On 3/28/25 we made a deal on an RV with camping world of **************, ** we were 9 hours away so we did most work over the phone. We were told to put a 500 deposit down over the phone just to hold the unit until we got there on the 29th. That it was just a hold and would fall off after the purchase. We also made a deal for our camper and ******. However they kept the 500 and proceeded with a loan for ******. We have contacted them over 12 times and every time they say they will call us right back( this has never happened) Also when we were ready to complete the paperwork they told me this unit was a DIY which was never revealed prior nor mentioned in their ad. After closing they disclosed a paper with all issues however we took it to a mechanic and they stated there are way more issues than stated. They also overcharged for the PA tax and have not returned nor given us the appropriate paperwork in order to get pa inspection. They claim to use a closing company to complete all paperwork and that we would receive this in 2 weeks it is now almost 4 weeks and we have received nothing except the loan payment now due!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because I have not received legal documentation in order to have this camper inspected In ** to make legal. Also this vehicle was never listed as DIY project, the paper work stating the services needed were given at the time we were signing all the paper work for the camper. A direct question about the refrigerator was asked by me if it worked as it should and the salesman said it works good. Later in phone call talking to sales manager ******** about the condition of refrigerator he was upset with ******* **** about saying to refrigerator operated properly. He also said is mechanically sound to drive to ********** not true the windshield wipers never worked. Going back to conversation with sales manager he would disclose the problems with this camper till we received them at closing. We believe we were taken advantage of with lies and the fact we drove 11 hours towing a trade and being exhausted at the time. I did stop payment on the discover card for $500.00 over charge. But trying to resolve other issues the Case manager ***** ******** at corporate will not return numerous phone calls much like the Camping World in ************ where to purchase was made. Lastly my brother and wife were present during this conversation.

I put down a 4k deposit for a trailer, no paperwork signed, I was going to go down and see/purchase the vehicle then I changed my mind. I called and asked for my money back, ***** ****** the (alleged) GM of the *********, ** location of Camping World told me that, that was not what we agreed on and he was not going to be giving my money back. I told him I didn't sign anything legally binding for ** to be able to keep my money and he said it was a "gentleman's promise" and I would not be seeing my money. So I called and tried to get someone above him and I was told no one was above him and that I would have to contact corporate if I wanted to get anywhere. I filed a stop payment and fraud on my bank since I made the deposit with my debit card. Later on I was told that he voided my 4k deposit and was going to reverse the charges. I have yet to see this hit my bank account and I told him I was filing a report with the BBB.Business Response

We purchased a camper at camping world in *******, Minn When we brought it home we plugged it in the fridge wouldn't work, we fixed it and then we tried the leveling system and that doesn't work. They have had it for three weeks and it still isn't fixed, they said we can take it home because you don't need it to camp but we bought it in good faith that they had made sure the camper was in working order our point is we paid *****. down and financed the rest we also bought a tow dolly for a car and that has no title so we can't get it registered .They didn't put any gas and we were told it comes with a full tank! I paid a payment already and they still haven't fix the camper. Date of the transaction: April 14, 2025 Amount paid: $1,000 DEPOSIT The deposit was made in contemplation of buying a Trailer.We decided fairly quickly that we cannot afford the Trailer so we asked for our deposit back and ***** (Sales) and ***** (Finance) refused. They claim they earned our $1,000 for filing the application to see if we qualify to finance the Trailer. We were at the store after 5p and were notified we were approved at 1p the following day. Shortly thereafter on 4/15 in the early afternoon, we let the Finance *** ***** know that we were no longer interested and that we wanted our $1,000 refunded immediately.The store refuse to return our money. I am rejecting this response because: camping world's response is not true. I received an email saying that ******* had left a VM for me, I had no such VM. I called her back and left a VM and I also emailed her back and explained to her that she should call my work number rather than my personal phone since it is much easier to contact me via that number. She then called my personal phone again and did in fact leave a VM. I called her back and got no answer again and I followed up with another email asking her to call my work phone. I haven't received a call, VM or email since then. CALL MY WORK NUMBER AT *************. IF FOR SOME REASON I DON'T ANSWER, TRY AGAIN IN A LITTLE BIT AND I'LL VERY LIKELY ANSWER. I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting Camping Worlds BBB response because it fails to accurately address or resolve any of the concerns I originally raised. The response was dismissive, misleading, and lacked any real accountability.
First and foremost, I was told I would need to pay an additional fee just to have water turned on in order to verify whether the toilet leak had been repaired. This is unacceptable. Customers should not be expected to pay extra simply to confirm that the work they were charged for was completed properly. Verifying repairs should be a basic part of the servicenot an added cost.
To make matters worse, the woman I spoke with on the phone was unprofessional and outright rude. She stated, and I quote, You said that there was no concern with the toilet. That statement is completely false. The entire reason my RV was brought in for service was because the toilet was leaking. Either there was a complete failure in internal communication, or my concerns were completely ignored.
Additionally, the paperwork I received after the service claimed there was no toilet leak found. I find that very difficult to believeespecially considering that, upon returning home and turning the water on myself, the toilet immediately began leaking again. Which raises a very obvious question: How can you determine whether or not a toilet is leaking if you never turned on the water to check? This shows a clear lack of thoroughness and professionalism in the inspection and repair process.
Beyond the unresolved toilet issue, Im extremely frustrated with the overall state in which my camper was returned to me. It was clear that there was no care or respect taken with my property. The condition it was left in reflected a total disregard for both my time and the trust I placed in your service team. I should not have to spend additional time and effort cleaning up or dealing with new issues caused by negligence and lack of attention.
The entire experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and a complete waste of time and money. I expect better communication, more accountability, and basic respect for my property as a paying customer. I am rejecting this response and requesting a proper resolution that reflects the seriousness of these issues.
