garage parking spot through parkwiz. The garage was at ************ The garage denied ** parking which we had already paid for. Parkwhiz is refusing to refund our money, claiming that we need a receipt from another garage in order to do so. This is absolutely insane as we were unable to park at the garage we paid for and it is irrelevant whether or not we parked elsewhere. We paid for parking at *********** but did not receive it. We are asking for a full refund and would like the BBB to be aware of the fraudulent practices being done by parkwhiz. Parking ticket number *********Business Response

Paid for reserved parking. Was not available upon arrival, lot was closed and told full by rude woman in parking lot attendant booth. She shooed ** away , told her we paid for reservation and have handicap people in car. She told ** hi drive and look. We drive around for 30 minutes. Go back to her begging for help , she yells at days go to parking garage, directs two blocks away, we go to parking garage , attendant says ok , but go to fifth floor! Had to ******** blocks away with two handicapped people lugging luggage ! The spot we reserved was literally less than five minute walk to the wheel chair handicapped entrance for the ship. Contacted merchants over five emails. Ignored no response. I want my money back you failed to provide my reserved parking spot!Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience! While *********** with the lots and garages to provide parking services, we do not own or operate them. There are times when the management of those garages does not convey to their attendants they are working with us and unfortunately situations like this arise. We have gone ahead and refunded the original purchase price of $185.50 back to your account since you were unable to use the parking. While we release the funds immediately, depending on your bank it can take 3-5 days to hit your account. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration!Customer Answer

I reached out to Parkwhiz on March 16. That day, I booked a specific garage through them for $10.81. When I arrived at that exact garage, they kicked me out and said they didn't work with Parkwhiz. I then had to circle around, til I was late for my appointment, and park elsewhere for $25. I provided photos of parking there and my credit card receipt to Parkwhiz. I had to repeatedly reach out and got conflicting responses to them. First they said to submit the receipt from where I parked, and later they informed me that they'd only refund me the $10.81. So in summary, I got bait and switched on the price of parking, was made late to my appointment when they represented that they worked with a garage that they did not, and got secondarily bait and switched by their customer service when they told me to provide my receipts from the other garage and then told me that they wouldn't pay those. I should at least receive a $25 refund from them, and a better company would provide a credit in addition to that for the fact that they promised something that they didn't deliver.Business Response

On March 21, 2023, I received a parking spot at a garage in ************** using ParkWhiz. The parking spot was to be used via valet and our vehicle was parked in a garage at the restaurant ******************* at ******************************************* Our reservation was for 10 am. We got to the restaurant and there was no valet. The restaurant didn't even open until 11:30 am. Therefore, we drove to the garage at the location and told the parking attendant we had a reservation via ParkWhiz. He took down our reservation number and told us where to park and we left the vehicle there from about 10:20 am to 3:49 pm. Once we got back to our vehicle and tried to leave, the parking attendant said he looked for our reservation but that our reservation via ParkWhiz at Fogo ******* could NOT be used. He said this is because the valet and the restaurant do not use the parking garage until after 5 pm. Therefore, we were not able to use our ParkWhiz reservation and the parking attendant made us pay cash for the time we had parked there. I have CONTINUOUSLY reached out to ParkWhiz to get a refund, but they have given me no resolution, have not refunded me, and are now ignoring me. I want the $54.60 that I was charged by ParkWhiz refunded to me immediately.Initial Complaint

Made online reservation for parking, reservation number *********. Prepaid. Arrived at lot and was turned away, even though I had a reservation. I contacted BestParking and they offered to refund the prepayment but declined to reimburse me for the replacement and much higher priced parking I was forced to purchase at another garage. Also ended up wasting about 15 minutes searching for available garage space and resulted in being late for appointment. I provided the company with the receipt for the replacement parking, which totaled $40 or $24.10 more than the amount prepaid to BestParking. I requested either a payment or account credit for the $24.10 but company declined. I relied on the reservation, prepaid for it and they failed to honor it, thus costing me time and some money.Business Response

I paid $16 in advance to Park Whiz via Ticket Master to purchase a parking pass for an event on 2/11/23. When I arrived at the garage (using the address given by Park Whiz, the pass would not scan to gain entry into the garage. I had to press the button for a ticket because there was a line behind us and no one to help. When I was looking for parking, I saw someone who worked there so I asked if I was in the right garage; I showed my Park Whiz pass and was told I was in the correct spot and on the way out just scan my pass. On the way out, I tried scanning my pass and it would not work. It kept saying "DENIED" and then "SCAN OTHER SIDE OF PASS NOW". No one was available to help, and again, there was a line behind us. We were forced to pay $25 to the garage. I immediately called the number of the garage and asked for a refund of the $25 because we had previously paid Park Whiz. They said they could not refund and we would have to ask Park Whiz for our $16 refund. I immediately contacted Park Whiz via their website and got a response right away that they would refund once I sent the receipt for the parking garage. I sent it right away. I have since contacted them 9 times asking for my refund, with no response except after my 7th contact, when they said they would process once I sent my credit card statement showing the charge, which I immediately sent. Again, no response. I need to be refunded $16 and it is disheartening that this company basically scams people out of money. I have attached our parking pass we purchased from Park Whiz, along with the receipt of purchase. I have also attached the parking garage receipt that I had to pay to leave the garage.Business Response

I paid for reserved parking with Park Whiz for the *** Stadium Series Game in *******, ** for Saturday, February 18th. When I got to the lot in question, it was blocked off with cones and a road sign stated "lot full, do not enter". There were no parking representatives available to help with this situation or to guide drivers to another lot that would honor this pass (which I paid $42.00 for). I asked a state trooper for assistance, but he had no idea how to help. We ended up parking in a cash only lot for $20 that was more than 1/2 mile further away. I contacted Park Whiz, and while initially responsive, I have had no further follow up, even though I have shared all of my details with them to resolve this issue. I am only asking for my $42.00 back and not the additional $20 in cash I had to spend finding alternative parking. Details are as follows:RESERVATION DETAILS PARKING PASS:#********* LOCATION:********************************************************************* ENTER AFTER:Saturday Feb 18th, 2023, 2:00 pm EXIT BY:Sunday Feb 19th, 2023, 1:00 am +2 hours after event PAYMENT INFO PARKING TOTAL:$42.00Business Response

I purchased parkwhiz for an event in *********. Parking was 4 blocks away from the revenue, there was parking available much closer. On top of that, when I went to leave the parking deck, the reader would not recognize the ** code. Had to pay an additional amount of 30$ for the gate to open, mind you leaving a hour early. After emailing customer service several time. I did not see a reimbursement and they quit replying to emails. User's recommendation: just don't do it if they cannot make things right.Business Response

Hi *******,
When looking up bookings in our system using the email address provided ************************ there is only one booking that shows up at ********************** Garage in ********* purchased on Wednesday October 26, 2022 for $8.80. As we do not store credit card numbers we can not refund you money that wasn't paid to us (the additional money you paid was directly to the garage which we do not own or operate). Due to this, we refunded that original booking amount back to you. This was done Feb 27, 2023 so it was over a year ago which is why you won't see it on your statement.
Thank you,
The ParkWhiz Team
