On 01/31/2023 I put a work order in for my furnace they came out on 02/01/2023.two maintenance guys with the building manager 79 and hermitage location.the two maintenance guys checked the furnace and decided to put a new sensor in because I been having issues for months with my furnace.now they at the front door letting me know that they will return the manager looks at me at states they he here for they safely Im ask him excuse me safety he replied yeah I said why all been asking for my furnace to be fixed properly .he cuts me off like yeah like I said I dont want any problems cutting me off will not allow to to talk to ask him what problem I have been to office to talk to someone about my heat they refused to talk to me I told him now you treating me telling me about they safety I never did anything wrong he couldnt even explain why .I felt very uncomfortable in my home with the building manager I have put in complaints about his rude behavior and communications before .I dont feel safe for him to enter my apartment and making false statements and allegations.Business Response

Since I moved into my apartment last year at the end of August I have been having a problem with the refrigerator came out twice to fix the problem the second time he said he was gone have to keep coming out because the problem was going to keep happening in to just request a new and this was in September. Since then I put in at least 10 more requests and call them and sent texts to the property manager and she doesn't even respond. Since putting in them 10 requests nobody came out to fix the problem. The problem is that the water leaks from the freezer into the refrigerator causing a puddle of water in the refrigerator storage area.Business Response

Pangeas property manager *************************** is starting to target me purposefully because a dog fee was assessed to my account and I asked her to investigate the matter. Since this issue has arrissed I am now being targeted with eviction notices not because my rent is 30 days behind but because the fee that I ask ****** to investigate for further detail was not paid. For clarification my rent was paid but the fee added to my account was not paid (since I asked her to investigate and she never responded to me). Since this matter has occurred I am now receiving eviction emails indicating my rent 30 days pass due when in fact that is not the case. I have records indicating such matter. I moved into my apartment in March, The apartment had no appliances and I received no communication from the staff. I eventually received the appliances after 4 weeks. I was told that the amount of wasted groceries about 400 would be taken off my rent. I have been reaching out regularly for the agreement to be met and it still has not. several requests have been made for the zone lead to contact me. today they have given an eviction notice for the balance they were supposed to relieve. On January 1, 2023 around 7 am I woke up sick. I had a bad headache, dizziness, throwing up and couldnt stand up. I noticed that everyone else in the house became ill also . Someone told me to call the fire department because it sounds like we had carbon monoxide poisoning. When they came out they discovered that we did have carbon monoxide coming from inside our apartment but they couldnt pinpoint the exact location of it. I called *********** out and the recommended we turn off the cooking gas and disconnect the stove so we did. I was so sick myself and my spouse had to be rushed to the hospital and later found out we had carbon monoxide poisoning. January 2,2023 I came to check on my apartment we couldnt stay the night before because my carbon monoxide detector was not working properly due to Pangea promising to bring me a new one but never did. So I came to see if they fixed the issue and ******************************************************************************** the hallway so I called the fire department again and when they came we had to evacuate due to it being 500 times carbon monoxide. I called Pangea trying to get someone out here and theyve been ignoring my calls and concerns. We had no heat for two days and now its going on seven days with cooking gas. Every time I call for the gas company to get in its always an excuse. I feel like its some type of retaliation and Im being denied services that I pay for. I have a new baby in the house this is horrible and ** still feeling sick from Sunday and they never reached out to us to apologize or anythingBusiness Response

My name is ******* it is my first time leasing with Pangea my move in date was 11/20/2022 just last night I was hearing noises in my kitchen and I turned the lights on and sure enough 4 rats go running away this place is infested with mice and I would like to take legal action against pangea it is not healthy to be living here I am currently 9 months pregnant with a due date of 1/06/2023 which is actually tomorrow and I would hate to bring my newborn into a apartment unit infested with mice.also onother thing I have been here since 11/20/2022 and I still have no heat peoples gas has came over 4 times and every time they could never reach to nobody from Pangea to open the maintenance room to get to the gas meters again I have been here cold just getting ignored and Im sick of this I will be contacting my lawyer today and see what happens after that. I am rejecting this response because:It is now the 12th of January nobody has showed up at my door or even returned a call about pest control I have a newborn baby here that was born on January 6th and rats be running all around my house and Im scared something might happen to my newborns ********* really scared and I contacted my lawyer he is thinking of moving forward with a civil lawsuit for the damages on all my furniture and appliances due to rats biting them and leaving f**** all over the apartment & also I still have no heat or hot water when I call peoples gas they say that Pangea never has nobody around to open the basement for the gas meters I have been here since 11/20/2022 with no heat no hot water and this is so unfair and unprofessional from Pangea.

