Customer for 8+ years, no recent credit limit increases to support needing my IRS tax returns. Income verification can be performed other ways than wanting to see how and where all your money goes ( political donations, medical, etc).

We have a 4 bedroom two bath brick two story colonial house with five acres in a very desirable area with many upgrades. Discover home loans fumbled around with what was supposed to be a drive by appraisal and came up with a ridiculous value. They waisted our time and effort and insulted us in the process. I am not new to the home value process as a realtor, I ************ daily. Dont waist you time with these clowns!!

Never again, worst experience ever. They were very tenative at first said eveything looks good 2 days later we get an automated email at 6am saying we can not approve you. Someone will contact you today if they haven't already. No one called I tried emailing Never got a response. They were gonna charge us 10% interest after 5 years on $1000 payments a month I would only have paid $3000 on my principal but $ ****** of interest. Once I got the paperwork I was gonna ***** my loan anyway. This should be illegal. Also since they pulled are credit we have been each getting 50 calls a day and we are on the do not call list. WTF

Cheats and thieves...and those are compliments compared to words that would be used for their attorneys.

This company was completely discriminatory in there denial of my application. Especially since they have no just cause to do so. I have tried to resolve the matter and they ignore me. I complained to the **** for help and that is when they reach out but only that once just to say they did. No resolution has been found.

I received a targeted pre approval mailer for a home equity loan from Discover, and applied thinking that it was a good idea since there wouldn't be any fees. Well come to find out after filling all the paperwork out, having a hard credit report pulled, and going through all the required documents that I uploaded (within 12 hours), that there is a fee. A big one. They require me to have $8,100 in "reserve assets" (liquid assets) on hand in my checking account on 2 month's checking account ending balance bank statements. Nowhere did they say I had to have this at the beginning of the "friendly and cordial" correspondence that I had with *****************************. I called her to ask what was up with this, and her tone had changed and she was adamant that I had to have it or else could not go forward. Period. I wish she would have told me this up front! My wife and I would not have applied and had a hard credit inquiry made on both of us! I want to let others know that the hopes and promises of your hard earned home equity loan possibility was made for me to only to be crashed by Discover Financial of *******, *******. I have approximately $140,000 in home equity, and that isn't good enough for them? Not even for a $60,000 debt consolidation loan! Thoroughly disgusted at the banking system for being so tight. They expect perfect credit to get these. Well, maybe with help, my credit would get better! Have they ever thought of that? Or do the financial Underwriters and staff have that much disconnect with good hard working people? O would like a response, but I know they would be too busy getting their next customer full of hopes and dreams.

The experience I had was really confusing. I applied for a credit card in mid-August. However, even before my card arrived, a hold was put on my account saying that I need to verify my account, which needs my signature for *** and all the other documents. Even though I'm not happy about the hold on my account before even starting to use the card, I did what they asked me to do. It said that the process may need 2 weeks, so I waited for 2 weeks. However, after a long time, I received an email saying that the signature for *** was not received, which was ridiculous because I still have the signature confirmation email in my inbox. So I signed it another time and waited for another two weeks. Today I called customer service and asked if my hold is removed (because I cannot see it on my app), the guy in the line was super rude and said nothing but repeating "the process is still ongoing". I'm already mad at the confusing and chaotic process that Discover had during the whole experience, including claiming my signature missing, misspelling my name and address in the *** document, and the long waiting time. But the customer service made me sick. As a bank with so many customers in *****************, please go and hire someone qualified instead of the [unprofessionals] who could misspell your name or get your documents lost. And for most, hire someone who could at least say "Sorry for your experience" over the phone. Thank you.

I signed up for paperless statements years ago. Now I am not receiving these paperless statements in my email. My email address has not changed. I have contacted them numerous times to get this resolved, but they have continuously failed to resolve this. The problem is on their end, not mine. I am seriously looking to take my business elsewhere.

I'm so disappointed, after fighting a merchant for 6 months for not repairing my Lexus properly and with over 50 pages of documentation that could not be denied that the merchant clearly was in the wrong, Discover stated due to the laws they had to find in the merchants favor. A ( AAA) repair shop charged my almost ***** to fix my vehicle promising genuine Lexus parts as the reason for cost. Less than 24 hours after repair my car broke down. AAA launched an investigation for price gauging but couldn't demand a refund because I had already paid in full. Because of tge repair shops 3 year warranty I took my vehicle back and they repaired a different part they claimed had nothing to do with the original repair. 2 car rides later my car breaks down again. I took my car to the Lexus dealership after a Lexus they found/ advised the work performed by the repair shop was not only done improperly but used after market parts, broke an item that was discontinued and over charged me for Genuine Lexus parts. The broken part was not made aware to me by the repair shop either. Discover was made aware of EVERYTHING. BUT per Disovers statements, because the repair shop has a 3 year warranty on repairs and the repair shop has their Insurance involved ( who BTW has been M.I.A for over a month for the 2nd time and Discover knows) Discover wants me to take my vehicle back to the repair shop and work it out because technically the charge is valid for a repair service they performed and willing to fix through their warranty or insurance company. It's like sending a victim back to their abuser. I'm utterly disgusted DISCOVER does not perform in the interest of their customers but themselves.
