      Rural King emailed me an offer to buy a product and then when I order and put it in my shopping cart the price doubles to $24.99! This is for a "pick-up" item that is IN STOCK. I call it bait and switch. A SCAM!
      I was ordering 8 of this item and NO SHIPPING was required.

      We have contacted ****, the chairs were located at a store 2 hours away from the customer. The store is holding the items for him and he is going there this weekend to purchase them for the sale price. I will also be sending him a $50 gift-card to help offset the travel.

      This is a complaint about inferior products sold at rural king all merchandise made under there brand doesn’t last it all junk everything I’ve bought from them hasn’t lasted over 3 months just bought a hunting blind there brand yesterday will be returning today won’t even come apart to set up because was sewed wrong all the stuff sold by them is cheap junk

      Purchased Husqvarna riding mower in spring ‘22. Broke down less than a year later. We took into the shop & have been told they had to order a part. I’ve called 4 times for an update. They can’t tell me anything. No part number, tracking number, or details related to it. Management does not return calls. It’s been 5 months & this needs to be resolved. I want a full refund or a new mower.

      I purchased a vehicle that had a Rural King brand battery. I had an issue with the battery. On the outside of the battery it states that there is a 60 month limited warranty and 12 month guaranteed replacement guarantee. I called the Rural King store and the person told me to bring the battery in and they would give me a prorated refund as it was out of side of the 12 month Guarantee trade in timeframe but within the 60 month guarantee. I drove over one hour to the nearest Rural King store with the battery. When I talk to the customer service people they told me the battery was still good and they could do nothing for me. I brought the battery back home and took it to an automotive store and they tested it and the battery is bad.

      That is what they told me too, but they did not let me see the tester. They told me the battery was still good, it just needed to be charged. I brought the battery home and took it to my mechanic. He put it on a charger and it wouldn't charge past 12 volts or hold a charge (once unplugged it dropped immediately to 8 and then went dead overnight.

      On 9/4/23 (Labor Day) around 4pm I went to Rural King in Peru, ** to purchase a rabbit for my son. After spending about an hour in the store checking out the rabbits and gathering the needed supplies, we chose one of the male rabbits. The worker boxed the rabbit up and sent us on our way. About 40 hours later, on 9/6/23 around 8am we found the rabbit deceased in his cage. I called Rural King and told the customer service manager ***** what had happened and asked about any policy they had in place for incidents like this. ***** was not sure so she was going to take down my information so the manage (*********) could call me when she returns to work on 9/7/23 at 5pm. When ***** was confirming information, she thought we purchased the rabbit Monday 8/28/23. I corrected her and told her no this past Monday, her tone changed as she shocked and said she will reach out to ********* personally as this was sudden. About an hour passed and ***** called back stating they have no policy and cannot confirm when the rabbit became ill and said it wasn't ill when it left the store. I offered to bring the rabbit back so they could check it out or make sure it wasn't anything on our end, but they declined, and I had to go to a vet and pay almost double the price of the rabbit to dispose of it properly. I asked ***** that ********* do reach out to me so we can discuss this further as I feel either a policy change is necessary for future buyers or go on a case to case basis for returns or refunds.

      The store manager, *****, contacted the customer and apologized that a manager hadn't been contacted about this situation. Rural King is refunding her purchase, and offering a gift card for the vet bill. Customer seemed pleased and was content with what was offered.

      On 08/11/23 made an Online purchase through the Rural King of a multiple items. They said it would be available in 7-10 business days. I later received a email stating that an item I had purchased 8/5/23 was now after full payment was now out of stock.( 1st complaint, selling an item sold to someone, to someone else entirely) and I was refunded immediately. One 8/11/23 in the AM I ordered again but mistakenly added a couple items to the the order. Messaged customer service 8/11/23 around noon, and received email back around 2pm stating and request received and the order cancelled because of my mistake. Email also stated as per policy it’s not shipped refund is immediate. The charges came off my bank account. I thought it was all said and done. Days later the charge is back on my card, resulting in me having overdraft fees. Again email to customer service asking why no cancellation. Was told it takes 3-5 business days to process a refund. I waited until the 8/14/23 am and checked, no refund/checking account severely overdrawn. More emails between myself and Rural King. This time I was told no refund until 8/25/23? 8/15/23 money shows in account no overdrafts and positive balance. 8/1623 I was busy at dentist office so didn’t check until 8/17/23 charge is back, severe overdraft. 8/18/23 now I was told I have to wait until 8/25/23 for items never shipped and never to be received at the store before I can get my money. If they are never received at store, I never get money back. Emails show 8/11/23 order never really cancelled. I really need help as this is costing me 100’s in overdraft fees and stopping my personal side business completely, nothing in, nothing able to sell until the refunds are paid. All I’m asking is for my $2798.95 refund for things I never bought, items that were never shipped, never received at store that have to happen first before I get my money back

      Customer had 2 orders placed on 8/11/23. ********* was canceled and reordered with *********. Order *********  was the order that the customer wanted to have canceled. It was not. When an order is placed a pending hold is placed and then fully charged when the order has shipped. Since the customer has requested a refund for an order that was to have been canceled we are now refunding the order before it gets to the store. For Gun orders once the order ships the refund is not issued till the store has it in its possession. I have attached the transaction refund. Customer will also be emailed the refund transaction.