My apartment flooded 12/25/2022 there were no one in office or security in building to contact so I made numerous calls to the main office as well to my building manager I didnt get a response or hear from anyone until the following day which was a text from my building manager I explained the whole apartment floor which is rugged was flooded and that the rug would need to be replaced because it might mold and it has a loud foul smell in my apartment ,her response was shes waiting to hear from her supervisor! I asked if they could place me in another unit and that some of my things has been damaged as well as my two daughters birth records and more personal paperwork! She explained there was nothing she could do about that I would have to have renters insurance in order to get back what I lost, however she ended up getting me a hotel for 3 days which was 45 minutes away by ***** airport which I accepted because I had no where to stay or go so I decided to go and by it just being Christmas all I had to my name was $57! I got to the hotel after I left work and had to put my last $50 on the room, I had to be back at work 11 a.m because Im doing a double so I decided to just check out that morning because it was too far from my job I just didnt have the funds to get back and forward so I explained to my building manager and she explained there was nothing else they could do for me they got me a room which they felt wasnt necessary at this point Im frustrated and highly upset however I keep my cool, however I ended up sleeping in my vehicle that night so I went directly to the office to speak with the supervisor and I was told to be patient theres nothing she could do so I asked to speak to someone over her and I got attitude and rude comments , at this point I dont know what to do!!! Today makes 9 days my apartment is still wet and smells and no one is doing anything my calls arent being answered or my messages, last message I received my building manager is saying shes trying to replace the rugBusiness Response

I lease an apartment from Pangea Real Estate and have had sewage water backing up into my bathtub and toilet for 4 days. Property management is aware of the situation and has made no effort to inform me on the cause of the issue or their plan to resolve it. I am not the only tenant dealing with this issue. I have tried calling and sending emails multiple times, and only one phone call was answered, during which the employee was unable to provide any information on the situation. I was told he would contact the manager and get back to me, which did not happen. All other previous attempts to contact the office or manager via phone or email have been unsuccessful.Business Response

My heat not working for three days 12/26-12-29 they sent someone out yesterday on 12/27/2022 the guy came just took a picture of the thermostat and stated its nothing he can do .I explained to him that my furnace making a banging noise he said its form the door on the furnace with I never heard a banging before and the heat not staying on it cutting off right after 5 seconds and the banging noise .I called back at 5 yesterday 12/28//2022 the young lady said she try and get someoneto back out no one came get off work today 12/29/2022 no one been here today so I called the office the young lady told me the made it work for 3-5 business days . I have no heat and you telling me no one can come out. So I went to office on 79th hermitage the lady told me she not going to help because i ask her do her heat work at home so she went and sit down.they are very disrespectful my building manager also I put a complaint in on him no never called me back.this crazy so I suppose to sit here with no heat until they decide to come out but I suppose to my rent every month and abide by my lease but Pangea cant do they job.Pangea is very sad they talk real nice to get out.they dont clean the hallway anymore it very sad but a new year for Im not gonna keep paying my hard earned money to be treated like we staying here for free.Im moving its always something with PangeaBusiness Response

12/26/22 A pipe burst in the top (3rd floor) apartment and gathered in my sub basement apartment, drenching all the carpet, coming through light sockets, and destroying the bathroom ceiling, making it fall. The office had told my roommate and I that the damage isn't bad despite not sending it a professional inspector, and insisting we move back in despite the mildew and sewage, that it is "safe". They sucked up the water and put a single fan that hasn't been moved a single time since the incident. Throughout the incident, I spoke with my upstairs neighbor and she claimed that she had been attempting to contact maintenence since December 22nd for the pipe leaking, a claim I cannot back up but could potentially provide additional evidence of negligence. They are telling us that everything is safe, including electrical, and have not communicated other than telling me they can't move me in the middle of the lease despite me being a resident for over 2 years. I have not heard from them in two days.Business Response

All the repairs in this apartment have been completed. There was a pipe that burst due to the extreme temperatures. Our techs fixed it and water was extracted the same day. There was no electrical damage, only drywall. The drywall needed to be replaced but it had to dry first. We offer carpet clean as well. That took a couple of days because the tenant was not ready and kept pushing it off. Every email has been responded to as well as speaking to them in person and on the phone. The apartment was inspected by the board of health and even they only asked for the drywall to be repaired within 30 days. Based on the condition of the unit we will not be transferring the resident.