      Order ********* was placed on 8/1 and canceled on 8/11 due to being out of stock. Order ********* placed on 8/11 was cancelled on 8/12 when customer emailed in to cancel and order. Order 800724475 placed on 8/11 and shipped on 8/15 (this is when the captured charge happened for this order). This is per our terms that the initial charge is pending then captured when shipped. Order ********* ordered on 8/16 and shipped 8/17. It was not till after it had shipped that the orders were requested to be canceled. The customer's order ********* was cancel because that is the one the CSR pulled up by the customers email. When it was realized that the order was canceled wrong he placed a new order for the same item and it shipped. We were notified that he wanted all his orders canceled but since they had shipped they could not be. They were refunded on 8/21, since every bank has different time frames to process refunds we do not know how long it takes for the bank to process the refund. Our CSR did apologize for the confusion on what order was canceled once it was brought to out attention that he had  multiple orders at the same time.

      I am rejecting this response because: ********* 8/11 cancelled 8/12 (refund in question) 
      The refund in question was cancelled by customer but customer never reordered. notice there’s no re order number in reference that alleged reorder. CRS canceled *********** mistakenly and did apologize for that. Reorder for that item was *********. By now customer was fed up, requested all money back and said never to do business again. Finally refused after 2nd BBB conversation. Still no apology. I was forced to wait 10 days for a refund for items never shipped. 
        ********* cancelled for out of stock because they sold same item to different customer after I purchased and paid for it. 
        ******** as per their policy should have been immediately refunded since it never shipped. Not 10 days later and still with no apology.

      Ordered two PULSAR 21" 200CC GAS-POWERED PUSH MOWER WITH 5-POSITION HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT - PTG1221DB one sale for $100 each for delivery to local store within 10-14 days estimated. On 8/14, Rural King cancels the orders. Upon calling was informed that the ordered was cancelled since the warehouse had non in stock. I said I was happy to wait on the order but was informed I had no choice. Went to the webpage and amazingly it shows there for order at full price of $209.93 and the reasoning I am given is the often complaint of the web page doesn't reflect live inventory. So a day after my order was canceled they list it as available at full price. Doesn't sound like an inventory management issue to me as much as no intention of honoring their sale price.

      Good Morning, this item is listed out of stock for the store that Customer has selected. This was updated today since we do not have a live website we have to update manually. I am including screen shots of the item from the website and the part of our terms and conditions that this situation falls into. Customer has a Florida zip code and is placing the order for store pick up in Kentucky. The item is now listed to be in stores. All the inventory we have is with in the stores for this item. The warehouse is suppling the stores with the item to have stock. Sales are while supplies last and no rainchecks.

      Rural King's response does not address the issue.  The point about different zip codes is immaterial to the issue at hand and has no bearing on the issue.  

      Fact remains that an item was on sale and I ordered them and the web page indicated 10-12 days for delivery to the store I selected.  I was fine with that.  I was willing to wait longer if need be for my order but wasn't given that choice.  Today 8/17/2023 RK has released a new flyer advertising the same item on sale again.  I don't see how that is an inventory management issue since if they are out of stock as claimed on the 14th then why are they now advertising the same item on sale from 8/17-8/30?  This smacks of a lack of intent to honor their advertised price and using it to solely attract customers into their store.

      RK explanation does not hold up to scrutiny in light of these actions.

      The ad the is stated runs from 8/3/23-8/30/23, which means the ad will be included in the biweekly ads released. The item in question was to be available in stores and the stores have what stock we have. We do not have the item available to ship.       You may have the right per your own terms and conditions but does not change the fact that you our not honoring your twice advertised sale price and from the complaints I have seen filed this is a common practice of Rural King’s. It is obvious you make a common practice of showing sales with very limited stock to entice in customers with full knowledge that many will be disappointed.

      Today the local rural king advertised a log splitter for $1000 off their normal pricing and the store manager refused to honor the pricing that was clearly printed on the piece of equipment with the sku and I have photos, the store manager then laughed at me when I attempted to buy it, they have committed false advertising and all I want is to purchase the piece of equipment they offer

      Good Morning, the customer did fill out a feedback form and the store contacted him with no answer. The item in question was priced 1199.93 when put out on the front side walk. When the customer came in to talk to a manager the price was now showing missing a number. The manager explained that the item was 1199.93 and they could give him 10%-20% off of the price but would not sell it to him for $1000 off.

      I placed a purchase for pickup in store on 7-10-2023 I waited for an email to pick it up and never received it. I called and they said there was a glitch and if I placed another order it would go through and they would refund me for my previous order. On 7-11-2023 I placed am order for the same exact item. They once again said it got caught in a glitch and they would refund me for both orders. It is now 7-21-2023 and I have received no refund for either orders. I've reached out Multiple times and they said they can't refund me because the payment is under review and I need to call PayPal. I called PayPal and they said it is rural kings responsibility to refund me. Do no ever order online for in store pickup or but from this company. My two orders numbers are *********** Order Date

      During Paypal review, Ruralking.com has not received payment yet. Once those funds have been released to us, we are able to refund. On July 21st  at 4:20pm, the payment for *********** was refunded. On July 24th at 9:17am the order for *********** was refunded. We apologize for any inconvenience.

      I bought a canopy 5/22/23 for 250 dollars. I also bought the insurance to replace if anything happens. A storm destroyed it today. I called to get started on replacing it.( I love the canopy!) The insurance states won't pay for (acts of God) I want it replaced

      was not told by employee about what was covered and what was not. the papers i submitted was what i recieved along with assurance that the insurance would cover anything. i feel that the employees selling the insurance were not fully aware of the the terms and failed to convey that effectively. i also feel that i paid good money for something i loved and am not asking for more than whats fair. a one time replacement.
